Tynan Coffee And Tea - Washington DC - Photo album

We stopped in for breakfast before shopping and how scrumptious! My husband ordered the smokehouse sandwich and WOW. The jalapeño cheddar bread was incredible. The whole sandwich was stellar. I ordered the classic egg and cheese sandwich which stood up to its name- nothing special but good. However
If you are looking to support a local coffee shop and stop giving your money to conglomerates like Starbucks, this is the place! Besides the great tasting coffee, food, and various options, the staff really brings you back! The owner is always present, very kind, and takes care of his people which r
Surprised that the aggregate rating for this place isn't 5 star. I came here about 5-10 times and each time was incredibly happy with my coffee and sandwich. Very authentic and reasonable priced. I also liked that the coffee was great in terms of caffeine but didn't make me anxious as other coffee s
Good Farmhouse sandwich. Decent Lox bagel. Ambiance is nice inside though it is a bit warm in the interior, which makes it a little uncomfortable. Good place overall.
My first time here. Having my dog groomed at PetCo directly across the street. These folks are throwin’ down up in here! Good coffee, great food, and friendly service! A great place to hunker down for a few hours.
Love this place!! Conveniently located, good coffee, and really nice atmosphere. (Just wish it was open longer - ideally til 5 or even into the evening if possible.)
I come here fairly often and the staff is always so pleasant. There's a good variety of drinks offered and every food item I have tried is delicious! Highly recommend!
When I move into a neighborhood, I really try to become a part of the community. My favorite thing to do is find coffee shops to try out and meet the staff. Before I moved to Columbia Heights, I visited a bunch of coffee shops. Tynan is by far my favorite coffee shop in DC (and honestly, ever!), an
Such a great stop on my way to brunch. Conveniently located just outside the West exit of Columbia Heights metro. Healthy options including beetroot latte!
Made a quick stop into Tynan during our trip to DC pre-pandemic. Nothing too memorable, but I do recall it being really close to the bus stop, which made it super convenient, since we were strictly traveling by free public transport at the time. Husband had that delicious looking waffle, egg, and ch
Creative coffee and baked good selection, vegan options, reasonably quiet atmosphere. I’ve been there twice and everything is good, service is friendly and efficient. The only thing keeping them from being five stars is the torn upholstery. Otherwise a great place!
It's a fine coffee shop, not my favorite but nothing wrong with it
Best latte in DC, hands down. They actually understand that brewing certain coffees at particular temperatures makes a difference. Also great tea selection. I'd go every morning if I could.
They have a lot of interesting drinks to try out if you're feeling adventurous, but even if you're down for the standard vibe this place does it well despite being in a somewhat hectic location. Their sandwiches are top tier great, but most people looking for good food come here for their waffles.
It's exactly what you need if you look ok for a laid back place with decent coffee and great breakfast options. Recommended!
