10/10. The food was AMAZING. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. And overall, a perfect experience. 4 of us. Ordered the "escargot" octopus. The hillbilly cornbread. The mushroom pot pie. 3 orders of the chateaubriand. 1 bone in new york. 3 chocolate purse deserts and 1 bread pudding. All were fantastic. W
We needed a reservation but it was worth it ! Food was fresh and well cooked. Small portions but enough. Good cocktails and beer, and excellent deserts. We tried the burgers, pork sandwich, mahi mahi catch of the day , all with Yukon baby potatoes baked with Hawaiian salt. Everything was good and ev
After reading all of the reviews, we knew we had to check it out. Merriman's has a super chill vibe, with fine-dining food so its a great blend. My wife also added on the wine pairings of which they all were great. The absolute star of the experience was the Lilikoi Margarita. Seriously delicious.
The food was amazing but the service was even better! We had a hard time finding a ride back to our hotel and they were willing to accommodate!! The food was so fresh and flavorful, I would highly recommend going off the beaten path for this wonderful local spot.
Went for lunch -- food was all fantastic; full of flavor and crisp and clean. Ambiance is lovely and bright with a nice view of the kitchen. Service is fantastic -- extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
Had a late lunch, which was an early dinner for us, since we are still set to PDT. The food is excellent, plus Ashley provided great service and information on what was available on their menu. Food items are sourced locally and artfully prepared to arrive at the right moment. Would definitely retur
It's quite a drive out to middle of nowhere but I would say it's worth the drive. I had the wok charred Mahi and it was honestly the best food I had on the Big Island. The waitress explained everything on the menu and the Mai thai here was the best on the Island as well. Great place to dine for a sp
We had dinner at Merriman’s at Oahu and we definetly had to repeat the same restaurant in Big Island. They do not have the same menu, but the flavors in both places are incredible - it’s definetly from the farm to the table. The lobster ravioli, the beats salad, and the dark chocolate dessert are a
Truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Elle, our server was perfect. Dinner started with a Prosecco toast. Then smoked taro chips with hummus. My wife order Hirabara salad, Kailua pig quesadilla and kua’aina beef tenderloin. I got the shrimp bulgogi, poke, macadamia nut crusted fish and
Absolutely fantastic place, highly recommended. I had the fresh caught Mahi Mahi and it was amazing....the sauce with it is out of this world. We drove up 250 and the drive was probably one of the top 5 most beautiful drives I've ever done. Definitely check this spot out
Ashley was fantastic! Great recommendations and the liliko'i margaritas were awesome. Get the fish n chips if they're available!
I had a chance to visit in August for my birthday. Everything was simply amazing. The staff and management made me feel very welcomed. The food was tasty and a very pleasing ambiance. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
The food was so good and our server was great, very friendly! We had brunch and it wasn’t too crowded. The aesthetics were simple, but classy. Glad we got to experience Merrimans on the Big Island!
This place was fantastic. Very obviously true to their word, it looked and tasted 100% farm-to-table fresh and high-quality fare. The service was incredible, our server was Peter I believe, who took the time to thoroughly walk through the items on the menu. The drinks were amazing as well. I’m sure
Pretty crowded and loud (and in the middle of nowhere) but the service is great and food is best on the island. Highly recommend for a special meal on your visit to the big island
Excellent experience. Meal was outstanding, as expected after reading reviews. Their take on the Mai Thai was delicious. Make sure you have a reservation or otherwise you are apt to not get seated as it’s an intimate ~20 table seating environment and it does fill up. Look forward to the next opp
Where to begin? This place rocks! Waimea might be far for some visitors but it's totally worth the drive for delightful food and drink, comfortable setting and dazzling service. Locals know it too!
Wonderful experience...our waiter Ryan was attentive and had great suggestions for us first timers. We had brunch which was absolutely delicious. The margarita was amazing and tasted so good. Make sure you make a reservation or you will be waiting for some time to get in.
