This place is rarely busy inside and their food is very good.
I had the lunch special and the server was nice and recommended everything.
The ambiance is very relaxing and the interior is beautiful!

Went to Baan thai on Feb 28 in search of a good thai eating place. Upon entering I clearly asked the waitress for Vegetarian options and let her know we can only eat non veg. We ordered from her only veg given options but just to be careful as I felt she spoke limited english confirmed that my food wont have chicken, or any other meat. It seemed she was getting irritated but she confirmed it was only Veg and had no meat. After eating the soup midway I noticed there was something that looked like chicken. My husband said it's probably just tofu. When I saw the waitress arrived with the entree (thai eggplant) I noticed there was chickeno on it too. She confirmed it was chicken in the soup as well as the entree because it was clear at that point. I was sickened and felt violated. We left the restaurant and the waitress had the audacity to run to our car and ask for the payment. She then said if we didnt want to pay for the entree or the soup we had to pay for the drink and appetizer. I was furious and she saw that and left. I will never go to this restaraunt and neither should anyone who has any type of food restrictions. They will sraight up lie to your face. I also don't think I will go to any Thai restaraunt after this.

Absolutely delicious food! Great menu options to choose from. The shrimp dumplings were simply out of this world! So much flavor and freshness. Very impressed by the great service and wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Just a short drive from downtown Chester is a lovely Thai restaurant. When you enter the restaurant you see the usual beautiful decor that you see at your usual Thai restaurant. What separates this from a typical Thai restaurant is the overall presentation of the dishes. Careful attention was made to each dish, making your food look that muvh more appealing. The food itself matched the quality of the presentation. My wife had the Sesame Chicken, I had the Evil Jungle Princess and we shared the Chicken Spring Rolls. The portions were generously-sized and well seasoned. The restaurant also offers online ordering for easy pick up or delivery. Service was quick, and the menu had a large variety of options. This restaurant is a great choice for delicious Thai food in the West Chester area.

The food is consistently good and tasty. We’ve never been disappointed and invite guests to accompany us to Baan Thai Sabaidee without any hesitation. The Holy Basil with brown rice and added eggplant is my personal go-to favorite...even the staff knows that! Picture below

I ordered on door dash the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with tofu. I was so good and colorful and man did they pack a lot of veggies in there. I would definitely go again.

Pathetic food. For starters they don’t have a kids menu. The pad Thai was so tomatoish. For The pepper steak they didn’t even asked how the steak should be. It was medium rare.
The chicken cashew was ok and even the coconut base green curry thanks to the coconut cream. The chicken smelled like chicken. Normally it doesn’t have that smell.

LOVE Baan Thai!! The ladies at the front are SO nice and helpful, I actually enjoy seeing them LOL! I get takeout from Baan when I want to eat a LOT and pay a LITTLE!! Also, they have vegan/vegetarian options which is really cool. My boyfriend and I usually get two noodle bowls and two apps for under $40-- talk about a cheap date night!! The food is always amazing and I love how the condiments come on the side for the pho. Also love how this place has parking. So thankful this place survived the pandemic for us to discover it!! I love the tortoise at the front and all the cool decorations inside. Make sure you still tip on takeout people!!

Solid Thai, good service, will be back soon.

We spent a month in Thailand during a world trip. Ban Thai is not up to Bangkok or Phuket street food quality, but it is solid for Chester County. The sausage appetizer was exceptional.

One unusual positive: they know how to chill white wine, with a tub of ice water at the table within minutes of arrival.

Also good value for generous portions.

My wife called in a pick-up order on the telephone almost an hour and a half in advance of our pick-up time. No pressure. Only the best expectations.

I arrived on-time, not early, for the pick-up and waited behind two others who had just arrived before me. Their orders were not fully prepared yet, but I waited patiently without asking if my order was already complete and waiting for me. I saw they were busy there and wanted to be considerate.

Then it was my turn. I simply said I was picking-up an order placed by my wife. Suddenly, the woman behind the counter barked at me that there was no telephone order from my wife. She then tried to tell me that my order was placed 'on-line', which it wasn't. It seems there was an on-line order sitting there for a while for someone with a name similar to my wife's name. Then the woman at the counter states more times that we did not call in an order. Finally, she hands me a cryptic handwritten order with no name on it and asks if that is my order. I call my wife and we quickly determine that order is also not ours.

The countrer woman again says she did not receive our order while she is shuffling through all the orders that have been filled. I see our order there and finally the woman realizes that they gave our order away to the person who had made the on-line order that was still waiting there. I am then TOLD that I will have to wait 30 minutes for my order!

AND the woman calls the person who had mistakenly been given my order and SCOLDS the customer on the phone for taking the wrong order and for not telling them that they had ordered on-line. She gets off the phone and barks at me again that I will have to wait 30 minutes! I said, sorry, 30 minutes is just too long to wait (knowing full well an order like ours for a family of 4 could be expedited in 15 minutes). On my way out she sarcastically yells 'thank you' to me.

All this time, I was quite cool and never insisting, as I saw she was in a very bad mood. But berating me and the other customer is terrible business. I don't care that they are convenient to where I live nor whether or not the food is good. I have never been treated like this at any store or restaurant. Shockingy bad behavior.

Food was delicious and they have a really great lunch deal which includes soup, an appetizer and then an entree. I would love to come back if I didn't have our server. Our server, Kat was very rude and slow. If I did come back I would make sure she didn't serve us or I would take out just so I wouldn't have to tip her. I enjoyed the food very much it's a shame she had to ruin the experience though.

Fabulous Find!. Came here on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised. Everything we ordered was really good. I highly recommend the Baan Thai salad and the Ginger Chicken entree. This might be my new favorite restaurant. It was great!

This is the best Thai restaurant I've been to in a long time and I've tried many in the Philadelphia area. I went with a group of six and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their order. In addition we shared four appetizers all of which were delicious. The menu has plenty of options for all tastes, as well as many chefs specialties, and the service was quick and extremely friendly. In fact at the end of our meal we were given a complimentary fried banana dessert that was perhaps the best thing we had tasted all evening. All in all a great find and as an added bonus a BYO so we saved big time on the final bill. This is definitely my new go to Thai place and I'll definitely be back soon!

This place is a gem and its the real deal. Papaya salad (Thai salad) is genuine and prepared like it should be - papaya not cabbage. Food is excellent - Bangkok shrimp was incredible - and the owner is a sweetheart! It's tucked away just outside of the main restaurant scene, but its absolutely worth the addl 10 min to get there. Plenty of parking too which is a major plus in WC!

First Visit with the Family. So close to home, I wanted to love it, but Baan Thai fell short of our expectations. Poor service, overpowering scented candles and a lack of customer service. The food was ok, but I have experienced better Thai food in West Chester.
