The atmosphere is nice and clean! I love the salsa and the cheese dip also! Food came out hot and fresh, in a timely manner. The thing that I’m happiest about is that my order came out exactly how I ordered it. I didn’t have to ask her to take the plate back and fix it or to bring anything that was forgotten. It was just perfect! The staff is also friendly and our server kept our drinks full and empty plates removed as needed! I would recommend this place to anyone!
The food is great! The wait staff did s good job with 2 bigger parties. The chips, salsa or queso was excellent. The wait staff kept it coming for group. I recommend El Sombrero of West Monroe to anyone wanting some good food.
The food and the service were excellent ! I had the fish tacos . They are larger than most restaurants fish tacos ! They were fantastic ! I highly recommend!
The food is always 'top shelf'. Our waiter, Melvin..our favorite, is so friendly and helpful. We love El Sombrero!!!!
Salsa was spicy and delicious. Chips were warm, thin and crispy. Just the way I like them. Margaritas were very good. I can't remember the name of what I had but it was a combination burrito plate. It was good and we'll portioned. Service was good too. We stayed for 2 hours just enjoying the food and visiting with each other. They did not rush us out either.
Always a five star experience when we visit here. Love the delicious food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. We don't eat anywhere but here for Mexican food.

The food here is amazing and very reasonably priced, however the service was terrible at best. The server was covering a large party room alone and couldn't handle the load. His attitude was awful. The place was very busy, but we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. Will go again and request another server if we get that particular young man again.
Mothers day lunch!. The wait wasn't bad considering it was mothers day..so it took about 45 minutes to get seated! However well worth it!! The food was wonderful.we ordered the mixed fajitas. The temperature in the big room was warm but again could have been from the crowd of Mother's day! The restaurant was very clean. We will definitely eat here again.
Service and food was great and great company too....!! Taco salad looked good and I will have that on the next visit.....
Nice place. This is the cleanest, nicest looking Mexican restaurant in Ouachita Parish, by far. The food is good, and there are a lot of choices (and every one of them is great). They have items on their menu that you won't find at other places, and the waitstaff is nice. The only problem I have is when we get seated near the kitchen. The last time this happened, we were so hot that we were sweating, and our baby cried quite a bit because of the heat. We now ask to be seated elsewhere and will wait if needed.

I try to hit a new mexican resturaunt everywhere i got and there was 3 in west monroe i was considering going to but this one seemed to have the best reveiws so i decided to go to el sombreros and im so glad it did! it the best mexican place i have been to, it's very classy inside and even the waiters are dressed well, i was expecting it to be very expensive by the looks of things but i couldnt beleive how afordable it was. the chips and salsa where fresh and the slsa was hot! best slsa i have ever had and the chips where thicker wich i dont normaly like but these where great! very freshly made and hot. the cheesey bean dip was great the only thing was the portion was some what small but it was only about $2.50 and the main course was huge. i got the chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas and they where awsome! the portion was huge, took half od it home, the steak and sautueed veggies just perfect and so was the fresh rice/beans,guacamole and tortias. the waiter was great, freindly fast but not to fast, just right. i cant say enough about this place, i just wish i had one in my town! if your going through west monroe, or lucky enough to live there el sombrero is the only way to go. 5stars!

Fabulous food and great Prices. The original El Sombrero began as a small hole-in-the-wall Mexican Restaurant in Vicksburg, MS. Our family was thrilled when the EL Sombrero family decided to open a location in West Monroe. The food is very reasonably priced, always hot, fresh, and very prompt. The staff are friendly and genuinely pleased to serve their customers. They even have an event room that is beautifully decorated in the back of the restaurant, complete with burning fireplace. We attended a wedding rehearsal dinner in the event room that was absolutely beautiful, the food was hot and delicious, and the service was second to none.
Great Food and Atmosphere. Probably my favorite Mexican in town. Tried several entrees and they were all delicious - the only "bad" service we've ever gotten was on Cinco de Mayo when they were slammed and that's understandable. Even then, it was only a little slow - still polite, friendly, competent servers. Love the salsa.
Quite yummy. This has become our top choice for Mexican. The food has been excellent each time we've eaten there. Pleasant surroundings, but the staff seems under-trained and under-supervised. The last time we ate there, we were seated near the front door, which the hostess propped open despite cold weather. The next time we eat here, we will be a bit more assertive about table selection.
I've eaten here several times, and I've never had a bad experience. Today I ordered the lunch fajitas, and left stuffed with a to-go box that was equally as full. I would recommend the top shelf margarita as opposed to the regular, it is much better and worth the extra cost. Overall, the prices are resonable, the food portions very generous, and the atmosphere is very trendy. P.S for all of the husbands out there, there are several t.v's that are always tuned to espn and can be seen from pretty much anywhere you sit.

Bueno, Bueno, a wonderful treat!. After a very long and highly eventful week, my family and I opted to try this recently opened eatery near our home. Upon our first entering this establishment, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and immediately seated. The interior of this locale is very warm and inviting, very clean, and the decor is quite upbeat (not loud and obnoxious like a lot of our local Mexican eateries). Our server was very expedient, and took our orders right away. My husband ordered the No. 72,"Yolandas" which consisted of 3 corn tortillas stuffed with shredded chicken, covered in a warm cheese sauce, and served with a generous portion of rice. My selection was the No. 70 - Quesadilla Rellena, which was a warm flour tortilla stuffed with grilled chicken, sauteed bell peppers, onions and tomatoes, served with (again) a generous portion of rice, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream and a wonderfully fresh pico de gallo. My children ordered from the kids menu, and both received a very generous portion of food! The food presentation was wonderful, the taste was fresh and vehemently pleasing to the palate, and my family and I will most certainly make this locale a regular stop for our outings! On the Parker Spoon Review, I happily award El Sombrero 4 Spoons!!! Great work mi amigos, mucho bueno! :)

Stopped by for dinner. I ordered the Chicken with cheese mushrooms and bacon. First time I have had bacon with a Mexican meal. I have to say it was good. The chips and salsa were also ok. The salsa was a lil more tomato tasting than I like but not that overpowering. The reason I didn’t give the full 5 stars is for 2 reasons. I ordered no tomatoes and no pico. Well there was pico on my plate making it impossible to enjoy all my sour cream. The second reason is that they has flan on the menu. When I ordered it for dessert I was told they have not served it for years boooo. Music was good and lively. I would come back if I lived closer.
The Nachos Mexicano was delicious. Our server and greeter Antonio (I think, please forgive if not) was super attentive and friendly. Always a great experience when I stop there. Great place for Authentic Mexican dishes.
Nice restaurant it was kinda dim had a nice ambiance took a lil minute to place our order it wasn't packed but it was worth it the food was good the guacamole 🥑 had a wonderful taste to it the best I've tasted since I've been out here the waiter said it was the type of avocado drinks a bit pricey but the glass was long and deep 😂
Very nice experience tonight at this restaurant. Service was fantastic. Our server Trey was courteous and efficient. The food was delicious. We had been traveling for over 10 hours from South Carolina since very early this morning and this dinner was great and relaxing. Just what we needed. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Decent place for Mexican food while travelling. It was close to our hotel and our server was outstanding, her name was Magdelena. The servings are large for those with a big appetite.
I recommend the steak street tacos! The steak was flavorful and tender!
