Small but beautiful space with cozy, romantic atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or couples night out. Six of us went for a New Years Eve dinner and were impressed by how only two staff members were able to handle pretty much everything. (Special shout out to our girl Hanna who took care of us and made an excellent dirty martini!) The Clam Chowder had a hint of spice after each bite, which I enjoyed but my husband wasn't sure about. The Alaskan Red King Crab Legs (1 lb) came out to be about 2 legs, and were a tad overcooked, which was disappointing at $80/plate. While the steaks were all good, the Bernais sauce had too much lemon. The consistency was not thick and creamy. Everything else we had was very delicious however, and we would definitely go back. The Grilled Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes (skins on) were very good as sides, and the Seabass was flavorful and flaky.
If you have yet to attend this restaurant; you're in for a pleasant treat upon your first visit. My wife and I got together with several friends and had a dinner reservation for 5 people. We were imediately greeted by a lovely hostess and promptly shown to our seats where the place settings were neatly laid out. Our waitress who was very sweet and well mannered presented us with menus, warm fluffy bread, and poured each of us ice water from a glass decanter. For those of you who enjoy a drink, there are a plethora of wines and imported beers, as well as a very elegantly laid out bar with several charismatic barkeepers that have been great conversation during our visits. While taking our order the waitstaff kindly answered questions regarding the menu. We ordered the prushetta as an app, the chicken, salmon, and the dry-aged bone-in ribeye. We were presented with the main dishes after finishing the pruchetta. Each dish was plated beautifully. After dinner Wes Krimmer the chef and owner of the establishment walked out to the dining room in a clean white coat, stopping at our table for a very pleasent conversation. He took the time to give us a tour of the project under way being a wine room, a larger dining ares, and a large outdoor patio where we learned that Mr. Krimmer is not only the man preparing food but also the one responsable for the renovations you see in his establishment. Krimmers has been an exceptional addition to Down Town West Bend.
Hannah worked her tail off tonight and despite being the only server, was calm.and polite and attentive. Food was delish. Medallions melted in my mouth. Scallops & couscous tender and flavorful.
The steaks are excellent, the sides and appetizers are mouthwatering. The apps are perfectly cooked to your desire if you ask then to make small changes.
The cooks are very catering to your requests yet do not skimp on their professional and mouthwatering talent they can do with your food.
I am normally not a fan of mushrooms at all, yet when I had them here they melt in your mouth and are not pungent like at most restaurants.
Nothing I have tried here was a disappointment at all.
If I had to pick one thing that I found a little disappointing it would be the drinks. Between my friend and myself our drinks were served in two different sizes of glasses for the same drink. Felt a little off but the food was the main attraction and since that was not at all upsetting I would not complain really about it.
I would recommend anyone that wants a great steak made how you would like it (even black and blue) they would accommodate.
