This cafe is located in a landmark of Washington DC, The Willard Intercontinental Hotel, lot of history was written here. Excellent brunch, varied food and excellent service
The food is amazing! Everytime I went to this restaurant I was greeted by great service, comfortable seats, and the food was always amazing! I was never disappointed by the food, it was just too good! I highly recommend going there!
Attended yet another corp dinner in DC and it was pretty darn good. Good enough to come back again another day for breakfast!
Dinner: crab soup, charcuterie & cheese, pork with gnocchi, pumpkin creme brûlée. Everything excellent expect the gnocchi were a bit tough a chewy
Breakfast: oj, coffee & croque madam. All excellent and portion was large and a bit difficult to finish but I’m not a quitter 😂
I would note they the breakfast service was far better. The evening staff was a bit confused and seemed to mix up just about every order for the whole table.
Great leisurely meal. Excellent outside cafe. The food was very good and great portions. Some healthy options too. The duck was good but needed some veggies.
I think I would have rated this place more like a 3.7 but that wasn't allowed in the rating scale. I rounded up because of the wait staff. We had a table of 16 that they accommodated, no problem and were prompt and attentive. We ate here for restaurant week! The set menu is what all my guests went for. Reasonably priced and plenty of food. I didn't hear any raves but not one complaint to be had. Main dish was the roasted chicken. Looked very good. I had the 18 oz NY strip. Perfectly cooked and all the guests were jealous and should have been. Aged 30 years and mid rare. The hollandaise sauce was awesome! Too many place in DC to do often but it was easier to get a seat at than most other places
Looking for a nice place to sit outdoors and have coffee and a dessert then this is for you. Just a plain hot coffee and a pleasant seat in the park and your are set. It is really very nice.
Down the road from the White House, if you want a good strong espresso macchiato this is for you... Good Coffee.
Phenomenal French onion soup. My wife had the French onion soup which is one of her go-to meals. This was by far the best French onion soup either of us has ever had. The broth was incredible with a great mixture of fresh herbs. I had the Croque-Monsieur (ham and cheese sandwich), which was also great. The fries and salad that came with it were also very tasty. I would definitely go back.
Just walk up and sit down. Quick service that has easily been the most polite and enjoyable during my 5 month stay in DC. (Server: Andres). A little more pricey than I like but was very accommodating and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. Had coffee and the turkey sandwich that was very tasty. Better than I had expected. Sat back and read for a couple of hours after eating while sipping coffee. Not only would Andres refill my cup with fresh coffee but offered a fresh mug numerous times (I took his offer only once). I would recommend this cafe to anyone visiting or that is out with friends. I just happened to have a day to myself and this is just what I was looking for. Very clean and hospitable.
Classic coffee in sweats location. On penn ave next to the white house. Why not spend $7 on a presidential coffee?
Lovely evening. We managed to pick an evening to come here when the temperature was just perfect for sitting outside. When does THAT happen in DC in August? Magical. The waiter was truly delightful -- attentive, prompt, spoke to me in a little French when I used the French names on the menu, shared very good recommendations for food and wine, and was just so sweet. And the food was very, very good. My filet du bouef was excellent -- the sauce was divine. My partner's local trout was nicely decorated with fresh seasonal corn -- not very French ingredients, but a very nice incorporation of fresh, local food in very traditional French style. We got excellent wines, although the wine list was a little funny -- some overpriced mass-produced not very exciting things lined up against relatively reasonably priced interesting delicious ones -- the former probably to appease the very substantial tourist crowd at this location. And the chocolate tarte as our finale? Yes. All of this with a gentle breeze, the blue market umbrellas and a stroll through past the fountains across the street afterwards made for a very sweet evening.
Outstanding across the board. Grade: A-
Several years ago a Parisien friend of mine had suggested Cafe du Parc, but only second to another French restaurant in the area. That must have been before Chef Antoine Westermann became their consultant.
Westermann, an Alsatian chef who earned three Michelin stars in his Strasbourg restaurant, provided guidance to every aspect of Cafe du Parc, from the menu to the kitchen to the service. It shows.
A blue and white/off-white dining room was elegant while remaining comfortable and inviting. Our waiter was extemely well versed in the menu, including the specials, and the wine list. Things were looking good.
Each of the dishes was well executed and confidently plated and presented. Their taste reaffirmed the conclusion that the staff here knew what they were doing.
One of the appetizers was sweetbreads with Brussels sprouts, wild mushrooms and potato gnocchi. It was wonderful. The flavors were subtle and uncomplicated, and I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the sprouts.
For main course, my wife chose wild mushroom risotto served with seared scallops. The risotto was rich and creamy with a sauce that brought it to life, and the scallops were perfectly cooked, sweet, and flavorful.
Cafe du Parc is known for its moules a la mariniere, mussels in white wine and shallots. I was leaning toward this until the waiter--who determined that we were locals and could come back--suggested that this was always available but the seafood special of the day, the trout, was not. Good recommendation.
The trout was served skin on with a delicious wine and butter sauce. Alongside were olives, sweet tomatoes, and tiny potato halves. The combination forced me to restrain myself from licking the plate in public.
A pleasant surprise here was the size of the portions. With the kind of environment and the kind of dishes served, one would expect a minute sampling of each item. This was not the case. There was so much in each dish that we barely made it through the meal.
I am now kicking myself for not having tried this restaurant sooner. Next time, I want to try lunch, with some of the classics like a rich croque monsieur on the menu.
Pricey but good food, for me the service was fine. French onion soup was surprisingly disappointing, but everything else was great!

Fresh was the word. Cafe du Parc offers plentiful outdoor seating with beautiful live guitar music. We tried dishes from the special menu in honor of Bastille Day. We started the evening with a refreshing and bubbly Kir Royal and a Blueberry Cosmo made wi
Really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere here at Café du Parc. Very kid friendly service and good wine selection. Prices are on the high side if you are on a budget. But the high prices do not mean it's pretentious. The staff are friendly, available, and helpful. I would definitely recommend lunch or dinner here.
Service was fast and very friendly. Food was a little underwhelming.
I ordered the French onion soup to start. It was very tasty but EXTREMELY hot. By the time my main course came (Muscovy Duck Breast) it was still very, very hot and difficult to eat.
The duck was underwhelming. The actual duck breast wasn't seasoned very well. There was very little sauce which would have been fine had it had a more present flavor to it.
The vegetables were the best part. Absolutely delicious, especially the poached figs.
Finally I ordered the creme brulee. It was good, but it wasn't very "brulee-d" on the top. Overall very soft, without that classic crust. It was more spotty, with uneven texture on top. But the flavor itself was still quite good.
One of the greatest dining experiences ever! Our server, Lil, made our night! He was super kind, gave great recommendations, always made sure our glasses were full, was funny, and really took our experience to another level. We had one person in our party with a gluten allergy, and Lil made it so that even the dishes that had sauces that had wheat in them, that they’d be served on the side instead. He went through each item on the menu and told us what could be done gluten friendly, and what could not be changed. The food was delicious also! We had the mussels, pork belly, crab cake, and escargot as starters. The food came out super quick and tasted delicious! The pork belly was super tender, cooked to perfection, and the sauce that it came with was ON POINT! I had the beef bourguignon for my entree, and it was immaculate! The beef was so tender it like melted in my mouth! Delicious, and fantastic service!
The restaurant has a good location, near famous places. The prices are very high. Even if the food is delicious, it doesn’t cost such money. The cocktails were not so good as they should be. The dishes were big enough and delicious.
The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and works good.
My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. This is a very nice French cafe that will remind you of an outdoor cafe in France. We had planned to sit outside for breakfast but unfortunately it was raining when we arrived. We sat upstairs and my wife had the Belgian waffles which were excellent and I had the three egg omelette and it was really good. The server was great and made sure our coffee was always topped off. We wanted to have some pastries downstairs on our way out, but we were too full to do that. Looking forward to stopping in the next time we are in the area. Neither of us had a single complaint about this place, it was great.
This is a very nice Cafe to catch up with old friends or just grab a cup of delicious coffee and relax. Seating is available inside and outside. They offer a variety of delicious pastry and baguette sandwiches.
The cafe of the Willard InterContinental hotel. Looks elegant. The quality of food and coffee are below the expectations, but no complaints. Self-service.
We got a few pastries and latte in the cafe and everything tasted good. There was a wait time to eat dinner at the restaurant so we had to order in room service. The service at the cafe was good and there was plenty of seating inside and outside to enjoy the pastries we got.
Went for dinner, and throughly enjoyed the food and service! I ordered the salmon tartare and bouillabaisse. It was my first time having bouillabaisse, but I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. I thought the broth was delicious, and all of the components were cooked perfectly. Wish I wasn’t full so that I could’ve tried the dessert. The atmosphere was nice; a beautiful restaurant.
Cafe du Parc is a pleasant breakfast spot with a menu featuring classic French dishes. I really enjoyed their delicious Cafe Mocha and Eggs Benedict. While the overall experience was enjoyable, it didn't quite reach the level of being exceptional.
Loved the outdoor dinning! We ordered cortado and iced shakerato and a piece of cake. The cake was so hard
Nice cafe in downtown DC. Great for grabbing a quick breakfast before a day on the mall. Coffee and pastries were good, decor was very nice with lots of seating.
Cafe du Parc is in the Willard Hotel. First of all, the hotel and restaurant were breath-taking! Everything was beautifully decorated for the holidays! We ordered a Cobb salad, Willard burger, and even a side of ratatouille, which was as delicious as the movie says! Service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing! Sorry, no food pics, but would highly recommend for a spectacular lunch!
We can only speak to the grab and go. The pastries are delicious and high-end. The macaron is worth every penny and calorie! The almond croissant was good, and the spinach feta was great, but could have been warmed.
The machine was rejecting everyone's credit card, so that was annoying, but overall I can't complain.
I would go back for the macaron alone!!!
