The two gals behind the counter were wonderful! Super friendly and clearly genuinely enjoyed sharing their delicious ice cream with us. The shop wasn’t crowded, so they encouraged us to sample as much as we wanted to! Now that’s customer service!
But of course, the most important thing here is the ice cream. And I have to say, it really lives up to the hype. After sampling many flavors – to the point where I almost didn’t have room in my tummy for an actual order! – I settled on the gooey butter cake in a waffle cone. Holy crap. This is hands-down easily the best ice cream experience I’ve ever had in DC. And definitely top five in life :-) So excited that DC finally has a wonderful ice cream shop!
While it is good to have an ice cream store and the ice cream was good, what impressed me was the staff. If I have choices as to where to get dessert and one has a great staff and the others are OK - I'm going to the one with the great staff like Jeni's

Great staff, very knowledgeable, friendly. The ice cream sensational. The place was packed and parking was scarce. But it's worth it.
Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to DC this weekend! The ice cream flavors were all so unique and creative—I highly recommend the ricotta toast w red berry jam, and the nectar honeycomb, delicious! Will most definitely be back to try the other flavors I had my eye on.

Visiting family in the DC area, so our first time at Jeni’s and it was super yummy. The salted peanut butter chocolate chip was the best!

LOOOVE Jenis. I’m actually from MO and happened to be visiting when this one opened! I lived in Nashville previously and LOVED Jenis there. Now I road trip 1.5 hours to STL to get some amazing ice cream. Hope y’all enjoy it as much as I do. ��� great place... great people.. amazing ice cream.
There was a line out the door on Sunday but a friend recommended that we had to try the vanilla whiskey ice cream. 13 of us waited patiently in the fast-moving line and enjoyed our outrageously delicious creamy treats at the tables above the ice cream store. I'm sorry I don't have a photo but the ice creams or gone before anyone took a photo. You really need to taste them to understand what wonderful savory natural treats they are.
The ice cream is delicious. I got to try both flavors before I finalized my selection. The strawberry buttermilk and dark chocolate together was amazing, and they give you a little piece of waffle cone to go with it (just enough). But most of the people working were grouchy, except one young man who was super patient with the elderly gentleman who was in line in front of us. They all could smile once in awhile. I know the line was out the door but still.

My sisters rave about Jeni's + it didn't disappoint!
I chose a single cup + paired Gooey Butter Cake with Rainbow BFY (Buttermilk Frozen Yogurt), which is a swirl of key lime, passion fruit + raspberry. 🥳
But the Rainbow BFY is THEE one for me cos I love a tart + sweet flavor profile. It hit every note: creamy, fruity, tart, refreshing + sweet!
I could eat it errrday but sadly (errrr maybe it's for the best 🤔🤷🏾♀️😭) it's only sold in the scoop shops, not grocery stores.
Honorable Mention: Sampled the Wildberry Lavender + would definitely go back for it.

The ice cream tastes so delicious, and such unique flavors too. No one else has these flavors. Several dairy free too.
The staff was also really nice. And they’re open late. We got there at 5 minutes to midnight and they still happily let us in!
Respect to Jeni’s- they really do have splendid ice cream! The list of seasonal flavors is as long if not longer than the standard flavors. We tried four different flavors and for the first time in a long time we all left out satisfied, happy and full. The waffle cones and bowls are made fresh when you order. If you get the ice cream in a bowl you can get small pieces of waffle cones for free as well. Great helpful staff. Loved the decor & large chalkboard upstairs. This is definitely a trendy spot with all the colors and IG worthy back drops.
Who doesn’t love ice cream! I tried the bramble berry crisp which was refreshing and delicious. My kiddo went with coffee with cream & sugar and yes my kiddo .. ahh some kids are just sophisticated early on 😅 anyhow we though both flavors were yummy! The plus is they have 3 stations which moves the line quickly! Which made it more enjoyable.
Amazing ice cream with tons of options (20 flavors, 3 vegan), great prices (3 scoop for $7), unique flavors, great helpful staff who describe the ice cream and give large samples. One of my top ice cream shop experiences, strongly recommend.
I got the wild berry lavender (sweet, tart and subtle floral tones, delicious), golden nectar (nice turmeric tones, pretty good and unique) and the Texas sheet cake (vegan chocolate ice cream with cake, nice). Brambleberry crisp was also quite good.

Awesome ice cream! Loved it. Specially gooey ice cream (sorry for mispronunciation) place is lovely. Staff is friendly . Menus are displayed well enough. There are 2 levels , the 2nd level is more for sitting and hangout. It seems like there are some chunks of cakes in the ice cream . I really love it tho, sorry this review is not organized, but this is definitely better than Brusters

I love that their flavor combinations are pretty nontraditional from what you see at your run of the mill ice cream shop. And they back it up with the product actually being really yummy!
My specific visit to this location was a tiny bit disappointing as I asked for several different flavors that they were out of or couldn’t serve for some reason. It was quite odd.
But the workers were very nice, and along with the good ice cream I did eventually get it really mostly made up for it. Who doesn’t always want some delicious ice cream at any time of day, week or circumstance?? (if your answer is anything except “um yes always!” please keep scrolling and don’t talk to me lol)
Where do I start with this place. I pass by it all the time and had to stop by. I'm usually not a fan of sweets, but this spot sets the bar for ice cream. My friends and I had the dark chocolate truffle, salted peanut butter, and sweet cream biscuits and jam. We loved it all! The creamy, buttery and rich flavors here makes each scoop delicious. I suggest try a bunch of flavors and get 2 scoops. Service here is really great. I came on a busy holiday Sunday and we were served in less than 5 minutes.
This is definitely a trendy spot with all the colors and IG worthy back drops. Don't be turned away by the limited seating downstairs they have plenty of seating at the upper level. Overall this place can't do any wrong. Maybe have a rewards system to bring back all their crazy fans!
The 2 dairy free ice cream flavors they had were delicious! Almost as good as the real stuff, which can be hard to accomplish. Not sure if the dairy flavors rotate, but that definitely would be nice! Had a bit of miscommunication with the grumpy employee, but she was friendlier by the end of my visit

We’ve been big fans of all good ice cream and Jeni’s is certainly one of them. Almost all of their flavors are well thought out and made well ( some more than others) and the waffle cones are great. The only reason they get 4 stars is the scoops are ridiculously small, especially for the price that you’re paying. It seems that they’re getting smaller since we’ve been going here, too
Wow! Highly unexpected best ice-cream experience. Clean, quick and delicious! Highly recommend you stop by. We tried many flavors and our favorites are: 1 - gooey butter cake. 2 - almond brittle.

We tried a new seasonal flavor (pumpkin cake roll) and it was really tasty! As you can see we got a pint to go and shared it at the hotel. It paired nicely with our chicken sandwich from down the street. Great dessert option and such a cute little shop! They even had cake topper candles (we were celebrating my birthday so obviously we needed to grab candles to put in the ice cream 😂). Definitely recommend 👌🏽
Ok so they’ve got tons of flavors here and you’ll probably run into one you love. I had like 6 samples before figuring out what I wanted and the server was super patient and brought them all out for me. Really nice service and I was more than happy with the cone I ended up with. By the way, the waffles cones are fabulous. They make them fresh all day and they are so flavorful. Once you’ve gotten your ice cream, head upstairs and take a seat and relax with your delicious treat.
Finally made it to Jeni’s! Pretty easy experience if you can catch them when the line is short, they call you up to the counter and you can taste the flavors you like. I tasted one called Texas sheet cake and one called gooey butter cake, both were amazing! I love the selection of non traditional flavors, and that’s not to say they don’t have all the greats! I ended up going with salted caramel and milkiest chocolate and loved it, went for the 2 half scoops in a cup and they offer you a free waffle cone piece along side. Would totally go back! (Plus they have the calorie counts listed on the menu)
