A little disappointed that no one mentioned that my insurance was not accepted. I know that this is my responsibility to look into before going, however I’ve never had anywhere not warn me that it will be out of pocket. Had a regular check up, I am a healthy 31 year old. No labs. Basically weight, blood pressure, and stethoscope heart/lung check. At the visit I was charged a $10 copay. Then I received a $345 bill in the mail. Just would have been nice to know the cost / insurance wasn’t accepted before making me think it was by charging me a copay and then a surprise in the mail!

Called to see if I could stop in and have someone look at my shoulder. I’m in a lot of pain but not an ambulance rides worth. The receptionist was immediately rude and started making a number of excuses. “We don’t have any doctors on staff” “we only have an X-ray machine”. She then recommended I go to an emergency room, well because it’s not her money. Please find a place were people want to help you. don’t bother with Ascension Mayfair, this clinic is a joke.

I had a breast biopsy where I complained of pain, and my pain was ignored! The radiologist gave me a shot of anesthesia and immediately stuck a probe in my breast without giving the anesthesia time to work!
An RN, Angelique Cruz, was in the room and she asked me if I was sure I was feeling pain or just pressure. I stated I was in pain and if the area had been numbed, then why was I still feeling pain??? The radiologist, Dr. Chinar Lath, continued with the probing and just kept saying she was almost done as I writhed and gasped in pain! What else can you do when you are on an operating table and a sharp probe is inserted in your breast?
Dr. Lath, then had the nerve to put this false statement in my chart! "The patient tolerated the procedure well without immediate complications and was discharged home in good condition." NO! I was discharged in severe pain and was crying as a mammogram was done afterwards! I was furious then as I am now whenever I think about it!
I filed a formal complaint via an email and online via my Ascension chart. The manager of medical imaging replied and apologized if I felt my pain was not dealt with properly and that I was not being heard. This is exactly why some Black people as well as some women, do not trust some healthcare providers!
Needless to say, I will not EVER visit this facility again for a biopsy! And...Ascension likes to sends out surveys, but they NEVER follow up.

Internet says the lab is open until 630. I called at 507 and was told if I’m
Here by 6 they will take me and they don’t take appts. Show up at 559 and they tell me the lab is closed. I drove all the way here and found a sitter for my kids only to be told to come back tomorrow at 730. Some
People work!
Update- I had a family member call here and they wanted to know what time they were coming. Apparently this place can’t get their story straight.

Went to this urgent care was seen within minutes. I had an earache and doctor said I was fine I just had fluid in middle ear he seem like he was just in a rush when asking questions about my concerns. I asked if I could get anything prescribed he said no. 3 days later & still have clear fluid with light blood just coming out of my ear and some yellow. This is just not normal and I don't know how this was not an infection enough for him! Disappointed! It's so uncomfortable and painful.

I have tried to schedule an appointment with my doc in the pain clinic, who I have seen before. The scheduler was very rude. I tried to call back with a time that would fit my schedule, later that day. I got a recording stating response time may be slow due to Covid. I called again for 3 days running, left all of my info on the recording. I never got a return call. Then I got then # of the supervisor, Alisha Rachel to try to call her and air my frustrations and hopefully get an appointment. Again got VM and left a message and requested a return call. It's Friday now, and I have been calling (several times a day) since Tuesday. I am so frustrated and will surely tell my doctor about this when I am able to see him. I will ask him for a referral out of the Ascension system because of the difficulty just trying to get on his schedule. I hope to never use the Ascension system EVER again. It's shameful.

I have just had two terrible telephone conversations. The first was with a person named Lucy. My appointment was cancelled and I was asked to reschedule. When I called I was told that Ascension had called me"several times". Well only once to be accurate. The person made me fell like it was my fault that my appointment was cancelled. Never once was there a please, thank you, or how are you. I am the patient.
I immediately call the doctor's office and try to talk to the doctor's nurse. Again, a very difficult person(Crystal) puts me through the third degree. When I told her that I was a patient, that should be enough. No, again no thank you, kindness or good manners. My doctor is very good (Mann) and it is too bad the staff is so unkind
