(June 2023) Lunch or dinner, the food is amazing. We dined twice here and kept talking about the lilikoi dipping sauce that comes with the fruit plate.
The bar is in front of the pool so the kids can go take a dip. The only requirement is that they dry off (wrap them in a towel) before they walk into the restaurant to avoid dripping water everywhere.
The restaurant has views of the ocean and sunset.
You may use your free mai tai drink vouchers and ask for the Virgin version, tastes just like a smoothie!

We had a great experience here. The waiters were extremely attentive, and came very often to refill drinks. The food was fine for the price point. I thought it was pretty creative how the restaurant stretches around the pool. I came twice and had a great experience both times.
We went here almost every day of our stay and we were really impressed by the ahi sandwich, ahi bowl and more. We didn't try everything on the menu. Also they have different menus for lunch and dinner. The lunch shrimp tacos is to die for. As we you can eat in the restaurant or enjoy their meals at the pool.

My family's not usually the type to dine at restaurants in the hotel/resort because we typically like to adventure outside and look for the "foodie" spots. If you're like me and use reviews as a standard for determining where to eat, then let me say that this is a pretty good spot!
I tend to underestimate hotel food and the "bar and grill" title gave me the notion that they serve just American cuisine, which I personally don't prefer when I'm vacationing in Hawaii. However, this actually turned out to be a nice spot for dinner. (:
We stayed at the Wailea Beach Resort so this was only two steps away. Plus, you're right by the pool and can get a view of the sunset here if you time it up right.
The food was also pretty good! I wasn't a big fan of the double ahi roll, but everything else was really tasty! Definitely consider trying this spot, especially if you're staying at the Marriott!
KAPA Bar & grill is amazing. We ate here a few times during our stay and every dish we tried was a hit(even with our kids). Hendrix, our waiter, truly shared the Aloha Spirit with us and made our dining experience so wonderful. Not to mention, you can’t beat the stunning ocean views!
Ate here a few times when we stayed at the Wailea Beach Resort. Sashimi was quite good, as was the coconut shrimp and burger. Nice view of the ocean and staff are friendly and service is good.
Had a fabulous dinner at KAPA Bar & Grill. We loved the Poke Lettuce Cups appetizer (we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion). I had the A’lil Mushroom Galbi (a vegetarian dish), but high was fabulous. It had an umami, almost lobster-like, flavor profile from the mushrooms. I loved it so much that I might go back just for that. Our waitress was absolutely lovely, giving us an outdoor table which had a lovely atmosphere in the evening.
Really great food, fresh seafood and nice service. The view is spectacular too. It’s a bit pricey but that is expected for this type of resort.
Food is great. Environment is excellent. There is live music every night by the restaurant. Also the sunset view is priceless.
The food was flavorful and delicious. I had the fresh catch sandwich. The garlic aioli tasted great with the fresh fish in the sandwich. My eldest daughter had the tomato bisque and grilled cheese. She said it was the best grilled cheese she ever had. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the views beyond beautiful. It's a great place to sit and have dinner with the family.
A great pool-side restaurant and pub. The Mai Tai drinks are delicious. I had the catch of the day burger, and the blackened swordfish did not disappoint. The service was excellent.
Our server is amazing! She was warm and super friendly with children. The fresh catch of the day we had was mahi mahi and it was flavorful.
Mariko the bartender is amazing. She imparts knowledge with the booze with a smile. She was the best part of my trip to Maui. Cody was okay too cause he likes soccer
My husband and I vacation in Hawaii every year and we always go to Kapa for dinner most of the time we are in Maui. This year we went and found that their menu has changed and it was a little under whelming and not as tasty as it used to be. The food was very tasteless and when we asked if we could have a fish burger like how they were last year we were told that they can not accommodate any changes to any dishes on the menu. The service had also been a little unorganized as some of our servers would change without our knowledge and we kind of would guess who would be serving us or our drinks would be forgotten to be brought to our table but overall it is still such a beautiful place with the perfect view of the sunset and the people are very nice. They also have live music every night which was very relaxing and entertaining. We just wish the menu could go back to how it was for the last 4 years we've been going there or maybe put some dishes with a little more flavor.

Amazing food with beautiful views. Parking is validated. Great way to spend your evening exploring Marriott and enjoying the food and the sunset!
fish tacos and poke were great. went back and had the fish tacos again! Service was great too. Bring your Vax card or you can't eat under the patio.
5 star bar food!! Everything here ya been amazing! I had the tacos, soup with grilled cheese and burger. Amazing! I bit pricey for a poolside bar but I can see why. Love it!
