I visited a Mellow Mushroom near Evans, Georgia and wanted to try the pizza here in DC. What a great choice! The staff are all wonderful! Dave and Cory are fantastic recommending and serving drinks. Charlie is an awesome waiter and the food was magnificent! We spent three different evenings there for drinks and meals. Thank you for great DC hospitality.

Excellent spot! Great vegan pizza choices, terrific beers and our server (Ethan) was helpful, friendly and perfectly attentive. About a 20 minute walk from the Woodley Marriott where we are staying. The walk was through pretty neighborhoods with plenty of people around. Highest recommendation for a good meal, great service and a cool vibe.

Delicious and amazing!! They handed out slices while we waited in the long queue at the pop up shop for the march swag. Will have this place on my list of must visits every time I'm in the city! Merci

PLEASE open up a shop closer to CT! I live in new haven and supposedly we have the best pizza around but I say it’s all you! Come to Boston, Rhode Island or New York!

Our first visit- delish! My son has food allergies and they were very accommodating! We had fresh salads and pizza was perfect! Pretzel bites were a hit too! Service was good and we sat right up front where we could see all the street action on a busy night as temps warmed up. Highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere, pizzas are the best and such a selection of beer it made my head spin. If you are lucky you'll even get a gummy !

The pizza dough is so light and airy, and of course really good. The pretzel bites with beer cheese and mustard is a given. Friendly and very polite staff. Great local place and it started in Atlanta Ga (Yay Ga!)

We visited late at night on a Saturday and the place was busy but not over-crowded! We hiked up to the rooftop bar and it was a nice spot. Yes, the pizza is pricey but it's delicious! The great thing about this place is that the drinks are slightly cheaper then bar drinks. The only room for improvement that I have is the service. We waited a while for our server to come to us and then we waited a while for the drinks to make it to the table. We did not eat though because they were closing their kitchen. The servers were super friendly though and the manager was polite when they gave us last call for the roof. Overall, good experience, would recommend, and will be coming back.

Amazing spot! Created my own pizza here and it came out great! Didn’t expect the pizza to be this good but it definitely left me impressed. Great ambiance and even better food. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite place to go when I travel to DC for work. I end up here a few of the days I'm in town. The pizza is fantastic. But, get the pretzels, they are amazing. Great selection of beer, kind staff, and it's in Adams Morgan, so after Mellow Mushroom, go to Tryst and get some great coffee and enjoy a night out in DC.

I can't say enough about how much I love this place. I went here for dinner within a half hour of moving to DC, and everyone there was so positive and welcoming. I ordered a vegan pizza with avocado, black olives, Spinach, and tempeh. This was the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was perfect, it was covered in toppings, it had the right ratio of sauce to cheese, and I can't wait to eat my leftovers. They also have a nice selection of beer. The bartender, Hector, rcommended a couple, and he even bought one of my beers as a welcome to the city. Highly recommend that you visit this location if you're anywhere near Adams Morgan.

Fantastic pizza, amazing pretzels, and a dope beer selection. And that's not all! They make some ridiculously good sandwiches as well. As a person who doesn't eat meat, Mellow Mushroom is my decadent wonderland.

Excellent food! Awesome Staff! Highly Recommend Visited with a large group and only gave them two hours notice. They welcomed us and set up tables exactly as we requested. The service for a large group was very friendly, fast and accurate. The servers got all of the 30 orders perfect even with our split checks. They have a great variety of pizzas and sandwiches. The food was excellent. The management and staff could not be better. We will definitely return!

Decided to make a stop here to sit, talk, and have a nice pie. Even though it was busy, they had room for two more. Service was nice and did not seemed bothered that we stayed a little longer to continue our talk, but we compensated hopefully in our tip. Now to the good stuff. Beer and wine selections were as diverse and limited as any other place around, so if you are looking at just a bar - don't go here. Yet if you are looking at a pie that is full of flavor- this is the place. We ordered the largest one for two people. Needless to say, a box was needed as there was no way we were going to eat all of it. Partly due to the hummus appetizer we started with. That was both a good and bad call as we really did not need it, but it was very good. Enough for four or more people to enjoy as an appetizer. The pizza was a little dark, borderline burnt on the bottom, which made it easier to pick up by hand, but for some of us who like to eat our pies with utensils, cutting it was a little difficult. Overall, would I go again. Absolutely. I would leave off the appetizer, order the pie,and have one drink (or two). The roof top was closed, which disappointed us, but it was still a great place to go.

I went on a Tuesday, which apparently is trivia night. More on that later. Place is nestled right in the high activity portion of the Adams Morgan strip, a door or two down from Tattoo Paradise. There's an upstairs, possibly a roof, but I didn't see it myself. I did see a patio that comfortably seats three tables of <3. The staff seems capable, and moderately friendly, which is like the best friendly. You know what I mean, they're helpful, and knowledgeable, without being that overly, weird, bubbly that is just kinda fake. Great selection on draft beer, without being too...uppity. It's a pizza joint, and while that isn't really kicking down any doors, it hits the spot. They have a great happy hour price point, so check that out. Tuesday is trivia night. Get there on time, and make sure you have a space at the tables closer to the kitchen. This is where trivia host guy has his set up, and his speaker only blesses those in that area. (Which is a plus, if you aren't there for trivia, and don't want to hear mundane questions about something random no one cares about.) All in all, the place is cool. Check it out!

My wife and I have nothing but praise for the Mellow Mushroom Restaurant. We have ordered from them several times. There Chef's Salads are the best in Washington. There Pizza are delicious. This is the only place we will eat now in Adam's Morgan. There staff is the best. Hats off to the Cooks. Please give it a try. Special thanks to David for introducing us to this fabulous restaurant.

My weakness... The best pizza, always love the unique environment of each MM, this one does not disappoint! Excellent, fast & friendly service every time! Always end up eating too much! For beer/bar people - large selection, beer club, happy hour specials as well as lunch specials on food, so take advantage of a pizza special to go with your drinks!

I strayed from my normal order of the House Special pizza and got half Mighty Meaty and half Rib Eye Pie. I wasn't a huge fan of the Rib Eye but that's mostly personal preference. The Mighty Meaty had all the meats but was a bit salty. Our table had the pretzels as an appetizer which were nearly perfect. Soft, warm, and not burned at all. They came with marinara and mustard as dips. I would have gotten the beer cheese dip if I could do it again. The best thing about this location is the service. It was getting busy but our servers were attentive, kept coming back to make sure we had everything, and were pleasant. They were flexible for our expanding party and the tables make it easy to make bigger tables or break them up. I would go to this location again for the service alone.

A LITTLE pricey and the sauce is really sweet, but otherwise a great spot for damn good pizza. Lots of drink and topping options and the crust is so unique. Try and get a rooftop seat! Great views of Adams Morgan (the whole name -- not "AdMo" or whatever y'all are calling it these days)

If it's warm, sitting on Mellow Mushroom's roof is awesome! The other locations are pretty nice too; it's a cool place to meet up with friends and grab a bite to eat. I don't think the pizza is anything special, but it's certainly not bad at all. If you're looking for a cool place to go, this is a good spot. If you're looking for high-quality pizza, you might want to try elsewhere.

This place has one of the best gluten free pizzas around! The craft beer selection is also very nice. Great views from the roof, if you can get a seat up there. It gets crowded on weekends, but is worth the wait.

DC isn't exactly the best town for pizza, but it's good to see this southern chain bring a cool atmosphere and tasty dough here. And they picked the perfect neighborhood -- Adams Morgan. There's a lot of flexibility with the menu and it's nut-allergy friendly (their pesto is pine nut free). It fits in well with the other restaurants here. The staff tends to be decent but somewhat inconsistent; for a fairly impressive beer lineup, sometimes I'll get someone who doesn't know what glass to pour it in, or what style they're pouring.
