Great tasting, homestyle food, decent choices. We had fish n chips, all very good, and a taco salad with homemade salsa, also good. A simple down home cafe & bar where locals gather, friendly staff. Recommended!
Love the staff and the food. Still after living up here for 40yrs. Its at the top of our choice when going for bfast or dinner/drinks!

What a gem. Stopped here on accident on our way out of summer skiing at Timberline, when nothing else was open for breakfast. We were there right as they opened, and thank goodness because the place filled up so fast! The atmosphere is your typical older tavern style, a little dark and dated, which only adds to the charm. The food was fantastic, quick service, and our server was hilarious and off-the cuff. Coffee was a little weak but otherwise was a great experience and we will definitely be back.
Great place. Friendly staff. I live an hour away and still go for breakfast at least 3 or 4 times a month. Prime rib with breakfast or dinner is always a killer good deal
Stopped on way home for a bite and beverage at old familiar spot on Mt. Hood. They now have back yard converted to beer garden, so we could enjoy the sunny warm day. Bartender served the whole place which kept him busy but he was up to the task. Ruben hit the spot. good selection of beer. Margarita was good. Only place I know anymore where you can enjoy a cigar after a meal without going to the parking lot. I recommend this place as a good friendly food and beverage spot on the mountain

I had a fabulous Prime Rib dinner on Saturday night that I enjoyed so much that I came back on Sunday morning for breakfast and a Bloody Mary. I was not disappointed! 😋

Fantastic service. The two wait staff who helped us we're very friendly and kind. They had fun stories and talked with our kids and good reasons to try the local beers vs larger brands. The food was good bar fare, nothing fancy but good, large portions.
I would give the bacon cheeseburger a nine out of ten. They give you lots of bacon that was a little cold like it had been cooked earlier then thrown on.

Great place! The bartender and waitress were super friendly. Had a really good time. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to eat anything as my friend was anxious to get to the next stop. Definitely will go back!

We met with our friend that was up from Southern Oregon at Whistle Stop. She moved from Government Camp about 5 years ago and came back for a visit. Whistle Stop had excellent onion rings and burgers. The service was excellent and the cocktails were really really good. I highly recommend this little restaurant/bar.
Great Atmosphere, everything was clean. The staff was super friendly. I had a burger with sweet potato fries. Both were cooked to perfection. The burger toppings were fresh and the beef was super lean. I will most definitely be back. I'm anxious to try their breakfast!
