Really cool place. The place is decorated in old school rap and hip hop icons. Menu is creative with names reminiscent of hip hop and rap artists/ songs. As for the food, also really good. I had the “You can’t touch this” and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back.
BEST BRUNCH IN DES MOINES! Really cool vibe with graffiti art and rap going in the background. Reasonable prices and some interesting (but delicious) menu items. A few vegan items as well if you’re into that kind of thing. You’ll have to strategize on arrival/eating time. I would not go with too big of group, and I’d try to go early.
I want to make sure to point out this restaurant doesn't open until 8am. Also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Fast forward to food. I had the Slam Wich with breakfast potatoes. HUGE! It was a waffle with egg, bacon, tomato, aliol sauce, arugula, provolone cheese. It wasn't for me BUT very flavorful and enough for seriously 2 or 3 meals. I have had their Toast Face Killah which is divine, and their Red Light Special which was very good.
I was pleased when my server offered me a Pepsi to go. No one offers that! Thank you! My total was $15 before tip.
This is a locally owned gem. Give them a try. Old school music playing, fair pricing, good service, nice selection of food, coffees, drinks.
First of all, the vibe of the eatery is awesome and so different. As for the food, they have delicious traditional breakfast. Their eggs, toast, and especially the breakfast potatoes are phenomenal. I got their Mimosa Chicken and Waffles. The Mimosa syrup was fantastic, but neither the waffles nor the chicken were crispy, and the chicken needs a little more flavor. Overall good, with a little room for improvement!
Great wait staff, were greeted promptly at the door and seated. Waitress brought us water right after we were seated and asked us if we wanted anything else to drink while we looked over the menu. The omelet was huge. Everything came out quickly and hot. We will be back!

The atmosphere is great, music was super fun (a little loud when we went but as long as you don't have a large group its not a huge deal). They have a great variety of options. Would definitely recommend if in the mood for breakfast food!
Food was good, tasty. I had the Toast face killa, yummy to heaven. Art work on the wall while you eat, music is the best. Hip-Hop style. You won't regret it, not to mention how cheap the bill was after ordering all those food.
Went here for the first time and loved it! The staff were all polite and attentive. The food was delicious and they were big portions. The scenery/vibe was enjoyable and nostalgic.
