Ok, Eastern , was my life line during the pandemic feeding my late husband, i was his caregiver. I order at LEAST once a week, the eggrolls are my favorite. I REALLY LOVE!
I can only share my about their delivery service. The food come hot upon arrival and the delivery service is always faster than expected and they're courteous I always tip because of the quality and the quantity is above average.
It's your average Chinese food carryout establishment. The prices are decent... The food is pretty good, always fresh and quickly made. The kitchen is clean from what I can see. They keep the lobby/seating area very clean and sanitized!
Wonton soup was good and the dumplings were softer than expected even though they were fried. Sesame chicken was filling but the kung pao chicken wasn’t too spicy or sauced.
Very happy that they were open late though
I ordered at 12: 49pm. The food was delivered at 1:30pm. Fair enough according to the Slice App delivery time. I ordered 10 wings with fried rice and Wonton soup. I made a few special requests for my rice but I did not expect the availability of certain add-ons. The foods was excellent. Crunchy wing
The food was hot and delicious and delivery was quick (within 40 minutes). Definitely the best American/NY style Chinese food I've had in DC.
Eat here at least once a week.
Food is always hot and cooked to perfection.
My favorite is Singapore Noodles with extra shrimp.
Have not ordered delivery, though, only pickup.
My go to place when hunger strikes. I always order the chicken wings, as they are bomb.
The cashier knows me by now since I order there all the time and my orders have come out perfect every time. They have earned my business and will keep it.
We order here a decent amount- delivery and carry out. People leaving 1 star reviews for french fries and burgers at an chinese restaurant need to chillll. Never have issues with our orders.
I see some bad reviews for Eastern and I don't know why. I used to order here all the time and my food always arrived hot and was more flavorful and less processed than most! Still would be my go-to for cheap Chinese.
Classic hole in the wall, American style Chinese take out. Won't win awards or break your budget. It will likely come in a pretty narrow band of just what you're expecting from the above description.
Fair prices and pretty good for fast food Chinese food. Not as good as the fast Chinese food you can get on the West Coast, but the best place I've come across in DC so far.
This is honestly my favorite Chinese store. There food is pretty tasty.. not greasy and when i'm at work this is the ONLY place I order..
