We came late on a Friday (1115p)... we called ahead to make sure we e could order food as they were closing at midnight. The service was impeccable. The food was awesome. The other patrons were delightful. This was my first time here ... we live less than 8 min away and this will be a go to. Great for sports. Great for beer. Great for food. Egg rolls, pork flatbread and chicken pot pie pictured. All the leftovers.

Like being dropped into a mountain village in Bavaria. This restaurant is worthy of five stars. The authentic German cuisine rival some of the dishes my Grossmutter use to make for me as a child: Rouladen, Red Cabbage, Sauerkraut, and of course potato pancakes/mit applesauce. The chef knows his art.
Try the sausage platter that is accompanied with red cabbage and a very tasty potato side. Want something not German then try the Poutine. Great authentic German atmosphere inside and a pleasant outside veranda to people watch. I have been there several times! Hope to see you there to hoist a beer and of course a toast ...Ein Prosit!!!!

Absolutely incredible! One of the best meals I've ever had in Milwaukee. I'm so bummed it's closing in January and this was my first visit. I'll be back a few times before it is gone.

Fantastic Bananas Foster bread pudding! Giant pretzels with strong mustard, and very flavorful German entrees! Our favorite German restaurant in a town of German restaurants 👍

If you don't like spicy things, be careful with the brat. The relish has got a kick.
I gave it 4 stars because the first night we went the service & the food was fantastic. The second night we went it seemed like the waitress had better things to do & the brat was on fire.

The good and the bad:
Love the area that Cafe Bavaria is located; great outdoor seating and people watching.
They have a nice selection is food and beers. We ordered a maple bacon appetizer - very savory with a hint of sweet & spice!
Beware: this is served in a metal tin and if not wrapped right, you will be eating rust 😑

Great restaurant. They have a new menu and I spent so much time just figuring out what I wanted because everything looked really great. Food was excellent. I cannot wait to go back.
