I am NEVER disappointed with the quality, freshness or presentation of the food. Their service is impeccable and I highly recommend dining here.

Was excited to see that this new sushi place had opened close to my house. Went yesterday and had the best experience! The service was beyond great and the food was so delicious and hit the spot! I will be coming back often to eat here!
I can honestly say that I seriously cannot find a single negative thing to say about any of the experiences here. Very easily my favorite sushi place and the customer service is through the roof!
Yama Sushi is a new franchise restaurant in Pembroke Meadows Shopping Center. It is awesome, our favorite sushi place now! They have a few different rolls, like the Candy Cane roll, as well as the usual. Everything is made fresh and to order. Debbie and Calvin have made it great!

Service was wonderful food was incredible as always we enjoyed the complementary roll and cheesecake. The server was awesome I had to take a lot of my food to go and she packed up everything for me which was really nice. We are looking forward to our next time back soon!!!
This was the most amazing restaurant. We came in and surprised them with a party of 15 and they were so accommodating. It was awesome food. We ate many different things from sushi to teriyaki and it was all so good. They have a very fun birthday celebration song that everyone enjoyed and dessert was really amazing too. Thank you Yama for everything you did for us tonight!!!

I took myself out to lunch to Yama sushi on Valentine's day and ordered a lunch box. The salad roll was excellent as was the rest of the food. Debbie introduced herself and was very friendly to everyone in the restaurant. I will definitely take my whole family there!

Super friendly. Fast service. We ordered takeout on Christmas Eve and enjoyed visiting with the staff while waiting for the order. They even got pictures with us and gifted us some discount cards. Merry Christmas!
I had the Chicken and Avocado roll which was seasoned well. It was well balanced between sweet and salty. And it was very filling. The Spring Rolls and cheesecake were complimentary. The spring rolls didn't seem like they were cooked on the inside. It was mushy. But the outside was crisp, and it was tasty. The mini Cheesecake was delicious. Smooth, creamy, and perfectly chocolate. 5 stars for the food I paid for. 😁
I have been living in VA beach for 3 years and have been looking for a delicious sushi place! The ambience is soothing. The service is quick but does not effect the quality. I highly recommend their sushi. It was my first time and they gave my friend and I spring rolls on the house and a delicious cheesecake bite.
Ordered take out from their app. It’s super easy and user friendly to place your order. The order is usually ready before the estimated time.
The two roll combo is a hearty dinner choice. It is very filling. I would recommend trying the Iron Man roll. You are not disappointed with any roll choice.

First time in Virginia, had the best sushi, the gentleman was great and service was top tier, loved the desing of the restaurant and boba tea was delicious, my husband and i got a lot of treats on the house! Loving place, would come back if i am around, def recommend! Also ramen is great!
This place should be called Yama home cause it makes me feel like I’m home. I love Yama Chen specifically this location. Every time I’m told we are going here I do the Yama Chen dance. Always pleasant and kind service and amazing food. Fire chicken is my favorite but you can’t go wrong with anything, sushi is delicious too! Thank you owners and employees of this humble abode you guys rock
Amazing!!!! The dream roll is my favorite. A lot of great rolls if you love Salmon, crab, avacado and tuna!!!!! They give you free cheesecake sometimes and they gave us free spring rolls. We really enjoyed the decor.
Very unassuming from the outside, but not in a negative way at all. Kind of blends in extremely well. My girlfriend and I were here for date night. Any reservations we might have had immediately evaporated after we came through the door. We had Haley as our waitress, and she was truly phenomenal. She was always present but not overbearing at all, and made us feel extremely comfortable. In our ignorance, we ordered two Sushi Boats (by the way, it's absolutely huge, and comes out on an actual freakin boat!!! What's in a name, really?) and a couple of appetizers. I have never had better sashimi in my life. They have wonderfully skilled chefs, so the food service was extremely quick. The portions for their miso soup, seaweed salad, and kani salad were massive. If you leave here even remotely hungry, something went wrong. A++ Sashimi!

I had the Eel roll, very good! Atmosphere is open and traditional! Enjoyed it! I may definitely return. But they do sell fake crab “Imitation Crab” which is completely artificial. If they had fully real crab, that would be better.

Our go-to spot for sushi. 100% must try. Whenever the craving for sushi hit, this place satisfied it which made this our favorite dining-out place while my husband and I lived in Virginia. We have recently moved and we are so gonna miss this place. Staff is extremely friendly and kind, please don’t miss out on this amazing sushi restaurant!
Our first time/ experience will not be our last. The setting, peaceful atmosphere and service greets and welcomed myself and my Husband, and the delicious food is what rounded out the entire experience.
