Food was spectacular, could cut steak with fork..perfectly seasoned, right temperature, paired with Greek seasoned potatoes and snap peas. My appetizer was fried oysters, accompanied by garden salad with Greek dressing and fresh bread. Dining experience completed with an Irish coffee made with Bailey's and Kaluah topped with fresh whipped cream. Portions were large so had to wrap up about half of the meal for home
Atmosphere relaxing pleasing yet comfortable. Excellent locatfor business meeting, special occasion, romantic date, group functions or even dining alone. Fast service with a smile, staff knowledgeable regarding menu options and tastes, never felt rushed. Probably wouldn't be bring small children in 2dine if they bote easily and wan.t to run around. Definitely not the place to do that . The prices are a bit high however with the combined atmosphere, service, Food, Drinks & pleasant unexpected experience was well worth it. They also have a beautiful garden area on the right side of the building..actually that is where the entrance is located. Resturant also serves lunch, different menu and lower prices. Has extensive wine list, multitude of beer options s endless liqueurs cordials..name brand and well drinks, non alcoholic options extensive as well. Cappuccino act. Menu very large foof has Greek flair but offers lamb chops fresh seafood beef Wellington, steaks, pasta and rice dishes, with way to many to mention now.then finale is a to die for desert menu. Familiar and European options..Best dining experience I've had in years & believe me being model ive traveled to many who claim excellence, this establishment wins todays prize. Thank you Bistro 1424 in Waco Texas. I will be back to

The food is excellent, had grilled Alaskan cod that was perfectly prepared and served. Waitress and all were staff were the best. Will definitely return and highly recommend you try it out. It was a great place to celebrate my birthday with the family.
Birthday dinner for my beautiful wife. We felt warm and welcomed from the entrance greeting to our well wished departure. Pan seared cheese appetizer was a great start over the fresh bread slices. Well presented bottle of wine. We both had Caesar salads in front of Orange finished scallops that were spot on over fluffy pilaf and the veal chops with 2 sides that were simply spectacular. Finished our wonderful meal with a chocolate martini and a glass of port. Wonderful experience.
The food was very very good. Our server was very kind and very prompt. Went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. I'm from Charleston, SC but will recommend this place to anyone I know that visits.
The food was terrific. Our waitress, Leah, was so helpful in helping us pick out our meal. She was spot on on all her recommendations. Just sorry we were too full to try desert, maybe next time we go to Waco.
This place was excellent. Kinda stumbled upon it on the internet. We highly recommend it. Excellent seafood and unique creations.

We’ve been to 1424 on several occasions and have always found the food and the service impeccable. It’s our go-to place for a special night out.

Charming ambiance delicious food, excellent choice of wines, Becky was an awesome waiter. Orange roughy and beef wellington were superb! Will definitely recommend this place.
Brought my wife here for our 10th anniversary. I could not have picked a better place. Our waitress was fantastic and made sure it was a special day. My lamb steak was cooked to perfection and my wife loved her 1424 Wellington. I will definitely be returning soon.
Maria was our waitress and she and food were outstanding. Great bottle of Pinot Noir, incredible 1424 Medallions and tilapia for wife. Creme Brûlée was terrific! Excellent atmosphere. Great place to celebrate anniversary. Definite repeat.
The kind of place where you truly feel like it’s family. Although it is really clear that they have a very loyal group of regulars, even the occasional visitor receives great service. Delicious food with a special atmosphere and warm service. Fabulous!
Our waitress Leah was great! The mussels and calamari were delicious!! We can’t wait to go back!
I enjoyed a delicious meal at this Mediterranean Bistro. The food was perfect to suit my taste. I absolutely love the setting and architecture. The staff was the best! Warm, friendly and professional. My waiter even joined me in one of my pictures. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend.
We were so pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at 1424 Bistro. The service provided by the college student was wonderful. (We so enjoy supporting college students willing to work.). The drinks were delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed the margarita. And the food did not disappoint. Cleverly located across the street from a large Catholic Church it was a very pleasant evening in Waco Texas out on the patio. Well done 1424 Bistro!
Some friends and I ate there Friday night and it was outstanding. There is no place in Waco to order Halibut and the chef made it exactly like I like it, crisp, lemon and butter.
The service was wonderful and the house was full but most enjoyable. It was my first time there and my friends had been there many times before and obviously, love it.

The food was otherworldly, the service was pristine and I can’t wait to go back. Choosing a cocktail was difficult - so many and such creative mixes! I chose the pear martini and was very very happy. The decor is great, the vibe is chill and did I mention the service! Will drive up again from Austin just to go back!
Food was pretty good, service was great. Parking is a bit limited, I highly suggest you find somewhere nearby to park and walk the rest of the way. Additionally this place is fairly loud. While the inside is well furnished and clean, there are no soft surfaces to dampen sound so it is just loud the whole time. The house wine was quite good. The sides were weirdly portioned ($7 for 4 small pieces of broccoli) so I suggest the dishes that have more than a simple item. Our dessert was pretty good, and there was a good variety across the menus.
Wife and I went for a nice quiet dinner and was not disappointed. The ambiance and quality of dining was exceptional. My Lamb Shank was prepared to perfection, along with my wife Wellington. Our dessert just topped our evening off perfectly. Will recommend 1424 Bistro.
This place was phenomenal. From their excellent fresh from the sea menu selection to the great ambiance and beautiful outdoor dining to the best service staff in Waco. Tyler and Laura were exceptional going above and beyond making our late night dining experience worthy to write home about. We found our golden gem.
