I have never had a bad experience here. The food is always consistently good. Order whatever number of hot dogs you can eat in one sitting, minus one, and ask for them with everything. They'll come out in moments covered in chili, mustard, and raw onion. Then get the small fry with gravy to take the place of the hot dog you didn't order. I cover both in ketchup and hastily clean the plates. This time it took 12 minutes between ordering and paying for the food. Service is extremely fast and bills are always smaller than expected. This is one place i will definitely miss while i'm at school.
Doesn't Fall Short. First off, you will be disappointed if you willingly go into this establishment thinking that they're going to do things with hot dogs that'll blow your mind! It is a classical, small-town diner with decent hog dogs and good service. Me and my companion got "Two with everything." Order like this, and they'll will know what you're talking about, even though I didn't (it was my first time there). The dogs arrived covered in chili and onions and we devoured them as I looked around at all of the old pictures and memorabilia of yesteryear. We also got fries with gravy for our side. Now, I'm not a huge fan of gravy by any means but in this case, it seems to work. We were in and out in about 20 min and under 20 bucks, which my wallet liked, and I'll probably make a return in the future if I'm ever in their neck of the woods again.
These are simply the best hot dogs we have ever had! Albert's hot dogs with mustard chilli and onions on a steamed bun. The frys with gravy are a must!
Absolutely love this place hotdogs are fantastic and they come out fast as hell so does the french fries and gravy at a very affordable price surrounded by good people with good parking can’t beat it if you’re looking for a small spot with a big appetite and you’re craving some hotdogs

You remember lunch time in grade school? Simply burgers, dogs & fries. With a couple other school house favorites. Good eats if your looking fast and simple. Great place for picnic food

I have been going to Shortys uptown since I was a little girl....Love Shortys!! Great family business and great people. Food is awesome! My cousin Mary, born and raised here in washington, lives in Texas...when she comes home...shortys is one of her first stoos..😊😊
This place is a Washington living legend. I am 66 years old and have loved this food since I can remember. I've enjoyed two with everything, gravy fries and chocolate milk at the downtown, Wolfdale and Washington mall (when the mall was still open) locations. I moved to DFW Texas many years ago but always do Shorty's when I visit. This is the best hotdog in the world bar none!
