Sette has been around for eons for DC, this is where we had our very first date 20 yrs ago. Over the years this establishment has retained consistency in creating delicious Italian cuisine. The ingredients are always fresh, the portions are ample, and the taste reminds me of what my friends nonna made when we visited. It’s a nice casual vibe w some upscaleness to it. At moment, it’s going through some major interior renovations so your options are Al fresco, period. Albeit, this is a place I’m glad it’s survived the many times of DC.

Pizza Margherita was lovely, loved the dough but the server was forcing us to leave tips as she said she only gets paid 2$ per hour. That was the down part of last night dinner

Came here for dinner on a Friday evening. Although the dining room was under construction so they had outdoor seating. Luckily the weather was nice enough to sit outside with heaters. The food was great, the service could get a bit better, it seemed like there was 2 servers for the whole outdoor service.

A great Italian restaurant in Dupont Circle. We have been coming here for over 5 years and the food is always great.

Years ago when I first moved to DC, this was my go to place. There were fewer options for good food back then. I tried Sette again last night and it was just as I remembered. I ordered my previous favorite dish Scialatelli. It was a little goopy but not bad. Same with my friend’s bolognese. The outdoor seating is fantastic. They’re undergoing a renovation right now so there’s no indoor seating. It’s a great neighborhood restaurant. I live a 20 minute walk away so it’s just far enough away that I don’t frequent DuPont circle restaurants. But if you’re around Dupont and need an easy option, this place does the job.

When my friends and I went to this place around March 23rd we had an absolute joy eating here. The food is great and probably the best lamb shank risottos I've ever had.
The image below is a few minutes after I was eating it but it was full with lamb haha

Great osteria, beautiful patio, and prices are very reasonable. The bread basket is baked fresh in their pizza oven and pairs well with a bottle of wine. Our server was great, and the food was also very good. We had the pollo Milanese and the fettuccine Alfredo.

Great brunch! Finally a place in DC with great espresso based coffees ⭐️ & great food ⭐️ & good service ⭐️ & spacious outdoor seating ⭐️ & reasonable pricing ⭐️. Many places in DC fulfill several but not all of these points. Will definitely come again to try their lunch and dinner menus.

Great brunch experience. Food was good and the bottomless mimosas for 20 dollars is a crazy good deal in DC. Maura was a fantastic server and prompt with refills and very funny. Would absolutely come back here.

We made reservations here for 10 people on a Tuesday night. We were seated immediately when we arrived and the food was great. I give it 4 stars only because our waiter wasn't very friendly. However, the food was delicious and we loved the bread and salad that came out before our meal! I ordered the raviolis filled with pumpkin and they were amazing!

We arrived at lunch time. The restaurant was fairly empty. The service was dissappointingly slow. Bread arrived after salad course was served. Took a long time to get waiter back to table once our meal was finished. Then we waited again, quite a while, for the Dessert menus to be delivered to us after asking. Then he brought us wrong dessert order to-go. Good thing we checked! Fortunately, the food was very good. We tried a blu-jito ( blueberry vodka mojito). It was very light and tasted refreshing. It was not overly strong. Side Caeser salad was a nice size. The pumpkin ravioli with sage butter was sweet and yummy. The lasagna was meaty and creamy. The cheesecake with berry sauce was good. The warm apple tart with caramel and vanilla gelato was mediocre. We thought the gelato was better than the tart. The only other issue I will point out is the bathrooms are up a flight of stairs. So, handicapped patrons may find it unusable.

This is a solid place for drinks or dinner. The happy hour is great - $8 cocktails, $7 apps (depending on which you get), $12 pizzas… perfect for a few drinks and a light dinner. The food is always good - not the best of the best, but very tasty. I haven’t had a bad dish in my multiple visits. Love the fried zucchini app.
The indoor space is under construction currently, but I’ve been before construction and it was cozy (a bit crowded at times). The tented outdoor patio is great for people watching and enjoying the air. Love this place!

went here for brunch. 9.5/10 bottomless mimosa rating. they bring they out steadily. no 20-30min sitting there with an empty glass. they keep filling you up. can't even remember how many mimosas I had, eventually stopped counting.

I was in DC alone for a conference. So I treated myself to dinner. I couldn't have picked a better place my meal was amazing (spinach salad, pasta carbonara and the white chocolate mousse with pistachio gelato....wow). In addition the service was top notch
Thank you for making my meal a great dining experience!!

Wonderful wonderful Mother's Day dinner this past Sunday! Everything from the fresh Burrata cheese appetizer, oh my, with the warm foccacia. Fresh light calamari and zucchini sticks. Beautiful entrees, including Branzino, breaded veal chop and wonderful penne alla vodka. Then dessert to share! Fresh delicious cocktails, wine and even Moscato for an after dinner treat! Thank you for the wonderful service, attention to details. What a super special evening. Thank you so much Mehdi, and also to our Anna!

Amazing! We made reservations for 6:00 on Saturday night. Service was fast & friendly. We had the shrimp and scallops for an appetizer, and we got two pizzas for our dinner. If anyone is looking for real Italian wood-brick oven pizza, this is definitely the place to go. Loved everything about it and will definitely be returning!

Christmas Eve brunch with our Daughter - bottomless Mimosas & Bellinis, Crab Cake Sandwiches, a side of bacon, eggs & spinach. It was fantastic.

The minestrone soup was average and the pasta dish I had was below average. I would not go back and can't recommend it with so many great restaurants in DC. The service was excellent food was below average.

Went on a rainy Sunday evening before the dinner rush. We were seated promptly and our waiter Nikola was very attentive and offered recommendations. Our water glasses were always filled promptly by the woman with the water pitcher. Our dinner selections, Penne Alla Russa and Lasagna Classico, were delicious and sized to our appetites. I was even able to substitute the salmon (in the penne) with prosciutto and it turned out perfect. The person (whom I presumed to be the manager or owner) checked in with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Highly recommended!
