For years I've avoided this place despite the fact I live only a few blocks from the restaurant. I thought this was a hoity toity establishment with overpriced food. Boy was I wrong!! First of all, the service is warm and friendly, the atmosphere is chill and laid back and best of all the food is excellent and well worth every penny. My friend and I went here for happy hour (by now we've tried half a dozen places for happy hour). I had the pasta of the day which was pork shank sauce with bespoke pasta. It was soooooo good with plenty of meat and a thick unctuous sauce. At $13 it was such a good value. If I had to find a flaw it would be that since the pasta was folded into a cannoli shape, the center part with multiple layers was a bit more al dente than I like but that's a minor quibble. Overall it had an excellent flavor with a generous portion.
My friend had the sirloin burger for $10 which she said was delicious. Also a good size.
As usual she had the house wine and I had fresh made lemonade with cranberry juice. Both were excellent.
The gnocchi was a balanced vegetarian dish, good portion. The onion soup was tasty. Disappointed with the overcooked Wagyu burger. We ordered medium and they had no pink or juices. Also ordered one without cheese and we believe the cheese was picked off instead of being left off as there was cheese on the bottom of the patty and bottom bun. Luckily it was a dairy intolerance and not a dairy allergy. Had service been faster we may have considered sending it back.

You know it’s going to be fun when the bartender is fabulous! Shout out the JR as he is the vibe of the whole restaurant and bar. Seating at the bar is fun with great service! He has his own drink: The Red Lotus! Don’t miss it! Food is great with a good happy hour menu. Parking is easy and during the summer great outdoor seating options. On Monday they have a 3 course Italian dinner and on Tuesday’s a 3 course “supply chain” dinner which changes every week! If you haven’t been here GO! We had a great time and will go back soon.
We were here on a rainy Sunday and it was pretty dead. They have a family meal special on Sunday: two salads, roasted brussel sprouts, and two 12” pizzas for $50. We did the Italiano and Fennel Sausage pizzas. Both salads came with a creamy dressing. It would have been nice to have two different kind of dressings like an oil based one to mix it up. They forgot to put the olives on our pizza, which we had to point out, and so got them on the side afterwards. Everything tasted pretty good. I really enjoyed the Italian style pizza crust and the brussel sprouts still had a crunch.

The 503 is amazing! We went on a Wednesday night and it wasn’t too busy, so our service was great! We talked with the server, and the chef, who is also the owner. Both were very friendly and proud of what they have. And they should be! The food was so good! All of the dishes were creative, and several of them we were trying to figure out the ingredients because they were so curious and delicious we wanted to re-create them. However, when we asked Johnny, the chef, he was happy to share, what he uses in the food, stating that we couldn’t re-create it the way he does it anyways. It’s true! He really does a phenomenal job!
Our server was very sweet, friendly and helpful. She did say that they get very busy on the weekends in the evenings, and that it has been hard to find help. I imagine the service on the weekends is not quite as good as we got on a Wednesday night. So be aware that the service could be a little slower on the weekend. And if you know good workers for serving and bartending staff they really need a bartender and quality servers. They have one, but since the pandemic have had a hard time, filling the spots with the right people.
Please support this business and you will thank yourself for supporting an amazing staff, and also for your happy belly.
Oh, and one last thing, none of us drink alcohol and we spent about $39 a person with appetizers and our meals.
I have been coming here since their inception, and Johnny is the new owner/chef. There certainly has been difficulty with the transition but I think he is doing the best he can. I had an excellent bib salad tonight and a hamburger, medium rare, was also excellent. Last week I had an abysmal service with forgotten entree, but can see the potential potential from tonight. Let’s not give up on this place, it has great potential as it always has, and The owner Johnny is doing his best. The major problem for my perspective is hiring good service people, and he does seem to be making inroads into that area. we need a really good local restaurant, and I think he will pull it off! I am hoping they will return the mac & cheese.

What a great place to share a meal with friends and family! Food is amazing and the atmosphere is relaxing. Going on a night when there is music is a must! What a great time!
Had a quick dinner here while driving throigh, had some friends order my dish ordered in advance because I was running a little late. The food here was just delightful! Had the Bay Scallop Bucatini, and it was just absolutely perfect. If you have a chance try the onion rings, the batter is delecate and crispy, and seasoned just perfectly. I sadly forgot to take a picture of them, but I highly reccomend!
Where the service lacks, the kitchen more than compensates. Very talented and very impressive. I could have eaten the fresh corn soup with a straw then ask for more. The heirloom salad is an experience. My husband’s steak was cooked to perfection as was everything else. Will be back.

A lovely lunch experience! Delightful atmosphere, delicious food and a pleasant host/ server. We needed easy accessibility and handicap parking is right in front of the restaurant.

There was a band that played outside and we had a reservation on there patio. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the drinks were better. Will definitely go back. My husband had a great Birthday.

Five O Three is a great place to wet your whistle and/or have a fine dining experience! With indoor and outdoor seating... weather is no object for a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. Say hey to J.R. behind the bar, the man knows his drinks. You can't go wrong here.
