Letena - Washington DC - Photo album

Probably my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the entire United States as of now, especially because this place has amazing food, excellent service, and a totally gathering-friendly atmosphere and pure cleanliness. I cannot find a single factor that I wanted tp provide constructive comments about. My
Friendly staff. To taste Lots of choices, We ordered the vegetable sampler plate # two and meat sampler plate # two, 🍽️ 😋 + shrimp goulash ‼️ Tasty choices🤤
I had the pleasure of trying their meat sampler plate. The plate was a great, and featured a variety of meats such as beef, lamb, and chicken. The beef was particularly tender, and the lamb was rich and flavorful. All the meats were served with a side of traditional Ethiopian injera bread, which was
Lucky for me, Letena was one of the first restaurants I went to when I moved to DC last year. It has become my most consistent go-to. My boyfriend and I always split the Veggie & Meat Samplers 1 — maybe one day we'll branch out, but haven't needed to yet. The food is consistently delicious, the staf
I had my first experience with Ethiopian food here and loved it. The staff was very friendly and happy to explain everything. My party ordered a meat dish and the vegetable sampler and we couldn’t finish all of it, it was so tasty but also very filling. The prices are also low for DC, but you truly
Amazing food, service and ambiance. Took a group here and we all enjoyed. Will definitely be back. We order a vegetarian platter and one of the regular platters.
Highly recommend Letena's lega tibs if you like spicy food! We also got the veggie sampler, which includes hearty portions of lentils, steamed cabbage, collard greens and tomato salad served on freshly prepared injera. Service is prompt and the staff are incredibly friendly!
This was one of my favorite dining experiences in recent times :) We had a reservation, and they gave us this really nice corner table. We were always greeted with happy faces. The restaurant is just beautiful with art that really appealed to me. By the windows, they had jars of lentils too! The in
Such a wonderful spot for a cozy date night. The food is amazing—we got a two-person meat sampler—and the flavors blew us both away. Can’t wait to come back!
One of the best Ethiopian food I had. The lamb tip was great. Juicy, tender and a bit spicy. I recommend eating with the jalapeno. For the meat sampler, the chicken was a huge letdown. The tomato sauce is too overpowering. I prefer the injera over rice for my meal. The tea was full of spices, taste
Best Ethiopian in DC. I write this having made the rounds. Fresh. Flavorful. Well seasoned. Plentiful. My advice: start with the broccoli & avocado salad & lentil samosas. Finish with the veggie sampler with a side of beef stew. Collard greens and mushrooms are the standout in my opinion. Great v
Best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had! Great flavor and very kind staff. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a great night out with good vibes.
In a city with numerous great Ethipoian restaurants, Letena stands out. The food is fantastic and bursting with flavor, the proprietors are helpful and kind, and, in an era where $30 can buy you a snack-sized entree at some places, here you get a hearty meal for less. Highly recommend!
Letena Ethiopian Restaurant has tasty Ethiopian dishes. Not DC's best, but definitely a higher-end place. Great selection of Ethiopian lagers. Good multi-dish sampler platters that are large enough to share with company.
Amazing food amazing price. First experience with ethiopian food. Loved the variety and depth of flavours. Highly recommended for those willing to try something new and those who know what to expect.
I moved back to DC in May of this year and Letena has become a staple in my eating out rotation. From the moment you enter the establishment to the moment you leave, you’re surrounded my good energy and a passion for food. The staff members are friendly and always make me feel at home. The food is e
I’ve been already 5 times to this restaurant. Every single time the food is 10/10 and the waiters are so friendly. Totally recommended!
This was my first time trying Ethiopian food. Taste and presentation were great! Service was patient and friendly, but a little slow. Definitely worth a visit.
