Popped in for a quick bite to eat. The dining area was simple but nice. Easy to place an order. They provide you with a sheet to select the type and quantity of sushi you would like. The best part is the food tasted great. Definitely would go back.
Had a wonderful lunch on a Saturday! Fast service and the food was wonderful and very tasty. The servers were very attentive and the experience was overall outstanding. For me there was an underlying smell I couldn’t quite put my finger on. It was not pleasant but also wasn’t so bad that I couldn’t stay and enjoy my lunch.
Fresh sushi and sashimi with reasonable price. BEST SUSHI RESTAURANT IN DC EVER!!!. Even busy Friday night but the food not take long time to wait ,otherwise, the staff are friendly and warm. We’ll come back soon
Lovely sushi restaurant. The prices are a little higher than your average sushi restaurant, but the presentation and service were both great so I have no complaints. Would recommend any of the dishes!
My friend and I were here for dinner. We ordered a lot of food. We had bento Box chicken and tofu box. The food and drinks were delicious. The service was awesome 👏 we definitely will be back again to try more food.

Our sushi roll special was very fresh and tasty. I love the way how they prepare and presentation the price are reasonable for this area. I have been to Japan many times and the here are similar the service always warm and welcoming. I definitely be back and recommend this place.
This is best sushi place around here, the service is fabulous and the foods always delicious, the portions are pretty good size. I definitely will come back and try other menu.
Enjoyed coming here after a long day at the DC Convention Center. Walked in around 2pm on a Saturday and was seated right away. The staff was prompt and took our drink and food order. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner and our table ordered a variety of sushi & ramen. The food & sushi were tasty, and the service was lovely! A gentleman came out as well and made sure our food was good (maybe a manager?), but the staff was already so prompt that we didn’t need anything else. I would enjoy coming back when I’m in the area for work again.
Street parking only - we were in a nearby garage for the convention so it didn’t matter. They have indoor & outdoor seating. No music that we noticed so its easy to have a group conversation.
The food was incredible!. The menu has variety options to choose, we ordered a lot of food in the menu and it taste was delicious all of them. The sever was outstanding. We have great experience here, we definitely recommend this place 👍👍👍👍👍
Phenomenal. Was on a walk while in town and stopped here for something to eat and drink after flying all day. The ramen and dumplings and funaguchi hit the spot. Excellent, really. Service was also perfect, never ran out of water and I was THIRSTY. Not a high end environment but it is comfortable and clean and that's what matters to me.
Yummy sushi. My friend recommended I try this place for lunch and I will definitely be back! I ordered a chirashi bowl & it was incredibly fresh. Each piece of fish was well cut & the rice was a perfect counterpart - not too much and not too little. The place was loud but had several tables and individual seating options.
This our first time coming to this sushi joint. It’s always a hit or miss finding a sushi place but man did they hit the bullseye with their food and customer service. We started with a recommendation made from the waiter to try the freshly delivered uni(sea urchin) and when I say you can almost taste the ocean that’s how fresh it was. I always order unagi(freshwater eel) which is my favorite I ever had now. It just melted in your mouth. We continued our course with their wasabi dumplings and mmmm those were to die for. You never can go wrong with ordering a signature roll and I thoroughly enjoyed their yellow dragon roll. The shrimp tempura was cooked to perfection. Then our entrees came which we order the bento box and when I say it was bigger than my face I was shocked. Never have I seen a bento box that big. Overall everything was to perfection and I recommend then to anyone who wants to enjoy an authentic Japanese cuisine.
I saw Sushi AOI on my last DC trip and wanted to check it out. The Japanese Curry was delicious! Paired with the Katsu this was very filling, I couldn’t finish it all. I do want to come back and try the Miso Ramen 🍜next!
I am only writing this review to say the sushi was incredible. I came here for the first time with my friend visiting DC. We heard nothing but good things about the food at this place. Sushi was very good I love their fish. Probably THE best sushi place in MD, DC, VA area that said. This was an excellent experience. The fish and preparation were perfect. Even the rice was extraordinary. Real, fresh wasabi and a very good sake selection.
Amazing experiences all around DC , Good foods, the price is affoardable, excellent services and so glad to be here.
