Irish Whiskey Public House - Washington DC - Photo album

Great place with a great atmosphere and customer service. Great place to drink and socialise but the good is a little overpriced for the quality because you are actually paying for the environment. Great place overall.
I went to brunch here. They provide you a bottle of champagne for every $10 you spend on food. The steak and eggs were okay. But , the saddlebags were delicious! I'd definitely return. The atmosphere was great too. Ended up making friends with the table next to us!
Good place to go for a happy hour near downtown. Convenient location near M street and 19th NW. The seating outside is decent, but the benches have the nail heads poking out of the wood. Be careful of your clothes. The whiskey flights were very reasonably priced at $10. You can either get a bourbon
Amazing. I held an event here (a masquerade ball) in the Dublin room upstairs. I was a little scared of this little pub - would it be the best location for this? I was so overwhelmed in DC on where to have the event, and this was the absolute BEST choice. The room was PERFECT (50-70 people) with pri
Pretty much my go-to for happy hour since it's usually pretty empty and relatively cheap. But, I recommend you don't stop there as I did for too long because they also have GREAT food. I mean - surprisingly great. Get the pretzel bites, always.
A surprise hit for happy hour. Always a pleasure to see a pub or restaurant put in the extra effort on decor, and this place did in spades. Fine detail inside, and no evidence they did anything on the cheap. Service was excellent - yep, actual Irishmen behind the counter. A friendly bunch staff
Loved it! Very fun intimate feel, friendly service, and the food was amazing. I had the shepherds pie and the pretzel bites appetizer. Seriously delicious. And the filet my boyfriend had was crazy tasty. Definitely will be going back!
Always a fan favorite. Great selection of whiskeys and not against you and 10 of your friends chasing good whiskey with pickle juice. Bartenders are nice and sociable and the digs are pretty amazing. My friends and I tend to start our night off here -- and its a great launching pad for the dupont
I come here for the steak and fries. And the beer. And the whiskey. And the bartenders. But really, the steak and fries is a great value for a downtown, nicer looking bar. The steak is very large, not one of those dinky 6oz cuts you get elsewhere in this city for a lot more money. On top of th
$1 bottle champagne with $10 food purchase on Saturday and Sunday brunch. Get a reservation because it gets busy because it's the best deal in town. ALSO delicious is dinner menu with candies bacon (WOW) and the burger is fantastic as are the pretzel bites. Oh and the extensive whiskey selection (ob
Come here for happy hour with coworkers fairly often and really do like the scene of this bar. Recently discovered the upstairs, which is a more relaxed part of the bar. Pretty good happy hour deals and specials. The pretzel bites are to die for so I definitely recommend those!
Ended up here for a second time last night, and I wasn't disappointed. The decor inside is very laidback and enjoyable, and the service was impeccable. I dove into their food menu and came away surprised. Guinness mayo? Yes please!!! Combine that with a great beer selection and folks, we have a winn
Good Irish whiskey range. Only been on the ground floor (they have three levels) but staff there were really friendly and it's a nice atmosphere. One of the best bars near Dupont Circle.
Breaking out the Irish Pub Criteria. GO! Beer - They got it Whiskey - They got it (lots) Food - They got it, and it's surprisingly good for an Irish Pub. Honestly, the wings are good, the steak is good, the shep pie is good. I haven't had a bad meal here yet! Price - It's DC and you can expect t
I went here for Saturday brunch with friends and we had a great time. We were almost all alone in the basement area which was great. They have a great special for brunch purchase an entree for 10 dollars or more and get a bottle of champagne for 1 dollar.
FIVE STARS! LOVED IT!!! We were visiting with some friends who live in Alexandria and they told us that Sunday brunch in DC is a good plan to make. We searched thru lots of restaurants and this place sounded interesting so we decided to check it out. We arrived and there were a few tables available
Good whisky selection (as one would hope on account of the name), also surprisingly good beer selection. I like the seating outside. Usually very personable staff.
