Great food, loved the California Burrito here - steak fries and guacamole, can't beat that. Tacos are delicious also. Clean restaurant and friendly owners.
Love this place! Awesome food, with some really interesting additions to your standard Mexican fare (including guilotas!). The coffee was well balanced - just the right amount of cinnamon! Their consomé de camarón was AMAZING - it's a definite must try. Portions were huge and service was great. The seating area is a little outdated, but I think it adds to the charm of the place. Definitely a diamond in the rough.
Just consistently good. Very large portions and everything is seasoned very nicely. This is one of my go to places for comfort food in the area and I have never been disappointed. As you can see from my pictures I won't be eating dinner tonight. Thanks again and keep up the good work I will see you soon.
This place is a gem! The quality of service by Vic and his staff is amazing. Hands down the best tacos in Lake County, IL! I recommend the pastor tacos with piña and a Topo Chico, you won’t be disappointed!

Fast service and amazing authentic food. I took it all the way back to Kenosha and it was still hot and delicious.
Really happy with our work lunch catering order! Delivery was right on time, the trays were hot and ready to go. The word spread, more people showed up, and then came back for 2nds. Everyone said all the food was delicious especially the guacamole, they scraped the tray clean! We will use this place again!
What great food. A whole different dialect of Mexican! Tacos were so juicy and crispy at the same time. The red and green sauce is fire! No, really... the perfect amount of hotness. Strawberry 🍓 and vanilla filled chiros for dessert and they we also pretty amazing. I eat tacos every chance I get, and this totally random stop was a pleasant siprise. Chowd down lakeside and enjoying every bite! The girl who took our order was super nice. I will definitely go back the next time I head up to the docks!

Why do some businesses feel the need to add Video gaming and Slots? They were in the main dining area but now have moved to a out of sight room - thanks I don't need to see habitual gamblers spending rent money while I eat a taco!
Traveling here from Texas to see our son graduate from Navy boot camp and found this place by searching Mexican food and found this wonderful place. Service was exceptional. Food was outstanding and more than enough for anyone's hungering appetite. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone
The food was delicious and the cashier was super nice. The tacos de cecina were cooked to perfection and the salsa added a burst of flavor. Complimentary chips were also good. Very attentive staff and happy environment
Great assortment of Mexican dishes, with well balanced flavors and multiple options. Tacos are served with a choice of fillings. Good seafood dishes. Service is very good and helpful. There are so many Mexican restaurants in Waukegan that it is difficult to rise above the lot. Taqueria Toluca doesn't try to outdo anyone, it just does it's simple dishes well.
This is the only restaurant I would go to for my tortas rice water and tacos. Service is always great and the food is good.
I eat here about once a week :) and I'm always satisfied. From the tacos to the sea food, every thing is so delishhhhh!!!! Everyone needs to try some good authentic Mexican food! This is definitely the place to go! Also, I love the fact that they cater and deliver to businesses. I've had a couple of family parties and they do all my catering. It's so convenient (Bistec ala Mexicana Is my fav) Service is always good. FOOD IS EXCELLENT!
Taqueria Toluca is by far the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to! I’ve catered from them numerous times. The food is so good that I’ve been requested to bring their tacos as far north as Milwaukee, WI and as south as Oak Lawn, IL. Some of my favorites are the al pastor tacos con piña, arrachera tacos, and caldo de res. But my #1 choice is the breakfast burrito (off the menu). And don’t forget to ask for the green sauce, but if you’re not a fan of spicy, beware 🌶 Highly recommend their food!
