Decor and ambience is ON POINT! Patrick was great with service and upbeat, made the experience very enjoyable. Food… from the spicy rigatoni to the steak, it was all amazing. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts with Capt Crunch… yes. Just try it! Drinks were perfect I was very grateful for the fact that the music was not the typical steak joint/elevator soundtrack Not given lightly in my opinion, but def a 10/10!!! But make a reservation in as much advance as possible. We gad a hard time getting in on.l a Thursday afternoon.

BB is definitely a great experience overall. You're getting what you pay for. The prices are high but the food was excellent and the steak delicious. We ate outdoors which I believe is the better way to go. You may have to wait some time after your reservation if you want to eat outside but we had nice weather and it was worth the wait. The atmosphere is a little tight on the one hand but overall comfortable and well done. The service at the check-in, the bar, and the table were all top notch. Our server was Mario and he was excellent. The staff is constantly topping off your water and explaining anything to you that you need. I feel they try to upsell you on additional food but they ended up being correct ultimately and they weren't pushy about it. Brussel sprouts and crispy potatoes are a must. They were both up there with some of the best I've eaten at any steakhouse. The wedge salad was amazing. It was more spicy than I expected but I enjoyed that. Thick cut bacon was delicious! The steak came out more rare than we ordered but it was acceptable and I'm sure if we said something about it they would have happily made an adjustment. We have no complaints and it was a great experience start to finish.

Finally got to try Butcher Block and wow was it worth the wait! Drinks were awesome and the food was incredible. Took a while for the steak but that was expected as it was busy and all the steaks were cooked over wood grate fire. We also got some vegetables as a side and the spicy rigatoni…. MUST TRY. Make sure to make a reservation on your way out for your next visit because they don’t have a phone number to call and make reservations and no online bookings either.

Peter was our server and he was terrific. He made excellent recommendations and the food was exquisite. The cocktails were excellent as well. The service, food and ambiance are top notch. We were very happy to be seated outside as it does seem to be very tight inside. My only negative feedback for the food would be that the bacon side dish is way too sweet.

Great food. Worth the price. Top notch. Great service. Love the rustic feel to the atmosphere. Porter house was a must. There are too many options for just one visit. Definitely met the hype.

Tonight I came here for a spontaneous dinner date. It was great. The highlight appetizer would be the recommended sausage and potatoes. The first drink pictured was great and smooth. As our entrees, the pasta we got was pasta bolognese (pictured) and spicy rigatoni. I highly recommend the pasta bolognese as it is one of the best pastas I’ve had in the U.S. FYI, it is cooked al dente but that’s what makes it great. The steak was cooked medium and was juicy and well enough for two. The highlight drink of the night was definitely the fresh espresso martini. And to finish it all, the churro bowl was great. Overall, I will be recommending this place to friends and family and our server was amazing and attentive!

From start to finish, everything about The Block was unbelievable…service, ambiance, and the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. Our family has been to steak houses all over NJ, NY, and California and The Block hands down trumps them all. Absolutely amazing birthday dinner and cannot wait to come back!

Definitely a very special experience. When you enter you go into a meat locker where each cut was explained. Our waiter was helpful in making sure we were ordering the right amount of food and wouldn’t be leaving hungry wince we were overwhelmed with the different cuts and pricing. Definitely on the more expensive side, but a perfect place for a nice occasion. Brussel sprouts were outrageously good.

First time visit! And everything was AMAZING!! From the food, the presentation in the butcher shop explaining the steaks to us! And how could I forgot the amazing father son duo Artie and Vince that made sure we were always taken care of at the table!! I will definitely be back!

The Butcher’s Block is an experience. From making a reservation online in advanced, to seeing and selecting your meat in a neat locker, to the music selection, it’s a total vibe of a restaurant. Our reservation was originally for outside, and unfortunately the forecast had rain. We had received a call to move our reservation to earlier in the day, which we had accepted, and arrived to a valet who greeted us to park our car. They were very prompt with taking our car and bringing it back when we were done with our dinner. HOSTESS: 10/10 We were greeted by the hostess, Margaret, and she had asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating (the bad weather had subsided, but we didn’t want to take the chance). We opted to eat inside, and we took a tour of their meat locker room. Once inside, Carlos aka “Los”, went over all of the different cuts of meats, the aging process, what farm they originated from, how many people the cut of meat would approximately feed, etc. he was absolutely fabulous in ensuring we chose the best meat for our party’s needs. SERVICE: 10/10 Upon sitting at our table, we were promptly greeted by Liam, who was a fantastic server. He wasn’t overbearing, had a really nice demeanor, and was overall a pleasant waiter. We especially loved that every table came with a server and an “assistant” who would fill your water cups, take away your plates, clean the table of crumbs, etc. really outstanding service. APPETIZERS: 10/10 | Complementary bread for the table 10/10 | Caesar salad - it was dressed with just enough to coat every piece of lettuce and didn’t leave you with bad breath 10/10 | Sausage - had a little bit of spice but was super flavorful and came out piping hot 3/10 | Ricotta Dip - lacked flavor. It was super fresh and could have been really good but needed garlic or lemon or salt and pepper ENTREES/SIDES: 10/10 | Filet steak - it had a ton of flavor and was cooked to perfection, of which our mom ordered medium well 10/10 | Porterhouse steak - melt in your mouth and was also cooked to perfection, of which we ordered medium. It was a big enough portion to feed 3 adults 10/10 | Moog - this was one of the specialty pastas of the night. Had great flavor and was a bit spicy, but great portion to share 10/10 | Crispy Potatoes - roasted in duck fat, they were the best potatoes I think I’ve ever had as a side. Super crispy/crunchy DESSERT: 10/10 | Churro with ice cream - some of the best dessert at a restaurant and enough to split between 2 people DRINKS: 10/10 | Diamond Lady - light, refreshing, and had great flavor, presented beautifully in a coop. Not sugary at all 10/10 | Smoking Gun - smooth and great flavor Things to keep in mind: 1. Music is a bit loud and raunchy - for anyone born in the 90’s, you’ll love the set-list 2. It’s very dark inside. Most people used their phone flashlights to see the menus 3. A lot of people brought their young kids but in our opinion, it’s not really a place for them Overall we had a really great experience and even better food. Everything was cooked to our specification and the staff was spectacular. It’s tough to get a reservation but if you do, it’s worth the drive and dining experience!

I love the ambiance of this place. It’s absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous! I think the food can be a bit better and the pricing for drinks more consistent. Overall it’s a must see place that I would go back to in the hopes they continually improve their food.

One of top steaks I have ever had. Both the Snake River Farms Waygu and Montana Prime dry aged 45 are phenomenal. Upscale vibe, impeccable service including presentation on meats/cuts prior to seating. Premium price but fair market value for the meat and production. A steak easily feeds 2 and they are willing to cut for more if requested. The spicy rigatoni, Brussel sprouts, potatoe sides are 🔥. Thank you Butcher's Block!!!

Went for my son 16th birthday and it was nothing but an amazing experience. I’ve been to the block before and everytime it’s been a wonderful time. It was my sons first time and he loved everything. The food was made to perfection, the drinks were excellent and the service was as incredible! They went above and beyond! They cut the cake we had delivered to the restaurant and I brought gifts for my son and they brought them over to the table when it was time for him to open them! They also gave him a birthday gift/care package! Will most definitely continue coming back! Thank you so much for making his 16th birthday memorable!

Best restaurant ever. There was 0 negatives. Everybody was happy, joyful, and willing to help you have the best night of your life. Plus the steak was the best steak I think I will ever have.

What an amazing dinner. The food and service was top notch. The drinks were delicious. We sat next to the meat fridge. It was much better than the crowded dining room. The cut and temperature of the meat were perfect. The only awkward part was the room where they were doing a “demonstration” of the meat. Apparently, it’s mandatory before they seat you. We will definitely be back!!

High recommended steak house ! The steak was AMAZING. Ambiance was romantic although the place is a little dark inside and could have better lighting it does not take away from how well they cook their steaks.

We were able to get a nice Table For Six on a Friday night. We lucked out on the reservation as we were able to get it only last week. The reservation was for 8:15 and we arrived about 5 min prior. The valet parking ran very smoothly and we met the hostess a little early. We were told that our table wasn’t ready and that we could wait for a text at the outdoor bar. The outdoor area is very pretty and had plenty of outdoor heaters. We stayed outside for about 15 minutes but when it got a little chilly, we went inside again. The entry had 2 heaters to keep us warm. Shortly thereafter, our hostess said we could come inside to see the explanations of the cuts of meat they offered. It is about 3-5 min of being shown what they have and an interesting demo by their butcher as well as a description of Argentinian grilling. After that, our hostess sat us at a table in a private room. We definitely lucked out! Our wait staff Dalton and Adam were wonderful. They asked us if we needed the music turned down and even adjusted the temperature down for us. Each couple ended up getting an appetizer, a Porterhouse and a side which we all shared. Our Caesar salad and garlic mash were delicious and the Porterhouse was cooked to perfection. They even brought us out complementary sautéed mushrooms. All of this was enjoyed with a bottle of red and a cocktail. Overall the experience of all this enjoyed with friends was definitely worth the hype. Yes it was pricey but as another reviewer commented “you get what you pay for” and we feel the experience, the food, the atmosphere, and the awesome service was well worth it. On the way out, the valet staff was hustling and brought the car around quickly. Kudos and thank you to Dalton, Adam and the valet staff again for a fantastic dining experience last night.

Simply the best of everything under one roof! The cocktails are amazing and the food is perfection - thoughtfully prepared and presented and always top-notch quality. Attentive staff and great service (shout out to our server, John -- he's the best!) and we never feel rushed. Great venue with a great vibe - The Block delivers a memorable dining experience that always keeps us looking forward to "the next time."

Stopped here for a birthday dinner. Overall was a decent experience. Gripe I have is they packed your stuff for you in the back to go which didn’t allow us the opportunity to check so once we got home we realized they left out one of sides which we only ate a spoonful from. Other than that disappointment the ambience was very nice and food was ok. My fish was saltier than I’d prefer but ok overall. Our sides is what we enjoyed the most which is why the disappointment mentioned.
