Crown Bakery - Washington DC - Photo album

First time visiting and I'll definitely go back! While waiting for my food order, I loved being able to serve myself fish broth. It was also nice to meet Ambassador Phillips-Spencer and his beautiful wife😊 Overall it was a warm and welcoming environment. No evidence of the broth ...I ate it all😊
Jennifer is a kind, kind, soul for giving me advice on classic Trini food to order to feed 10 people and then fixing it for me right then and there. I should have ordered in advance, but went in because I had questions. We decided on doubles, peas and rice, brown stew chicken, and jerk chicken (for
Very clean and courteous atmosphere. Food and baked goods were full of flavor, and local pastries were fresh and tasty.
Fantastic Caribbean food....Amazing,light roti skins. Great Coconut bread, so very tasty currants rolls and Coconut rolls. Also great doubles.
Me and My Ex used to come here together, the food and service is always great. They even fixed us a private branch one Sunday when we were visiting from out of town.
Crown Bakery not only bakes delicious Trinidadian pastries but serves hot lunch or dinner from its hot table. The Caribbean Cuisine at this family owned restaurant is delicious. I I attended a meeting there. We had Buffet style Trinidad and Tobago dishes of Mango Salad, Rice and Peas, Coconut Rice,
A solid Trinidadian eating experience! We ordered 2 doubles, 5 currant rolls, 1 veggie roti, two buss up shut with veggie sides and goat roti = $75. Food was delicious and side sauces were awesome. The only thing we would have done without was the Callaloo which was on the bland side.
The staff are always beautiful but you may have to wait and you're not sure why. Maybe an island thing? Lol I visit often for various items. Doubles only on weekends.
The baked goods here are sooo yummy. Currants rolls, coconut rolls, cassava pine freshly baked bread - just delightful and remind you of homemade offerings.
I could tell the lady assumed I was new there, which I kinda was cuz I hadn't been in town in years... But she loaded my plate with yumminess. The fish patty was good and the tamarind sauce has a unique kick (I believe they added ginger or sumn). Thanks for your great customer service. I'll be bac
Great place to get good trini food.

I've always known of Crown but I defaulted to another Trini restaurant as it is closer to me. Well I went to this restaurant one day and was fed up. Why am I paying these high prices for slow unfriendly service in an establishment that doesn't even look clean and hasn't been updated in 20years or mo
Needed a Caribbean Black Rum cake to serve when discussing the Book, Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. This cake was a lovely surprise, not too dense and full of flavor. The ordering experience was lovey as well. Ordered some food to go with the cake and it was all packed with great care. Man
Great place to get your Island goodies, food , pastries and good company. Friendly people.
So I drop my mom off next door at the hair salon and I’m walking back to my car, when I see this young fellow eating some curry chicken in the window. I look up and decide to stop in just to see what they had to eat. Didn’t seem like much food was displayed. But the presentation was well presented.
The best Caribbean food in the DMV area. I can't add photos since I ate it all.
I've finally found the BEST Caribbean food on Georgia Ave. After I tried all the others...I WON'T NAME....this place hands down,is the BOMB. The service is impeccable and the food quality is amazing! This is my go-to place from now on. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed 😊
