Ellipse Rooftop Bar - Washington DC - Photo album

Come for the drinks, and stay for the VIEW! Our bartender was very polite and made every drink we ordered from memory, not pre-mixed junk. I highly recommend this location even if you're not staying in their hotel. The view is phenomenal.
This rooftop bar inside of the Hyatt is simple. It's not anything spectacular but it's a great option if you're in the hotel. My husband and I only ordered drinks here, not food. The hours are very limited so it is not able to be accessed much. It was closed 2/3 days we were in town.
Very nice venue. Food is not too expensive. Great for a small gathering. ๐Ÿน๐Ÿท๐Ÿธ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒญ๐Ÿ—
Ellipse was a nice vibe for an intimate group. The food and drinks were pretty good and were priced well. We got a basket of fries and loaded nachos which they give us pretty big portions of. The views werenโ€™t spectacular but there was plenty of seating to bring your closest a friends.
A perfect place for an after work drink to watch the sunset and soak up nice weather. Great for group events too! I hosted a team happy hour with 20-30 and had a great experience. Great food (and prices!) on the catering menu and Brittany did a fantastic job coordinating the event.
(Update 2022 June) Arrive early if you want a seat. Conveniently located to McPherson Square. There is a happy hour. However due to its relatively small footprint and its connection to the hotel it is often reserved and unavailable. Recommend calling ahead to verify it is open. It is a refreshing
Nice rooftop with a bit of a view, the atmosphere was very relaxed, just wish they were open to the public more as we saw multiple days where they were closed for private events.
The bartender on staff right now is very nice and personable, I would 100% come back. We got a Buzz on Cap Hill based on her recommendation, and it is SO PRETTY.
Really nice view, good service
The customer service was amazing. The bartender jasmine made my rooftop bar experience 10X better with her amazing Washingtonians and excellent food recommendations. I advise everyone whoโ€™s looking for a nice rooftop bar in dc please check this one out for sure
Weather was perfect while we stayed, both bartenders were attentive, great views
Absolutely stunning views, not crowded, delicious drinks, and make sure you ask for Doug as your server for the best service experience to compliment your sunset cocktail perfectly! Will definitely be coming back!!
Cool little spot. Was full, but not crowded. I believe they allow the public (it's stop the Hyatt), but I think they limit the public so hotel guests can utilize it. Views were good, but nothing really dramatic. Watch out for the low deep lounger in the corner, it kinda sucked comfort wise. Food
I enjoyed myself. The bartender was amazing. My drinks was good beginning to end.
Nice place to unwind. Great space not too big, not too small.
Happy hour was good here. The drinks and crab dip were good ($8/each). The view is north facing so you don't see the monuments/white house. It was crowded and seating was limited. Managed to snag 2 empty chairs at a shared table but the sun was hitting us. Got better a little later when a breeze pic
