Excellent historic atmosphere! The food portions are huge but delicious. Each member of our party enjoyed their meal! Service was friendly and quick. They have adorable outside seating during the spring and summer which is a definite plus.

Service was extremely friendly, although the room we were in was very stuffy, everyone was sweating. But my god, the chicken here was out of this world. I was blown away by the sauce served with it, it was fantastic. The whole meal was absolutely delicious

Had one of the best resteraunt experiences here recently. The building is beautiful, the mood was quiet and romantic, and the food was beyond good. Both service and dinner were better than we expected. Very pleased with our experience and we will definitely be back.

My wife & I went to celebrate her birthday. She had a gift certificate that was more than 17 years old! It was accepted without even a hint of any reservation. Excellent food, excellent service. Best in the area. Go there often, you won't be disappointed!

My husband took me here for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was perfect nice and cozy. The food was delicious and the pricing was appropriate for the quality and quantity of food. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice quality romantic place for dinner

Went there for dinner last night after not having been there in a while. While the Inn has maintained its same charm, and the staff were friendly, the food has definitely taken a dive. Ordered shrimp cocktail for starter. It was OK although I have had firmer, fresher elsewhere. Entree was a pasta dish that was supposed to contain crab - no crab was in it - instead it was served with a pile of shrimp on top that appeared to be cooked but again, not the texture of fresh shrimp.. I should have complained but ate it, as I was starving by the time dinner came and hadn't had much to eat during the day. Big Mistake - the shrimp were not fresh and should have been tossed. Instead they tossed it on my entree - paid the price and woke up sick as a dog in early morning hours and throughout today. Other comments - bread was like shoe leather and my husband's dinner was also not that impressive for the money. We dine out often, at some places better than others - even so, I rarely have given a place a bad review. However, with respect to Dilworthtown Inn, my advice is that there are better options for the money elsewhere in Chester County. By the way if you want fresh seafood and are willing to travel for it, try Seven Seas in Milford CT - they're one of the best.

This is an incredibly beautiful inn to see. The excellent food and service add to this experience as well. This is an upscale place but it is also has reasonable prices. You can BYOB for a small fee if you want. Again, white tablecloths, impeccable wait staff, and a diverse menu make for a very special night. It's fun to watch the menu change with the seasons.

The food, service, atmosphere all were amazing. The duck was cooked perfectly, not too dry, not greasy. The house old fashioned was well done as well.
Absolutly, positively will be going back. Great place for any American history lover.

The calamari was absolutely outstanding. We also had the lobster bisque, wild mushroom soup, Caesar salad, baby spinach salad (exceptional) and the special lobster dinner for 2. My only complaint was the lobster dinner was rather small for $130. Otherwise, everything was fabulous and our waiter Dan was very attentive, gregarious and professional! I'll always recommend this establishment!

The building, history, and atmosphere was wonderful and only reason I'm giving 2 stars. The service and food was horrible. When you have scallops, mushrooms, and spinach the spinach shouldn't be the best food on your plate. The scallops and mushrooms were way over cooked. The dipping sauce for the scallops was disguisting. Don't waste your money here wayyy over priced.

The Dilworthtown Inn is one of my favorite restaurants. It's got it all atmosphere great food and impeccable service. We've never had a bad experience and we've been many many times. Everything is expertly prepared and they have mashed potatoes that are to die for. It may sound funny but they really are amazing. The filet mignon melts in your mouth. The lobster was wonderful I could go on and on. As I said I've never had a bad meal here.

Last night was my very first time at the restaurant and I loved it.
From the moment I walked into the building, I felt surrounded by history.. The manager was so kind and right there to answer any questions.
It was a belated birthday cemebration, so my friend wanted to do something special for me.
We ordered the Shrimp cocktail and they were plump and juicy, the mushroom soup was very delicious and The Chateaubriand for two was perfect. We had the eggplant side dish and it was very tasty. We were so full, there was no room for desert......Next time for sure!

Beautiful atmosphere, very attentive service. Delicious carrot soup, chateaubriand was amazing, but the mashed potatoes were too salty, and when I complained the server said the chef was heavy handed with the salt.

The food is excellent. If you like duck, they make the best I have ever had. Their other meals are good also, but once you eat the duck, you'll continue to get it.

It used to be the standard for fine dining, but sadly it is just average. Mediocre food and service, and a real lack of attention to detail( ex. Forgetting birthday desert, not having an allergen free desert even after being reassured they would have one other than sorbet, serving wrong food to patrons). They have unfortunately dropped the ball.

Still a lovely & casually elegant place to dine on creatively prepared dishes & cocktails. Superb mushroom soup, chops & fish dishes. Exceptional wine list. Many elegant rooms. Good service.
Robert Clifton
A shadow of its former grandeur, but still the reigning champion of fine dining in Chester County! No filet on the menu Saturday night! A wine list that has shrunken from "The Good Book" to a simple 2-pager!
My how the mighty have fallen! Still, all things considered, I will pick Dilworthtown over any other for a special meal. One of the few remaining with real candles, escargot, and exquisite fare!

We actually ended up at the Blue Pear- their other restaurant. It was the best meal ever from start to dessert!! Can't wait to go back!!

I have been going to Dillsworth Inn for more then 10 years and can easily say that the staff and food compare to any 5 star international restaurant. Love the Caesar salad, the meat cuts and the ambience!

Great service, and the food was perfect !
Would definitely recommend.
Rob Campbell
Great atmosphere, slow/poor service, wait for our entrées was unacceptable and the food was mediocre at best, very very disappointed

Hands down has been our favorite fine dining restaurant for the past 30 years. When you experience the best food, impeccable service and ambiance that just cannot be found elsewhere you don't want to waste the time trying out a cold, sterile atmosphere where the service is subpar and food you feel guilty for wasting your money.

Wendy got a cold steak. Literally cold. Really! Like it just came out of the refrigerator. The lamb chops were big, but did not have much flavor. The atmosphere was nice, the service was nice, but very slow. Not the servers fault, definitely kitchens fault. The place did not serve cheesecake, what?
