My most favorite spot in DC. Over the past couple years my husband and I have come several times. It's always great to see the same smiling face of Jamil. He provides great customer service and always goes above and beyond. The only down fall is we don't have one at home in Port Orange, FL. I'm considering starting a petition.

Just had the Chicken Quinoa Chili - Loved it! Loved It! Loved It! Also, if you are doing Weight Watchers a very large bowl is only 10 points. I would most likely 1/2 the portion next time and eat a small salad.

Food came really fast! I ordered the superfood wrap but the tofu looked very similar to chicken ... 🤔 The wrap was packed full of food and worth the price- it obviously tasted great too. The location to order wasn't clear from the door I came in, but easy enough to work out Didn't try any of their smoothies and juices but they looked nice

Great selection of relatively healthy food options, available in either salad or burrito format. Staff was friendly and helpful as well, with a good, clean atmosphere and WiFi. The shakes all sounded delicious, but I did not partake. Don't expect a ton of bang for your buck here, and you won't be disappointed.

One of the best casual eateries in DC!!! Amazing food! Great staff, healthy options and amazingly flavorful. Definitely a must try while enjoying our beautiful Capital. Wish we had one in Orlando!!!

We just missed the lunch hour pile up! Man, this place gets busy. The food is excellent, so I understand why. However, the price is pretty high for such small portions.

Surprisingly excellent -- I ordered the Mexicali bowl, and it sure as heck looked healthy. Quinoa, kale, beans, corn and avocado, with a bit of heat at the end. It was a little on the salty side (I assume the salads/etc would be less), and a little on the spicy side (but I ordered a tex-mex kinda thing, so it's not unexpected!), but very tasty and filling. The inside of the restaurant is a little on the darker side, and it's small, quiet-ish (there's music playing), and a comfortable place to grab a quick bite to eat that's not just normal fast food. Would definitely go back, and recommend this place to anyone looking for healthy fast food.

Couldn’t ask for better ingredients. It’s a pretty quick meal with amazing ingredients and quality. I had the mexi burrito vegan style and it was awesome.

Nice place 👍🏼 Got the wriggley peeld after a harsh strength workout... it fit my macros (hard to find places that have stuff that do) and the pb choc was delish! Def pricey but we in DC so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Vegan options available, where items would be swapped for quinoa, avocado etc. If you want a quick healthy wrap, go to protein bar & kitchen.

Ordered the vegan superfood wrap. It’s a cold wrap. It’s alright but could be better if tofu was warm.

Tried this place for the first time last week. Great menu selection. The staff was friendly and helpful. Menu items are marked gluten free, vegan, etc. I had the falafel bowl. It was tasty. Service was pretty fast. The iced tea flavors were interesting and also tasty. My only suggestion would be to add a recycling bin. We ordered eat in and they gave us all plastic lids which seemed like a waste. We walked to our table, ate and then had to throw them all away. Why not make the lid an option if someone wants to take the rest home.

I'm glad a place like Protein Bar exists so close to the Mall. Everything I've had here is fresh and well made, if a bit pricey considering what they make. Their smoothies and milkshakes are especially delicious and change seasonally which is something other local fast casual spots don't really offer. If you're a tourist between sites looking for a good meal that will get you through a busy day I'd highly recommend it.

Super yummy healthy food, but the lady taking my order seemed really bothered that I wanted to switch my protein for tofu. Really not a complicated order but she acted incredibly annoyed. I liked the food though so I went back. The next time, she served the same annoyed attitude. Really? Most people should switch to Tofu to reduce their carbon footprint, but when you do beware of nasty looks you’ll receive from the cashier at this place.

Aside from the long lines (that move very quickly), this place is great. It's a great place to bring all types of eaters from the picky to the vegan to the person that will eat everything in sight. The serving sizes are quite large and many come with quinoa that will keep you extra full. Their smoothies are also really wonderful. During the season, the pumpkin smoothie is a must try. The prices are a little higher than a regular lunch spot, but the place is clean, the service is fast, and the food is delicious.

I really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was very casual, and definitely fit the heath-minded focus of the menu. As for the food, I was very impressed by the amount of nutrition they were able to pack into a single serving. The flavor was not particularly robust, and the meals were overall very simple. Best for people who prefer nutrition over taste, not for any groups with mixed preferences. Most of the menu is comprised of something mixed with quinoa, not a ton of options if you're not into that. Overall, a good experience for health-minded people.

Went in there for cold pressed juice. Had 3 different juices in bold on the menu. Not a one in the fridge. Caught attitude from the employee as well. Don't know about food but maybe crossing this one off my list just cause they wasted my time. If I met with a sympathetic employee might have been different. Ok, I'm back 7 months later. Lots of juice now! Super happy vibes from wait staff. Has vegan salad which is very well done. 5 stars
