We ordered A LOT of dishes and shared them amongst the table (see pictures). Everything was delicious except the chresy brussel sprouts (our least favourite, though if we had started with those we may have liked it as it was all uphill otherwise). We made reservations and spent about 1.5 hours. Atmosphere I side is nice and clean. Would definitely come again.

When we came to restaurant it was full, maybe that’s why we got cold octopus and shrimps, are were cold but tasty, octopus was soft. Be careful if you would like to order white wine - Ivory, it’s super strong, I even didn’t believe this is a vine. Better to take a sampler. And my cappuccino I didn’t like but in general I had positive emotions after our dinner in this restaurant. I loved atmosphere and service was good. I think we will come back.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Washington. Every food item was delicious. Our server was really friendly and gave us insight on each item and helped me understand history behind the dishes. Service was really fast. They have outdoor tables as well. Place is super busy. I would recommend reservation.

Stopped by after a day in the National Art Gallery. Had the Joses way tasting menu. I must admit the flavors took me back to Spain. Definitely molecular gastronomy inspired cooking with Spanish flair. Food tasted good and the course was a hefty 7 course meal! This restaurant offers several tasting menus. It was a fun experience. The only downside was I wish the server was more eloquent when explaining the dishes. (I think he was new) otherwise Excellent service. The ambiance is contemporary mixed with rustic using very vibrant reds and yellows. It can get noisy but it is easily ignores as your attention will be on the food. Recommend the Paella if you like seafood.

For Spanish tapas, it’s really hard to beat this place. I’ve been here a dozen times or so and it never disappoints. I think at this point I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and it’s all outstanding. The service is always great, the atmosphere is fun and inviting and the place is clean. Great wine and cocktail list, and if you’re not in the mood for tapas their paella is really damn good. Make a reservation if possible, it fills up quick but even if you have to wait it’s well worth it, despite the traffic in the city.

Alive and vibrant, the atmosphere inside Jaleo was energizing to be sure. While boistrous, it was primarily the sound of conversation rather than overly loud music. Service was attentive and generous. The food was delicious and packed with satisfying layers of flavor. Very glad I visited. The ibérico mini hamburguesa was a few bites of absolute perfection. Must try.

Food was good. We ordered a half pitcher of sangria and 3 plates for two people. We probably could have ordered a 4th one but we wanted dessert; the desserts were limited so we just skipped.

The atmosphere and service here are excellent. While the food is good, it falls short of being truly exceptional. Having explored local cuisine in nearly 10 cities across Spain, we found their dishes to be more flavorful and delicious. Our personal favorites are: Ensalada campera and the chocolate mousse dessert.

Food is delicious but in our opinion it was way to salty and sometimes spices were overpowering the whole taste. It’s a very busy place, be sure to book it in advance. Overall good experience, but on a pricey side.

The food was ok, nothing spectacular for being tapas. I have to say, though, the tomatoe marmalade with the goat cheese and the dates wrapped in bacon and the octopus that melted in my mouth were my favorites. The gambas, chorizo, and jamon serrano not bad. The scallops lacked of flavor, for me. Something new and good for me was the eggplant with honey. The service was really good. The atmosphere is very informal and it can be very busy.

There were six of us. Three couples. We were in town to visit museums and eat well. Reservations had been made weeks earlier. Since our last visit, the restaurant had been remodeled. It looks fabulous for a variety of clients, from sports fans in the bar area, and fine dining clients as well. We were casually dressed but right at home. Servers were very attentive without being overbearing. Food is where it's at, and it was as good as expected. We shared several appetizers and entrees, plus craft cocktails, flights of gin and vermouth, and Sangria. Appetizers included fish sopa de pescado, patatas bravas, croquetas de pollo, Spanish olives and manchego cheese, toasted bread with fresh tomato, liquid olives and salmon cones. We finished with the shrimp paella to share. A good time was had by all!

I could not recommend this place enough!! The service from start to finish was top notch! I had the chef's menu, a phenomenal eight courses, and the timing was perfect, and I very much appreciated the extra tid bits of information that was shared with me beyond just info on what I was eating, thank you Carlos! The food and wine were unbelievable and I even got to try some stuff off-menu as part of the experience.

We went for the Experience dinner and were blown away. Top-notch restaurant. Our waiter was great. He explained each dish and it was so good. Each course had 2 to 3 dishes and they were amazing. I can't even describe how really good it was. Just go.

Stop here for lunch around 1pm. I got a seat at the bar as I came solo. The staff were very friendly. I order their restaurant week lunch menu with 4-courses and two sangrias. I prefer the red over rose' sangria. Food are delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I have to say, Jose Andreas is someone I greatly admire. While the food was very tasty it just left me a little bit lacking. We did the taster menu and we tried to ask some questions because they have several tasting menus but we really weren’t able to get very clear answers, we did thought we got the more traditional tapas menu but it just seemed a little bit off. I’ve eaten a lot of tapas. I’ve been to Spain many times and it just was a little off everything we ate was delicious for the most part but I don’t think the meal was very well balanced a little bit too much fried food from my taste!. Also, I think the timing of the food was a little off like I said the food was tasty, but I was just disappointed by the overall experience. One experience I definitely did love was the white sangria was incredible thank you Jose for fighting the good fight I will try again..

Did Jose’s way tasting menu. Yes, it costs money, but it is well worth it and a good value. I walked out more than full and extremely happy. I got to try off the menu items and flavors I’ve never experienced. Our waiter was also awesome!

Never had a bad plate of food. Great to order and share a few with friends and family. Great list and options for wine and non-alcoholic options alike.
