I was here last week and needed to post a review given how many times I have eaten here and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been to G George’s more times than I can count and each time I walk away having had a fantastic experience. It’s a family friendly restaurant that is well run by the family that owns it and has provided me top notch service every time. Their Greek options (best gyro I can get on the west side) and large salads are great for lunch and dinner, but G George’s really shines when it comes to their breakfast items and their Sunday breakfast brunch. Their eggs are always cooked to your exact order; corned beef hash and other classic breakfast items are great; and if you’re feeling exotic they offer hard-to-find menu options like a variety of really tasty eggs benedict items, a ton of stuffed waffles and French toast flavors, and are always more than willing to accommodate customized orders.
Whenever I am working on the west side, this is my go-to place for my lunch hour. Extremely close to Northwestern and the business district, their dine-in and carry out services cannot be beat. Everything is simple to order, comes out very quick during a condensed lunch hour, is freshly made, and the portions are substantial at a great price point. Every time I go, G George’s consistently blows any casual chain restaurant and most other family restaurants out of the water. Everything is priced well, servers are extremely attentive, you can’t ask for more.
It was our first time at the restaurant the food was delicious and the prices were great it was my sons birthday, he feel so special and if we knew about the Sunday brunch table we would have got that it looked beautiful with all the tables of food and fruit 🍉 when you go plan on eating everything thanks
We enjoyed the hospitality and Sunday brunch buffet selections, especially the crepes and omelette stations and hand carved meats.
Breakfast was very good, loved the coffee. Prices are very reasonable. We will need to try the breakfast buffet next time.
You guys ROCK!!! Thank you for the smiles all these years Teresa. :-) I've been a customer since 2001! Love this place, NEVER EVER Have to complain. They are great! Great food, Great service.
Wonderful and friendly employees
The chicken and spinach soup was the best soup I have ever had. They could put Zoop out of business.
My steak was slightly tough and had lots of grisle otherwise it would be five stars across the board.
I’m BRAND NEW TO MI, and a new friend had me meet her here. Omggggoodnessss she bragged on the salads and boy did they not disappoint. The salads are huge, I ate less than half of my Cobb salad. My son had a kids pancake in the shape of a Micky.
They ordered the strawberry and kale salad (which was excellent; she insisted I try hers.) and chicken tenders and fries. The fries were crispy and the chicken looked great. I will be back and can’t wait to bring others. I’ve already invited someone else to try this place out.
Also found out that they do Sunday Brunch like buffet style. I can’t wait to come back for brunch.
I usually dine in for lunch but tonight I tried their dinner menu. I was not disappointed, this beef short rib dinner with mash and grilled asparagus was delicious. Portion was great, I had enough for leftovers for my husband the next next. He loved it after 1 day old too!

Phoenicia NEVER disappoints!!! Their Dover sole is to die for!!! You can tell it’s a great restaurant because it’s always busy!!
Absolutely loved this place. They have a huge menu including lots of Salads. The service was great, Ambience is beautiful and the salad was very tasty. I think this is the best place to get a good salad in this area! I will be visiting more frequently for sure!
*Update :- Second time we went we had a different server. She hardly paid attention to us and that was very stressful as we were on alunch break. Same thibg happened again another weekday. So go there if you have time.
Spacious and clean, with a perfectly sized menu and really presentable dishes for the price. Faster than some Coney Island type places -with a similar menu- but much higher quality food. This may be a new regular spot for me!
Sometimes this place is a madhouse. Especially around daily lunch hours. The quality of the food is well worth the wait. If you order an omelet I strongly recommend the Protein Omelet.
I typically order carry out and the staff is usually multi-tasking. Despite all that is going on behind the scenes, the staff member do their best to make sure that my experience is pleasant each time.
