Thunder Grill - Washington DC - Photo album

I only gave this place a 4 out of 5 because I have only had 2 things on the menu, but it would be a 5 because I went twice back to back in the last two days. A family member spoke highly of this place & I can't wait to try more of the menu. Everything looks so good and the cornbread was amazing! I l
Excellent service! Wonderful nachos, the coconut shrimp appetizer was delicious. I love the sweet potato mash that it is served on. The drinks are a little pricey but where aren't they in DC. If you read a bad review about this place it just simply isn't true it's a wonderful, wonderful establishmen
I usually go here for a quick dinner while waiting for the train. The Salmon Tacos are great. A good selection of beers and usually attentive service. I have been here on one occasion where we couln't get the attention of the bartender and left.
Food was good, service was good, and restaurant was fine. Service was slow. Took a long time to get the check.
I had breakfast here on a cold day in March. The coffee was good, the service was also good. I had the mushroom and Swiss omelette that I enjoyed. This is a great place to sit and people watch while you marvel at the architecture of the train station
Good restaurant, convenient location, inside the metro station, good food options, good variety of choices, good size place, 2 levels, decent prices, OK services and remember it's busy so services a little bit slow but it's good services.
Our server was excellent and I apologise that I cannot remember his name. We spent over an hour there and he never made us feel rushed or that we were waisting his time. The food was excellent and some of the best iced tea that I had in Washington DC. The Cuban sandwich meal was fantastic as well.
Decent spot to grab a barstool and pass the time while waiting for Amtrak departure. Quick walk to Capitol through a pretty green park. Easy to access from Supreme Ct, Library of Congress, Folger Shakespeare and Eastern Market. The front entrance of Union Station, unfortunately, is a gauntlet of un
- awesome food - good service - friendly staff - food was ready quick - prices not bad for the area - clean business - highly recommend for sure
I gave this restaurant a 5 star rating because they were great. The host, manager even my bartender. They were all super helpful and on top of it. The bartender Nancy attended me right away knowing I was in a rush to catch my train. She made everything work knowing my time limit. Nancy recommended m
From the Hostess to the Server we had a great experience for our party of 6 looking to have a nice lunch between touring the city. Very impressed with all of the options within Union Station. Several of our party came back to Thunder Grill again and again. The Service was excellent as was the foo
Good place to eat before getting on the train at Union Station. Typical burgers, sandwiches, etc. But nice atmosphere especially if you sit facing the great hall. Didn't try any of the beer or other bar offerings. Lunch for two came to about $40 including tax and tip. Not cheap but you could easily
Visited for happy hour. Table service exists if you are dining but not for happy hour (5p--7p). Have to order drinks and food at the bar which is generally packed. Might be better to have an order station for those who don't want to sit at the bar itself. But food and drinks were good.
Great place for incredible social (or happy) hours. The food is great, and the appetizers are delicious. The rich variety of IPAs is also a first-rate experience you have to try at least once. Ask for Nancy, she will treat gentlemen as emperors and ladies as empresses. Bottom line, this amazing pro
