Best sushi in Watertown. Good food. Good service. Sometimes the wait can be long if you go around lunchtime. You can also call in your order prior to dinning in. The have a good selection of sushi rolls. One person can easily eat 2 rolls here. 3 rolls is a good amount for 2 people.

One of the best places to eat in Watertown. Great Hibachi style steakhouse and the best sushi in the area.

Good sushi, but expect to wait. The maki lunch special is awesome, and I love the online order option. I can order my lunch and pick it up to go!
Sushi is really good for Watertown. Try the red dragon and dancing eel rolls, they're my favorites.
Hibachi is okay. The chefs aren't that impressive but the food is generally good. Even with a reservation though, expect to wait. It's almost always crowded especially on weekends, and the bar/waiting area is cramped.

About time!. Watertown has been devoid a sushi place for a long time, and this one really hits its mark.
The place used to be an old Long John Silver's, but you can't tell by looking at it. Both the interior and exterior have been completely renovated, and it looks like they sunk A LOT of cash into it. The inside has a trendy sushi bar feel on one half, and a hibachi grill setup on the other. My wife and I ate at a booth, so this review won't cover the hibachi stuff, someone else will have to cover that.

I want to start off by saying that the service here is ridiculously good. There must have been 20 wait staff working. My glass was never empty, and my empty plates didn't sit for more than 30 seconds. Every time my water was refilled and I took off the wrapper from a fresh straw, someone scooped up the trash in less than 20 seconds each time.

My wife ordered the Naba Yaki Udon and a Philadelphia roll. The udon had, as is standard, noodles, broth, crab, chicken, and an egg. It was also served with two tempura shrimp. She said the shrimp was great, but the udon broth was a bit bland. A waitress brought her some sriracha, and she enjoyed it. The philly roll was good too, but had just a bit to much cream cheese.

I had the sushi deluxe plate. Had all the standard fare, salmon, yellowtail, egg, giant clam, and a few other nigiri, served with a cali roll. It started off with the standard salad and miso. The fish tasted mild and fresh, without the fishy flavor that comes from old fish at crappy sushi houses. I also had a spicy tuna crunch roll, again with good fish and just the right amount of crunch.

All in all, it was a good experience. The wait staff was a plenty and friendly, the fish tasted fresh, and the non-sushi items were good as well. Now, if we can just get some decent Vietnamese in Watertown, we'll be all set!

Overall, we were really pleased with the food and atmosphere at 1025 Ruyi. Dad’s initial weigh-in was a 9.5 on the BHS scale, although I’m backing off from that a bit. I think there’s a little refining that needs to happen here before high points can be awarded. A really nice touch that a lot of Japanese restaurants offer is hot finger towels when you first are seated – that would be a welcome addition. Another positive add would be complimentary green tea at the end of the meal, either or both of these would elevate the experience, and add to the overall feel. Again, when you weigh the price of the entrees, little perks like fancy chopsticks, hot towels and green tea – in addition to great food – make for an exceptional evening. If 1025 Ruyi added any of these, I think they could be considered up in the 9 range. As is, I’m giving them a 7.5. I will be back in the coming months for sushi and traditional Japanese fare, and I’ll let you know how the experience goes. In the meantime, I re

Stopped in on Father's Day expecting a long wait but we were seated quickly, and served quickly. Our hibachi chef was amazing and very friendly. Our 6 yr old loved her experience and had a blast catching vegetables in her mouth. The food was delicious, fillet mignon, lobster, and scallops cooked beautifully.

Hands down the best restaurant I've been to with my family since we got to Watertown. Probably one of the only restaurants worth visiting again. Service and seating were prompt. Our food was delicious and well-seasoned, and our chef was engaging and friendly. 10/10 will be back! Absolutely no complaints.

I went back to Ruyi after our mishap this past weekend. I stand corrected. The Manager was genuinely apologetic for the mistake, taking full responsibility. This time I ate on the premises. The service was and always is Excellent! The sushi was very, very good. Very good. Compliments to Ruyi for making things Oshi!
