Aphgan Grill - Washington DC - Photo album

Conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Omni hotel, my wife and I felt like trying Afghan food for the first time. The staff were super kind and accommodating to our ignorance of the food and made recommendations for both of us to share. The taste was absolutely amazing! My wife and I
Authentic and good food! Great quantity and pleasant atmosphere too with music.
Sat down for a late dinner and told the waiter to bring me what he would order... Did not disappoint! Kadu Buranee, Lamb Chops, Firnee... All perfectly paired with hand picked wines and Cardamom Tea. Attentive staff, lovely atmosphere. You need to try this place for a romantic date or quiet evenin
Best Food in Woodley Park. Good prices. Customer service oriented. Fast service.
Portions are nice, price is competitive, and the food is delicious! There is so much flavor and the kabob is not overcooked at all. Everything down to the rice is seasoned and cooked wonderfully. I ordered delivery from them and my only issue was something that actually was the fault of the delivery
What amazing food! Seasoned so well. Beautiful location. We ate there twice. After the first time we knew we could trust the food to be made well and to be tasty. The owner is so nice! I recommend sharing the platter to have a variety of items!! We got it without the meat sauce for my vegetarian fr
Greatly exceeded my expectations. I tried the bread, a Lamb dish, a vegetarian dish, coffee/tea, and dessert. Everything was perfectly seasoned, with some unique flavors that were surprisingly delicious. The entree portion sizes are a bit smaller than average for the price but the quality of the foo
Went for lunch on a workday. Service was quick and we were in and out in less than an hour. Both of us enjoyed our food. My lamb dish came in a flavorful sauce. The rice was perfectly cooked. Bread was provided with spicey dip to eat while waiting for our lunch to be prepared.
Delicious food with vegetarian options. First time having Afghani food and we enjoyed it. Had fried lentil appetizers, eggplant and spinach-based dishes with rice. They had typical brand beers and wine but no cocktails (even though the menu says they have them). Staff friendly and attentive. Decent
Honestly we loved this small hidden restaurant. The manager and servers were amazing, warm, and funny. They were very welcoming to my large, loud, and energetic family and friends 😂 . The food was great, and I am very picky. I have never had Afghan food and am now very open to try something new agai
We love coming here on Friday nights. This restaurant is a perfect balance of very decent prices and absolutely fabulous atmosphere with white tablecloths and fine dining. The owner speaks many languages and always very good about offering a little free be like an appetizer. I like being recognized
This place is pretty bomb. Good service, good food. Kafta kebab was a flavor explosion. I was surprised at how good it was. The rice was crazy good too. Saffron with red sauce. Rice is not normally something people write home about but in this case Afghan grill is killing it! My only regret is not g
You can find the best authentic Afghan food here. The owner was VERY kind, professional, and helpful. Food was really delicious and the service was great. Everything was clean and neat and the sound of music added up to the taste of food and excellent customer service. Thanks for everything!!!! I r
