Even if you’re not a resort member, you can tell the gate guard you want to have dinner down at Hau tree and they’ll let you through. The only parking is valet, but it is complementary. The Fredrico and Mai tai here are no joke! They are incredibly well made and are perfect to watch the sunset with.
This place is perfect for lunch during you were at the beach. It’s right on the beach and food are potty good! We went a little before 1pm and took the last table. After that, there was a line for tables. It was pretty busy so you need to be a little patient for everything. Service was slow but frie
Great option for a romantic dinner and not too expensive. The sunset views were great and the service was wonderful. Some notes- the Ahi sashimi was cut too thick, should have been thinner. The short ribs were sweet (not my favorite). The fish tacos were good, but not amazing. The best part of the m
Maybe the best pace to eat on a beach on the island. The service was good. The food was fine. The views were amazing. We were there after a round of golf but I bet sunset would be breath taking.
I love this place. It had an amazing view of the sunset and kind staffs. My kids enjoyed keiki menu and the food was good. I loved their signature cocktail. They have complementary valet service for the restaurant customers and online reservations are very easy to make. Plus you can see the manta ra
Awesome place with great apps. Limited parking if your visiting the beach. This place is in a perfect location right on the beach.
Great spot to watch the sunset, on my favourite beach on the island. The food is just ok and there are some economical options, the drinks are good but a little pricey. It’s just so great to be able to be in such a beautiful place, that is not crowded and involves no waiting for tables. It was also
Wonderful beachside dining. This restaurant has been here for decades. It has been here for over 40 years; ever since I was growing up. The menu has not changed much over the years. They offer anything from salads to hamburgers to turkey clubs. They offer a full bar selection along with their well k
Hau Tree Restaurant is located at the Mauna Kea Beach Resort. On Saturday's from 6pm - 8pm they offer a Clambake / seafood buffet that includes Keahole Main lobster, fresh oyster bar, sashimi, and other seafood. They also have prime rib, caesar salad, rice, grilled fish, and desserts. It's priced
Gorgeous sunsets, amazing service, delicious food. My family and I ended our week long trip to Kona last week by choosing the ideal spot to have our last meal together beachside at the Mauna Kea restaurant, Hau Tree. We had such an exceptional experience and were there not as guests of the hotel but
Nice beach restaurant. Food was ready fast and very good for the Ribs and Poke Superfood Salad. Perfect for sunset. Great service. You need to pay for valet parking.
Awesome views. Dinner at sunset on the beach was beautiful and food was fantastic!
Nice restaurant right on the sand. Food is good (not great), but the atmosphere is lovely right on the beach and the Mauna Kea resort is gorgeous.
Great place to enjoy a drink and meal without dressing up, right by the beach so awesome views of the ocean and sunset.
Perfect spot for a snack when visiting the beach!! Staff is always friendly and attentive. Out of several meals our favorite was the fried chicken sandwich with sriracha Mayo. Fish tacos were also awesome. Mai tais are amazing always grab an extra for the walk to the beach. The view is decent too!
Pork sandwich was good but potato salad a let down. Fish tacos was a bit tough to chew through
