Highway Inn - Waipahu - Photo album

We don't live in Hawaii, and during our brief visit we wanted to escape the tourist traps and experience some of the real local stuff. Some googling led us to this place. I am *so* glad we went here instead of the glitzy place on the beach. When we got there, there was a line and we were the only to
Service was a little slow, but also, they were busy during lunch, so no big deal at first but after we were seated it seems that we had to ask our waitress for items that should already be on the table right after we sit. Food portions are large and tasty, lots and lots of food, so choose wisely. M
It was our last stop on our Honolulu food experience and it was honestly one of the better meals that we had. I had the beef stew plate and M had the LauLau and both of them were excellent. The flavors were perfectly set. The rice was ono
Very traditional food 🍱 the server was a little bit rude they need to provide a better orientation a give to the costumer the best options to try this kind of food, they validate parking ticket and read a tutorial before you go. This was our first stop and first time once we get Hawaii.
Homey welcoming vibe! Love the place, the people and the food. Wish we had more time but this will definitely be a restaurant we will come to in future visits
I haven’t been here for ages! The last time I came was when they were across the street from what use to be Gem store (Now Don Quijote) in the corner of a strip mall. They were crazy busy then and now. Nothing like a taste of local foods!
Everything on the plate is amazingly delicious! Highly recommend the chicken plate!!
This review is only for the chicken long rice since that’s all we had. My toddler is super picky and yet he loves the chicken long rice here. It was our first time having chicken long rice and we all loved it!
A local diner with amazing Hawaiian faire. The area was a bit rough but the place, people and especially the food was amazing. We went there for dinner and had the moco loco mini and kalua pig sliders. I bet it would be a good spot for brunch/breakfast! For sure the tastiest and most affordable meal
A MUST-TRY while in Oahu! To be concise...the atmosphere is cozy, the food is amazing and the staff are among the friendliest you will find on the island! If you are in the mood for some authentic, Hawaiin food, slip on your flip-flops and head over to the Highway Inn! No need for dressy attire,
