It's hard to find good Hawaiian food in the mid west, but this place has it. It's a small family run place that offers up large portions of really good Hawaiian food to go. If you've never been there before start with their Kalua Pig and Char Siu Chicken combo plate and bring a friend to help you eat it all.

Ono Kine Grindz catered our wedding, and they exceeded our expectations in every way! Their staff has true Hawaiian "aloha" service and made our guests' experience so special. Every single person raved about the food! My husband and I moved to Wauwatosa from Honolulu, so we wanted to provide the most authentic Hawaiian cuisine we could find, and Ono Kine Grindz was just like being back on Oahu. We opted for a buffet line, and their team did an excellent job with set up and provided great service throughout the meal by helping explain the items to our guests and keeping the food replenished. Our menu included Teriyaki Sesame Chicken, Kalua Pig, Veggie Stir Fry wit Tofu, Purple Sticky Rice, Savory Macaroni Salad, and Lihing Carrot - Pineapple Slaw, plus several other items. Everyone loved everything! Guy and David - the owners - are a dream come true to work with. After my initial email request, they set up a tasting right away for a day that worked with my schedule and really took time to thoughtfully plan the menu with me and my husband. Every step of the way during the wedding planning process they were there with their ideas and support, and were quick to reply to any questions I emailed them. They took all the stress out of planning a meal for 180 people and just allowed me (and my family) to have fun and truly enjoy our special day. We love going to the restaurant/shop, too! We are a vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free couple, and there are wonderful options for us. They also have excellent tropical desserts that come in gluten free and dairy free versions, as well.

I LOVE ONO KINE GRINDZ!! Guy and David are both amazing owners/cooks and their food is as delicious as the name suggests. After visiting Hawai’i this past year, I can honestly say that OKG’s Kailua pig is as authentic as it is on the island and actually I found it to be tastier! Their poke is amazing as well. You get so much food for such a great price. AND when you step into the store, you feel like you are not in Milwaukee. The warmth of the staff and the store always makes me smile. Lastly, my wife and I had OKG cater our wedding. I highly recommend them!! Their food was a hit! I wish I could give OKG 6 stars!

This is the real stuff, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I've never eaten anything else there because they have such a reasonable price for an entire pound of delicious, fresh, no fillers, poke. Well worth the drive every time!

This hidden gem on North Ave. in Wauwatosa is Amazing! I picked up some food from there for a Hawaiian party at my place last weekend, and the guests were raving about how delicious it was! Thank you, Ono Kine Grindz!

Everything on the menu looked and sounded excellent. We had garlic shrimp and poke. Both were wonderful. The staff was friendly and fun. My only complaint...it was pretty warm inside. But, I guess it felt like Hawaii!

We had a delicious little dinner party at OKG last night. This is our "go-to" take out spot, but what fun to dine in the cozy "hut" and enjoy our favorites Char Sui Chicken and Garlic Shrimp, as well as fresh Poke, pot stickers and the special Mahi Mahi. Wonderful food and the friendliest service.

So good!! I’m okay with making the trip out there because the food is worth the drive. The fact that I’m addicted to the “crack” tea doesn’t hurt the cause either. Still wouldn’t be sad if there was a location in Waukesha.

This place offers a nice piece of Hawaiian food and culture. Their food has been extremely good both times we've gone here to eat. The crispy pork belly was so good! I love that they have macadamia nuts and chocolate covered macadamia nuts as well!

Went here last Thursday with friends. As usual, the food was utterly delicious. The kalua corned beef is a particular treat, and was utterly massive! The waitstaff were the other highest point in a dinner filled with high points. They were kind, attentive, and just made the whole experience shine. I cannot say enough good of this place. It deserves so much more praise!

I've been coming to this place for multiple years now and the quality and taste of the food has always been fantastic. The carrot and pineapple slaw is amazing. Every dish is in and of itself a delicacy. Every choice on their menu is the right choice. If you are coming out of town this place is a place you must visit.

Best place I’ve ever tried hands down! Me and my sister would have a hard time finding places to eat. It was our first time trying this place and it was so good. The bulgogi beef and side were seasoned perfectly. Definitely a place to try Hawaiian food if you’ve never had it before.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a restaurant review before but I just had to share how good everything was. I ordered takeout not even an hour ago and in that time I already picked it up, drove home, and finished my whole meal it was so yummy. I got the tuna poke bento box and loved every bit of it. The fish was tender and marinated well. Plus all the people in the shop were so nice! I can’t wait to get this again, and I’m already looking forward to eating the spam musubi tomorrow 😋

Went in hungry, came out with a happy belly. The set up is worth the visit. You can eat there or take out. So quaint. The two of us sat at the large family table next to an open window. The musubi was great 👍🏽. *Found some great gluten-free products to make at home.

Omg this place is awesome. We make the 3.5 hour drive from Michigan at least once a month. When living so far away from home (Hawaii) it's awesome to find a place like this. They even made poi for me to eat with my poke and laulau plate.... Also we did stock up on some of the frozen items they sell because husband won't drive me out here when it starts snowing. Roads get too dangerous..
