Took my elderly mother in to have a cup of coffee in the afternoon. I was taking you in the wheelchair, only to find out there was no wheelchair access in front of the store. And she walk behind your wheelchair in a young man that works there came all the way out from behind the counter to open the door and help us into the store. His mother raised him right. Thank you young man for being so kind
Had a very pleasant interaction with River today! Thanks for the great service
They listen to allergies and cleaned the blender, made my drink perfectly.
For what it is, this place does the job. Sometimes newer staff is seemingly trained to be stingy and try to upcharge for things that make no sense, but usually half the staff will work with you. For example, I am a gold star member which means free refills on regular coffee, and I bring my own cup; but, often I need to remind them of the cup discount and they might offer to do an Americano instead of a pour-over refill (for decaf,) but then the total will say over $3.00 instead of $0.50 because they usually ring it up as an Americano... I'm only agreeing to Americano for their convenience, not trying to pay for one. When you spend as much money as the typical regular, there's no need to even go here if they are stingy.. It's kind of insulting. So the long-time, laid back staff save the place. Plus they might end up knowing your name which is nice.
There are not many power plugs and only one taller standing-optional table. It could use some more taller tables with power plugs.
I've been going here for almost 25 years, so it's pretty much a Waterford staple in my mind.
