Tryst, the enchanting DC cafe, is my soulful sanctuary in the evening hours. Nestled in the heart of the city, it beckons with a rhythm all its own. The late-night vibes harmonize with a chill vibe, creating a space where time seems to slow down. With every sip and every note, Tryst becomes a poetic
THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE WAFFLES & PASTRIES!!! I repeat, GLUTEN.FREE.WAFFLES that’s don’t taste like cardboard!!
This is the perfect place to bring yourself if you wanna get some work or reading done, all day breakfast and a wonderful coffee/ cocktail menu .
Service was a bit slow, but that’s the vibe
Great Vibe. Amazing live music.
Green Garden Smoothie is very tasty.
Chocolate waffles were good.
Also has many vegetarian and vegan options. Will return to try those.
The is place has always been a popular hotspot, and I've been coming here for years to either hangout or do work on my laptop. I noticed today that this place has definitely increased in popularity because there were absolutely zero tables available. I found myself a chair at one of the long table
The vibes here = immaculate. Seriously -- open-air, slightly grungy, unpretentious food, coffee and drinks plus tons of seating. I loved everything but the service. It is a bit strange -- you can't order at the counter and I was (slightly condescendingly) made aware of that right away. Ok -- table s
Of all the coffee shops I’ve been to in the US, this is a top 5 spot, without a doubt. The atmosphere is cool & the food/coffee is great. The animal crackers are a lovely touch. This place can get cramped, so seating may be an issue.
Amazing place to hangout with friends and chat.
My very friendly host got me a delicious Mango Lassi. Table was just right for 2 people. Place wasn’t loud, yet, you can’t feel alone.
Recommended 😃
Had a lunch meeting here with a colleague and was really hoping to each lunch. However, I was told that the restaurant didn’t carry mustard which was a bummer. I got the banana nut muffin instead and it was really good. Tryst definitely has the sweets down. My Golden Milk latte was really really go
Great spot.
Went here for the first time at night after dinner. We got tea and a slice of Carrot Cake. All was good.
The interior is really nice. Super 90’s cafe vibes. I will for sure come back to work as there is ample space and multiple types of seating (coaches, two-tops, counter).
The staff
What a cute restaurant/coffee shop/bar. This restaurant has a few of a coffee shop but yet there's a bar in it and you get full service restaurant service. We came in just for a quick stop to have a piece of apple pie with a cortado. Both the apple pie and cortado were delicious. We also got the veg
I recently visited Tryst and was so impressed with the atmosphere! The coffee shop was buzzing with energy and excitement, and it was the perfect place to meet up with friends. The coffee was delicious and the staff was friendly. The music was great and the overall ambiance was upbeat and inviting.
I love exploring cafes when I visit new places, my first time in DC last year, I came across this very cute and charming cafe on the 18th street.
We came for a light breakfast. Ordered turmeric milk, brownie , butter croissant and I don’t exactly remember the name but it was something coconut pie k
Amazing brunch spot! Community seating (big wooden tables)and also couches and smaller tables towards the back. I ordered an Irish coffee, due to the winter weather, and it was exactly as I had hoped. The quiche (broccolini and cheddar) had a rich but flaky crust, and was not overdone. I also ord
They never fail to satisfy even if the service can be slow, and well, grumpy at times. I have always enjoyed eating or having a drink here. Great place to have a bite for lunch/breakfast while getting some work done.
