I went here three different times before I realized there was a downstairs - and it was awesome! Whoever owns this place is clearly a badass. Definitely the kind of guy you'd want to hang out with. Named after the Iron Horse comics.
Different draft beers daily! We found some pretty obscure beers here. Impressive!
Friendly service and nice rustic interior.
Great drinks and informal atmosphere. Games for everyone. A jukebox. The best thing about this place is the extensive beer list. I love how it shoes the distance to each brewery and gives a detailed description of each beer. I've loved every beer I tried here. Loved dancing here while passing through on a drunk adventure.
Corner bar atmosphere. Trace is a great bartender, just makes it a friendly place. I wish I could spend all day there....or week.
Surprisingly full and reasonably priced draft beer selection for a bar so close to the arena. Pretty good atmosphere and reasonable amount of space. Happy hour runs until 8 so it is a great place to grab a couple of drinks before you get fleeced at Caps/Wizards game or concert.
Excellent dive bar with large selection craft beer. Good happy hour specials 4-7pm. Bring your own food. Downstairs good for groups, playing games. Upstairs is usually quiet enough during week to carry a conversation (as long as there isn't a big game or concert at Verizon Center up the street).
This is a great dive bar about a block or so away from the Capital One Arena. It's a great pit stop before or after a game/show/event. They have a great beer selection and a really nice open bar area. I especially liked the bathroom - patrons would write on the walls and it was a very interesting read. I recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.
Good selection of beers and very fair pricing. This is one of the few bars in DC that really tries to curate a selection of local brews with an emphasis on what's fresh and in season. The bar itself can be a little loud, but it's a fun spot to come with friends on the weekend or after work.
We stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon. The decor was cool, a couple of old bikes and a couple screens with the games on. The beer selection is great. I had the fun experience of watching a guy try to order a Bud Light, the bartender informed him that the only cheap light beer served is PBR. Fine by me, more taps for good beer, that's why you go to a tap room.
I would like to check it out again if I'm in the area in the evening to see what it's like then.
Cool motorcycle themed bar. There is a downstairs area that has two different bars, skeeball, shuffleboard, golden tee, and 4-player Pac Man. The beer list contains several craft brews from all over the country and includes multiple varieties. They had a good happy hour special for Sunday, which included $2 off draft beers. Overall, good place and I would definitely go back.
