Went here before the Red Sox - Nats game last night, and it is amazing! I could not recommend it more! The full-bellied fried clams were delicious! I've had a lot of lobster rolls in my life, and the one I had here last night was the best I've ever had. They even had ice cold Narragansett beer! Spencer, our waiter/bar tender was as good as it gets! Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful view. It’s located directly across from the Washington Nationals stadium which makes it a perfect place to grab drinks and food before the game. the food is delicious, it’s New England style sea food. Everything was extremely fresh, service is excellent, and the option to sit inside or out is great. If you aren’t looking for seafood they do have other delicious options such as their New England Smash burger. It’s such a juicy delicious classic burger you can’t go wrong with it. If you get the chance definitely stop into this wonderful restaurant, you will be pleased!

If you are going to Nationals Park for a Sunday game, this is the place to go for brunch! Across the street from the stadium and with a great river view. The wait staff was wonderful. We will go again, even if it’s not game day!

Wonderful experience. The food was sensational. Loved the fried oysters, scallops, fried cod. Order the seafood charcuterie and get a taste of everything or the Fisherman’s platter. Service was excellent.!!!

Fried clams were fried a little too much.. the whole clam should be more tender the bellies were on point the rest of the clam was fried way to much. But...even though the clam meat was not fried well. The clam belly was creamy the rolls were Delish made my own clam roll. Fries were great I will be back. Truly tasted like home. If I could give it a 10 I would! First off let’s just take in the prime location, the views and ambiance. The drinks and the food were outstanding. The wait staff was on top of their game making sure we were satisfied. The manager Carlos was presently vigilant and came around to introduce himself to everyone make sure things were running smooth. This is what true customer service and satisfaction is about.

A true gem in Navy Yard. Delicious fresh seafood right on the water. And when the weather is nice, this is the perfect place to sit outside for a drink or to watch the game. In the summer they have some great frozen options. And since it’s so close to nats stadium, this is definitely the place to be on game day. One of my favorite things to order is the lobster roll. Amazing and buttery with tons of meat.but honestly everything on the menu is solid.

Updated Review August: Great service, an amazing birthday lunch, and a specials shout out to Rebecca! Thank you. My original review from June: I’m usually an all or nothing person, but I feel this place could have been a five if I visited when they had more staff and were less busy. Their oysters are amazing!!! And their oyster shots are exceptional. The main entrees were well plated and tasty, but smaller than I expected them to be. (If mine didn’t arrive to me cold, I would’ve been happier.) Our server was not attentive and by the time we flagged her down to ask about the appetizers we ordered, she asked us if we wanted to just take them off our order ….”since it had been so long”. Of course we still wanted them! We were sitting at the table with no food. Overall, I have decided I will give this place another chance during a less busy time and see how it goes.

Amazing seafood with equally great views! Outside or inside, things are well organized very clean. The ambience is what you would expect for a seafood restaurant. Everything our group had was perfectly prepared and extremely satisfying. Even though we had special requests and instructions, everything was followed perfectly. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Their selection of adult beverages was outstanding and everything was made perfectly. Their menu did over some non-seafood options although it was very heavily weighted towards their fresh seafood selection. Everyone can find something to make them happy here. I look forward to going back soon.

This entire experience was AMAZING. The location was prefect esp. being able to walk to and from. We were greeted with a smile and asked where we preferred to sit (inside or out). Sitting inside was beautiful and service was impeccable. The oysters were delicious as a starter. The Warm Mushroom & Burrata Toast was okay. It was more cold than warm but the mushrooms were so tender and delicious. I ordered Crispy Duck Confit and OMG!!!! It was wonder. I ate everything. The duck skin was so crispy and rich. The meat was tender and melt like butter in mouth. Again the mushrooms, charred kale and sweet potato gnocchi reminded me of Thanksgiving dinner. The combination of everything left me speechless. Dessert was phenomenal. This was me and my cousin first time having a banana split and we WERE ELATED!!!!! The toasting of the banana was great. Drinks were delicious. We were able to talk to the chef and dessert was on the house. This was a great first time experience. I will definitely be returning to Salt Line DC.

Excellent oysters and seafood. Oysters were half off for happy hour when we went so I got a dozen. Clam chowder was excellent. Pricey spot, but good.

The Salt Line is fantastic! Atmosphere is wonderful and the only downside is that the menu has too many great options on it. Opted for an oyster selection to share, the Portuguese stew, and the Rockfish. All were amazing, but the Portuguese stew is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Very pricey dinner, the drinks set us over the top, but I guess you are paying for the location. Regardless, I will definitely be back!!

Went here for NYE - overall ok. Food: 4/5. The bread rolls and crab dip were solid, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the lobster roll. Bread was nicely toasted, but the lobster bits weren’t as seasoned as I would have liked. Also ordered the Brussels sprouts as a side and thought they were decent. Service: 4/5. Was a busy night so I understand that, but service was fairly slow. Waited for some time to place our orders and get the check. For the $ value, restaurant is good if you factor in the views surrounding it as others have mentioned. Though if you’re looking for stellar food, there are many other top choices in DC too.

Restaurant has a nice view of the river, food was delicious, but portions were rather small for the price. Not sure what to consider the restaurant because food portions and quality resemble that of fine dining, but staff and customers were mostly dressed casually and the atmosphere by the bar was pretty rowdy (similar to a sports bar). Not sure if I would return, but it was a nice date night while visiting DC and it was conveniently located by our hotel in the Navy Yard.

My husband and I dined for an early dinner on Valentine's Day. There is construction going in the area so give yourself extra time, but there is a parking garage so you won't have to hunt when you arrive. The host was really friendly and we were immediately taken to our table. Our waiter, Jason, was excellent. He shared recommendations, explained how to order from the raw bar, and helped me pick the perfect drink. The food was wonderful! It wasn't too loud or too crowded. Outdoor dining was available and they had heaters to keep guests warm. We went at 1715 so it wasn't very crowded in our area but before we left quite a few more tables were in use than when we arrived. If you're concerned about the crowd, an early dinner around 1700 is perfect, you'll be wrapping up as the crowd is starting to arrive. We will absolutely return to fine again!

This is one of the lesser known gems among seafood restaurants in the DC area, but we had a great meal. View cannot be beat although parking can be a bit tough given that it is right next to the baseball stadium. If you can get street parking you are very lucky. The oysters were very fresh and tasty, and the service was top-notch. Standard fare like fried seafood and hearty side dishes were all very good.

Sooo this place is forever clutch. Great place for a date, great happy hour place, great place to go before after and during games. Parking if you know this area can be tough so take that into consideration. Our server Addison was amazing! Oysters a hit- be prepared to spend a little bit it's cute and worth it! I got the salmon and my friend got the lamb chops and both of us were very happy. But Addison was so cute and sweet so she made it so worth it ! I was also celebrating my birthday and they got time the cutest little ice cream thing too

Lovely spot on the water. Good service especially considering how busy they were. I highly recommend the shishitos. Best I've had.

On my Bdays weekend adventures, we stop here for dinner. Food was delicious depending on what was ordered. My fish wasn't done..it wasn't well flavor either, it was raw, waiter took it back... they finished cooking it and brought it back out. Sprouts were great, along with my daughter's meal. The views were beautiful! It was a night experience, not a daytime.

Have been to the Salt Line many times and it never disappoints. Family agrees after a lot of trial and error that we prefer not ordering from the Entree section and stick to the Raw Bar, Classics and Sandwiches. Tonight was no different - Excellent Oysters, Killer smash burger, and to-die-for Lobster Rolls. I would give them 5-Stars but I had the Waterman’s Platter and it came with ZERO scallops. It was the end of day on Mother’s Day and Nats were in town so perhaps they had run out…but nobody said so. What I did get was excellent and perfectly prepared. Service from Kenny was stellar!

Very tasty, would go again. Got the clam chowder, lobster roll, crispy rockfish, and fried clam bellies. Clam chowder was a bit too watery for my taste which is why I had rated lower. Otherwise, service amazing, great location, and awesome food.
