Was out exploring Georgetown for the day and stumbled upon Mr. Smith's of Georgetown because I was starving. The establishment has a homie feel to it and guests can either dine inside, enjoy the weather outside, or even eat upstairs. I read somewhere that on certain days they have someone playing the piano while guests dine/watch/listen. Service was pretty decent. I was a bit confused though because while I did have a server who took my drink and food orders, the host (I believe) was the one to give/collect my bill/tip... Not too sure if there's tip pool that gets divided at the end of the shift, but it threw me off a bit. Not a big deal though because the host was very kind and polite and I really appreciated that. Now on to the food/drinks. I really wanted to get a burger but I decided to try out the Cuban sandwich with fries. I'm glad I did because the sandwich was delicious. Just the right toasty outside and hot melty cheese and moist flavorful pulled pork and ham on the inside. The fries were a nice compliment as well. I did try out a happy hour margarita and a pecan pie for dessert but they both played second fiddle to the Cuban. If I visit Georgetown again, I'll make sure to come back for that sandwich alone.

I had breakfast here and their portions are so big I couldn't finish it. The omelet was so amazing. I also like the atmosphere. The service was so nice and fast

If you're in Washington DC you MUST visit this bar! Great bar and attentive staff who know what they're doing! We had such a brilliant evening on arriving in the US. Karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays and we got things moving! Sat at bar and came back next day for a couple of beers. This needs to be on everyone's list for Washington bars.

Oldie feeling place with decent food for the price. Large portions. So I think the only place in georgetown where you can get outside city-like food, price, and portions.

This was a new experience for us. This is live music karaoke, which can be pretty daunting. If you’ve not done it before The piano player was awesome. He was supportive and helped us along with the music, changing keys when we needed to and everything The bar is old-fashioned and very neat to be in the atmosphere was young and vibrant. It was very nice.

Mr Smiths has great interior and old world tavern feel to it with plenty of TVs for watching sports. The service here was great and very attentive. The menu had plenty of options for all ages. I ordered the steak and cheese with fries. The flavor on the sandwich was really good and the cheese was nice and melted. The fries were really well done and came out nice and hot. I had wished the roll on the sandwich was a bit more sturdy. All in all it was a great experience in Georgetown and Mr Smiths was part of that.

I moved to Georgetown a couple years ago and I’ve finally found a place to have a beer and a good reasonably priced meal. Unpretentious, cozy bar/restaurant that is welcoming. I’m originally from Erie PA. I’ve lived in the DMV for twenty years and this is the first time an establishment reminds me of places back home. It’s location is removed from the beaten path of M street tourists. Ernesto did a great job of sharing the history of the place, serving me and making me feel at home. I’m DEFINITELY coming back to support this gem of a restaurant/bar.

Sat outside on the sidewalk and enjoyed a few $5 cocktail specials. Most were well made but the rum and coke was definitely lite on the rum side. Saying that all the other drinks were well made and tasty. Being from out of town I appreciated the concept of sitting outside under the overpass.

This place was a good place for cheap drinks and apps. We went here after getting food elsewhere and found 5 dollar margs and other drinks and split a french fry, which tasted good. If you want some cheap drinks in the georgetown area I would recommend. We didn't try any of the food and mainly got the happy hour drinks. The strawberry marg tasted like lemonade. I actually enjoyed it, usually don't like margs.

Good place to eat, not so high price. Brunch from 11 a.m till 3 p.m. - for 16 $ champagne is bottomless. But they include 17% of tips in receipt.

Ordered the half rack of ribs w/shrimp entree and it was beyond appetizing! Plate came in sizzling too. Food was on point. There were other things on the menu I wanted to try but narrowed it down to this. Worth checking out again!.

Nice pub to come down to. No music when I was here Saturday 7-9pm but the service and food were good. Many options and diets catered for.
