Let me start by saying this is a no frills pizza. What I mean is, you can taste the fresh ingredients, from the tomatoes to the cheese. If you like a chain pizza joint.....this is NOTHING like that. It's a true coal fired pizza. I admire the nostalgic oven (it's half of the building) I kinda wish the employees would be dressed in a throwback type of attire. I waited 4 years to eat here (truck driver) I'm glad I did.

Finally stopped here after years of seeing the billboard! It was definitely worth the stop. Our online order was ready when we arrived 5 minutes early. Our cheese pie was gone before we knew it! We will definitely be back for more.

Got the clam pizza. Amazing. Crust is perfectly crisp outside and airy inside. All you smell is the aroma of the clam when it comes to your table.

Pepe’s pizza is definitely top notch pizza in my opinion. This is one of my personal favorite places to go in the Waterbury area for pizza, I love the thin crust new haven style pizza and Pepe’s is one of the originals.

Stored here while charging my car. Last time I was here it was closed and bit was I glad it was open. Among the best coal fire cooked Pizza I've had. Old family place is rightfully proud of their legacy restaurant. The use 10-foot peels to load coal and to remove the pizza. Quick service. Clean facility. Friendly and professional staff.

I am quite a pizza critic and this is maybe the best pie I've ever eaten. They nailed every aspect. Crust thickness, crispness, chewyness. Sauce quantity and flavor. Cheese moisture. Toppings all highest quality home made. And the experience of watching them make it was awesome.

Easy to reach location right off of I 84 with ample parking space. Seating inside is excellent with the booths well separated and good ventilation. As with most eating establishments, the staffing was less than ideal. The waitress was great but had little time for small talk due to her workload. Pepe restaurant only serves pizzas and is not a full menu Italian restaurant which is just fine because they do one thing and they do it super right. Large selection of pies with numerous toppings available. The pizza was excellent and well above your average local pizza parlor. Definitely worth going to. Although the pies are pricey Pepe's is extremely generous with whatever toppings you pick.
