I am so happy that my fiancé took me there yesterday!! I am blown away by the collection of old antique trucks and gas pumps!! The buffet was great and after a 7 year wait, I got to enjoy biscuits and gravy, a dish not available in Canada, and they were fabulous!! Our waitress was very nice and efficient. Love the gift shop and the museum. I hope to see it again soon!!
It was fun walking though seeing everything in store. We ate the buffet and was ok, our waitress was great. The best part stopping here was going though the truck museum. I would go to museum again.
Cool place, only thing missing was a CB shop. There was one across the highway, directly across the street from mcds.
My God the flood of memories I am overwhelmed.
The night I needed to sleep buteat first and this little kid kept crying so I got up bought him a truck and we all ate in peace. Getting the shine on for a west bound run lol. I know why Nebraska says stop the horseplay it started after a good meal rest and a clean truck
Thank you Iowa 80 you lightened up an old timers heart and memories. Thank You. Lil Doc
Had the most enjoyable stay while we were there last night! The waitress in the diner (I can’t remember her name) was hysterical, and made our visit the much enjoyable. In the morning we did go get coffee at Carabou Coffee, sadly the staff there, were not as friendly.. either way I’m so glad that my husband was willing to stay there on this trip out..
Great place to shop for truck stuff!!
This place is huge. They pretty much have everything you can possibly think of for your truck. Plenty of parking available. There are several restaurants on site and a very nice size eating area. On-site repair shops and tires. Drivers lounge area. Video game room. Convenience store is full of necessities and snacks. Spend some time wandering around the main store area, there's plenty to see. Clean restrooms and shower. Navigate through the various gift shops located throughout the facility. You can also get customized apparel while you wait.
This place has a food court that includes Taco Bell, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen/Orange Julius, Caribou Coffee/Einstein Bros Bagels. It also has a buffet restaurant and a small grocery store. You can also buy souvenirs or clothes or visit the free Trucker Museum.
The complex is massive and has a movie theater, car/truck wash, and many services for those on the road including lofted beds, showers, laundry facilities, and even a dentist or barber.
If traveling with pets there is a grassy area for them with poop bags handy.
There's also a large electric car charging station.
I've been living in Minnesota for the past 10+ years and finally got the chance to visit here. Highly recommend the spot simply because it has a cool title, free museum and a ton of stuff to look at!
I used to work at a truck stop and this one is VERY much better and has lots of items for truckers. I think anyone would enjoy their time here!
Lots of photo opportunities you can share if you please.
It was my first time here but definitely not the last! The showers were very well taken care of and pretty. The laundry area was also well maintained. The third floor was being renovated so the theater and bathrooms were shut down for the time being but there’s always next time, amirite? Adored the various vehicles that were on display throughout the building. There’s a huge gift shop for tourists/travelers as well as clothing and truck accessories for truck drivers. There’s plenty of places to stop by to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner! We happened to grab a bite to eat at Iowa 80 Kitchen. There’s definitely something for everyone in here. Parking for trucks happened to be pretty packed but we were still able to get in nonetheless. If you’re able to, I suggest stopping here!
This place is massive and has so much more than one would think would be at a truck stop.
There are many food options here (fast, restaurant/cafeteria, deli/grocery).
You can take a shower, get a haircut, and watch a movie. There's even a dentist and a chiropractor.
They carry anything you can think of for vehicles. Need new headlights? A stereo? Dash cam? Rugs? They have everything! There's also many kinds of items at the gift shop.
We didn't have time to check out the museum, but hopefully on a future visit. Also, I thought there was a big play area here for kids years ago (it's been a few decades since I was last here), but I didn't see one here now.
If you're passing anywhere near here, I recommend stopping in and seeing it for yourself. This place is impressive!
There are several Pokestops and gyms here.
This is a great place to stop in your travels. If you are a trucker then it is a giant candy store for you. If your just your average family traveling, well they have plenty for you also.
Neat place. Great selection of truck accessories. Huge dog run area. Worth a stop for sure.
Museum of trucking is only open 4 days a week, i was really hoping to see that.
