I loved everything about this restaurant. I ordered jerk chicken, ox tails, and king fish. They also had Jamaican black cake. Taste like a chocolate fruit cake! Great food!
The food was fresh. We got a: •Small oxtail plate w/rice & peas/Mac/cabbage: Decent serving size for the price. The meat was slightly sweet, the oxtail gravy was a perfect match for the perfectly cooked rice and peas. The make is kind of a mash up between Caribbean mac pie and American baked Mac. T
Must get the brown stew chicken, Jamaican black cake and sour berry juice!!! So so good, the Jamaican cake is like no other cake, so special flavor with rum. Brown stew also so good! We came back 3 times in 2 days after we visited it the first time! Must try
This place has amazing food. The oxtail was delicious. The Pinapple Ginger drink was amazing. The place has a constant flow of people in and out of here. Great food.
My favorite place to get Jamaican Food. I drove an hour from northern VA 1-2 times a month. The service is great and it’s fast no matter how busy they are. The jerk wings are my favorite!
Food was delicious, very fresh. The jerk chicken was smoked to perfection, and there wasn't a lot of sauce smothering the taste of the marinated meat. Next time back in DC, this is my Jamaican spot. The curry goat was a little boney, but not complaining, and it did have some meaty pieces it was stil
I been eating here for years. I make a 30 minute plus commute for them . Food always taste the same, flavorful, tender and not dry. This the only carribean spot I will eat at I don’t care what other people recommend. People complaining about the food being more rice but other cultures do the same th
Wow. I was pleasantly surprised by this spot on North Capitol. I got the medium jerk chicken w/ rice & peas and cabbage. Packed with flavor, the dark meat was juicy and the gravy took it to the next level. I was incredibly impressed with the balance of heat. Not all that spicy but just enough to get
We just moved from Brooklyn where we eat Caribbean food all the time. This food was the best West Indian food I had since moving. I wish they gave more food for the price. Overall it was well seasoned and good. They should add soup to the menu. Would love some breadfruit too! Ackee and salt fish
I've come to this place multiple times to know that they're good, but I always forget to review them. They're a good Jamaican restaurant that serves good curry and Jerk Chicken and other good foods. My personal favorite is their Jerk Chicken platter with dark meat, rice and beans, and cabbage. ***Th
Oxtail with the rice and peas was amazing. Plus I had the jerk chicken wings Everything was fresh and amazing tasted phenomenal. Do not sleep on this Jamaican spot. This place is definitely worth a try.
So I didn't take pictures because my food looked and smelled so amazing I just wanted to devour it. On 3/25/22 I ordered a large curry goat extra rice and peas and extra gravy. My food tasted amazing and I want some more now! The problem is I didn't have any meat well let me not say any it could hav
I use to go here before the upgrage to a restaurant years ago. The food was better then. I got the combo platter for $26. There was more rice than anything. Definitely need gravy on top. The curry goat was okay, not enough, the oxtail were good. For almost $30, the portion should have been more.
