The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a great place to come drink, dance and socialize. You will receive excellent customer service from everyone and the bar staff is on point. I would definitely not only come back but recommend this place. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!!

I've lived in DC for four years, and Midlands is my favorite bar here. Beer garden style. Great local beer options. Pool. Darts. Fantastic barbecue. Picnic tables for big groups. Awesome staff. Tolerant, open atmosphere. This place is perfect to come to for a day-beer, a sports game, or a night out. The all-purpose community-feel bar/beer garden.

Hands down love this place! Not you typical D.C. Bar. Cool people, good conversation, cheap drinks where everyone feels welcome!

One of my favorite bars in the city! I love me some 34 oz. pours of PBR! Far too often bars and beer gardens across the city have a knack for making me feel claustrophobic with narrow spaces and people stuck elbow to elbow or 6 deep at the bar. NOT THE CASE at The Midlands. A friendly inviting space with an amazing layout, friendly decor, and a staff that legitimately cares about the customers and the neighborhood. Well done and Iook forward to many a PBR Stein under the shadow of the the queen bee!

This was my second time here. Bartenders are friendly and polite. I dig the atmosphere. They open late in the afternoon and have a large outdoor space with heaters, couches, tables and a smoking section as well as outlets, which was perfect for me on my laptop for a few hours. The nacho portion was larger than I expected which was awesome! With a perfect amount of toppings spread on- they did not skimp. Bathrooms are clean and I felt super comfortable hanging alone for several hours. Not sure if there is better parking near by but I took my chances parallel parking by Hook Hall.

Wonderful place to have drinks. The food is great. Order the gyros, chicken nachos. Amazing. Shout out to Angel, Nebs, and the bar crew.

Nice local place to have a beer. There is a yard which makes the place ideal for outside drinking. I didn't like the interior however. Prices $8 dollars for a beer.

📍 @midlands_dc Beer Garden, Washington D.C. 🍻 Located just around the corner from the Airbnb I was staying at. This casual watering hole tucked away off Georgia Ave. turned out to be a hidden gem during my visit. With its wide selection of craft beers, delicious light fare, and picnic tables, it provided the perfect setting for relaxation and good times. What truly made this place special was its inviting outdoor space. The ample outdoor seating allowed me to bask in the beautiful weather while savoring tasty brews. It was a fantastic spot to gather with friends, unwind, and soak up the lively atmosphere of the city. During my time at Midlands, I even had the pleasure of witnessing a thrilling cornhole tournament! The competitive spirit, friendly banter, and cheers of the crowd created an electric energy that added an extra layer of excitement to the evening. #DCadventures #MidlandsBeerGarden #CheersToGoodTimes #MemoriesMade #UntilNextTime #HighlyRecommend

Nifty beer garden. I enjoyed my time here. Decent beer and good selection. Plenty of room inside and outside. I had the chili cheese dogs and they were great. I’d definitely go back again.

Had a great time at a friends birthday. You can reserve a table and bring your own snacks if you wish! The beer was great — they have a large selection to choose from. I also enjoyed the various sizes they had available. I didn’t have any of their food so I can’t speak on that but the beer is great and there are plenty of games to watch and places to sit! Definitely going again!

The outdoor beer garden is an oasis away from the noise of Georgia Ave. With roll-up garage doors, the inside and outside blend together seamlessly. The spot is great for birthdays (adults or kids), watching sports, or just hanging with friends. With a great beer list on tap and in cans, solid cocktails, and frose, the drinks are spot on. The food varies in quality but tends to be on the stronger side (or just bring in Call Your Mother from next door like we did last weekend and down your bagel with a beer).

I really enjoy this space - bartenders are nice, sports are always on, dog friendly, good deals, and spacious inside and outside. Fire pits in the winter! Things can get crowded during busy times but good vibes all around. People love the giant nacho portions.

Delicious rotating menu of beer. I'm an IPA fan but they have a huge range of beers here. Chill vibe. Dogs allowed. Some outdoor furniture needs replacing. Wonderful service. After one visit, Carlton the bartender, knew my name! 💯🙏🏽🍻

Our plane arrived early and the Airbnb wasn’t quite ready so we brought our stuff and chilled here. The smell of the food was amazing! We enjoyed the beer, the atmosphere, the food! A wonderful experience

Service is great. Bartender knew me by name on my second visit after having only one beer my first time there a week earlier. Cute ambiance... Needs a bit of sprucing up here and there, but overall this spot is great to hang out, watch sports, etc.

My two pups and I had a magical time at this patio. The staff were super nice, and the fire pits were cozy. Made us feel very welcome during our first month in DC

This is a fun and cozy place, there’s both outdoor and indoor space to sit and they have bar games like darts. Kids and dogs are welcome. The beer and food are tasty, although there’s a smaller selection of beer than I’d expected from a beer garden. They also don’t have a physical menu so you have to look at screens to see what you want and it’s a bit overpriced.

I’m a big fan of this community beer hall. They have 20+ beers on tap, many of which are local. Barkeepers are friendly, diverse, and don’t make you feel silly for asking questions. Food portions are huge. I love the veggie nachos!

Great indoor/outdoor space. Good selection on draft and all around. Staff was friendly and helpful - actively trying to help people not just waiting for them to approach the bar.

Was fun but nothing spectacular. Good deals and great service. Would give it a 5 if I didn't come on a Saturday night as wasn't annoyed by the lines and football excitement

Great cute beer garden. Me and my friends loved the beer choices and the cider available. Had tvs with no sound to watch the game but mostly it was a great place to socialize. They had an indoor and outdoor space and both were perfect. Outside furniture was really comfy and cozy and you were away enough from people that you did not hear other peoples conversations. Loved that! My friend ordered the buffalo nachos and they were large enough to be split between 3 people very comfortably.

Nice place for hanging out with friends. The patio looks like it'd be very nice in summer. We went in winter, and the indoor was a bit noisy, but not more than the average sports bar. The free pool table is definitely a plus, although drinks are a bit on the expensive side. Food was good, especially the nachos.

Spectacular food. Great vibe. When we pulled up we second-guessed the recommendation we had received — the area looked a little rough with HEAVY traffic. Once inside - even though we were still outside - it was an incredible surprise! The space was great and comfortable. The food was delicious and affordable. And the staff was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Topping it all off was how insanely pet-friendly the place is. We discussed how if we lived in DC we'd be back all the time. 100% recommend check out the Midlands if you're in DC area.
