It's a perfect diner, a great example of the trolley car diner with fun antiques. The burgers are fantastic, the staff is attentive and efficient and friendly. it's not a crisp, new replica of a vintage place- it is a vintage place so keep that in mind as you visit.

Been eating at Ollie's since '88 & the food is still delicious. The food is definitely worth the price tag I see everybody complaining about. Good food costs & they cook everything fresh. I am saddened that all the figurines & memorabilia is gone though other than that, still my favorite burger/crab cake spot in D.C

I need to start by saying that I am not a burgers person, but this place completely changed my mind. I read some of the reviews and decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did. I enjoyed Ollie's original bacon and cheese burger. OMG it was so delicious and the fries were really good as well. We also order the chilly cheese hot dog and it was also super delicious. Everything tasted homemade. Don't expect a fancy place because it isn't, but it's definitely worth the stop. Enjoy!

Old school diner... Had a great chicken cheese sub and Philly cheese steak with house fries. Had one of the best strawberry shakes ever! Speedy service too.

The burger and fries were both excellent. I like crispy fries and while these could have been slightly crispier, they were still really good. The fry seasoning was great. The pricing was high, but that is all of DC for you. The biggest problem is the service. The person working the register was awful. Someone in front of me asked what sides they have. She just pointed to the sign with no verbal response. He then ordered a shake and she said we don't have any right now. No signs or other indication that they weren't available. I was order #3. She eventually called order #2 and got rude and loud because no one picked it up. The person in front of me looked at me and said hey I think that is yours. So I went to check and sure enough it was. I told her I was number 3. She just said h I called the wrong number. The food was solid. Probably the best burger and fries I had in DC. But if you are looking for efficient or friendly service, this is not the place.

Yep, cash only. Don't assume they have everything listed on the menu. (No crab cakes, rootbeer or bacon tonight.) Service started out not terribly friendly, but warmed up a bit by the end. We waited about 15 minutes for an order of 2 fish sandwiches, a veggie burger, 3 pops, and an order of fries. The food was very good, and a good amount, too, one fish fillet was split onto 2 buns.

We were in DC for the pro Israel rally. We came in to use the bathroom. We wanted purchase drinks of water in order to be a customer being that we are kosher and couldn’t eat the food. They are the nicest people who gave us the water. When we tried to pay they said , “No. it’s the least we can do!” Thank you It’s nice to experience when good trumps evil.

Ollie himself takes your order! Not the most personable guy but he's old and probably tired of everyone's $#!@. The food is absolutely delicious! We came yesterday for the 1st time and it was so good, we came back today. The fries are probably the best I've ever had. Try it...you won't be disappointed!!

Amazing food! I had a turkey burger with just provolone and house sauce, my father had the steak and cheese sub and we shared fries. We have no complaints on food! It was delicious, they give good portions and the fries have an amazing spice. The house sauce was super good, a bit tangy, can’t get enough of it. If I’m ever back in town I will definitely suggest this! And I suggest it to you to! Only complaint is the place needs some fixing up here and there. Besides that it is a clean, cute, quiet, tasty place!

The Ollieburger and french fries were great! Old fashioned style, and all the place looks very retro. I'm giving it 4 stars because they only take cash, however, they have ATMs inside the place in case you didn't bring any cash with you. Highly recommended! They also have a veggie burgers.

This place doesn’t look like much, but the food and service are great! The burger and fries were awesome. This is a great little stop and so much better and cheaper than many “cool” DC places.

Such a quirky and interesting spot! WARNING: they only take cash (very odd for 2022). They have a lot of classic options like chilli, burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc. The service was friendly and my meal came out quickly. I love this spot too because it’s very spacious with big booths and tables so you don’t feel packed in with strangers.

Don't be fooled by the ghetto look to this restaurant, the food is really really good. Only issue is the fries were a little too seasoned. But all of that can be ignored because THEY HAVE A COW IN THE RESTAURANT!!!!!

Outstanding food that is affordable! I loved their burger and the fries are so delicious!Seriously, if you come here you have to get the fries! I couldn’t believe how inexpensive the food was while being this close to the capital! The inside reminds you of a burger joint from better times. Do keep in mind that they only accept cash, but that also keeps in theme with the hand written signs and the nostalgic feel of the place

The location does not serve crab cakes any longer. The fries are shoestring fries with a five guy style seasoning. Pretty good meal but for 20$ not sure if I'll be back until the crab cakes are available.

Honestly, I was pretty skeptical about trying this place. I’m glad I took the chance. While the environment inside isn’t very appealing. The food was amazing. The Chicken Cheesesteak & fries were one of the best I’ve had. Definitely give this place a try. They also don’t accept card. Only cash lol.
