Best way I can describe this place is that it's an average experience for a premium price tag.
Went in at 2 on a Tuesday and nobody was there. Most of the chairs were tipped up on the tables and it looked dark. I questioned whether or not it was open.
As I had never been there, the guy running the kitchen and the counter was very kind giving me a tour of the menu and let me take my time deciding.
The chicken fingers were very good. Tasted homemade, fresh, nicely breaded, and juicy. The homemade sauce was excellent as well with the chicken.
The Mac and cheese being a "premium side" was pretty poor. Watery, bland, lacking cheese, and lacking soul.
For over 16 dollars for the meal, I'm not sure it was worth the price for the quality and amount of food. If the Mac and cheese were elevated to the level the chicken was at I'd have no problem paying that price.
Sitting somewhere between 3 and 4 stars for me but it has potential to be a big hit. Thanks and good luck đź‘Ť
Best chicken wings made to order. Great selection of sauce. Seasoned fries. Never had a bad order there. Family and down to earth ambience with friendly service with a smile.
1st time to location and this place rocks!!! Chicken is moist and crispy and so much flavor!! Wow! Might be the best chx tender/finger I’ve ever had!!!! Thanks for the amazing service as well.
The Cajey Cajun was on point. 3 slices cajun seasoned grilled chicken. It's not too spicy, just enough to know that it's cajun. The co-worker ordered the chicken tenders and said that they were good.
Great food. Great service. The chicken tenders & onion rings are sooooo good!! The patio is nice, but the flies are insane!! Please, for the love of God, get some fly traps.
This place was awesome. The boyfriend and I tried several different items off the menue. I can wholeheartedly recommend the chicken. The burgers were ok, but man oh man, the chicken. We had boneless and bone in. Bbq sauce was amazing. Cajun was ok, could definitely taste the heat.
The mac salad and potato salad wasn't my cup of tea. It's made with some spice in there I couldn't quite place and I didn't really like, but other than that spice it was great texture, other flavors were good.
The resturant looks newer, or very very well up kept. I love they have wine pairings for their wing sauces. They also have a bar/dining area in the back of you want to escape the children. They also have outdoor seating with live music events. We will be back to attend one of those!
I went to the chicken shack and I have to say I really enjoyed myself there. I didn’t spend much time in the restaurant but on the back porch which is very roomy, and although it was really hot out it wasn’t bad with their water misters. They had an amazing local band playing called VooDoo Alley. Their music gave me the chills. The stage is nice and from what I gather they have live bands there a lot. The food was really good as well. I had the bbq and the Cajun wings and they were so good. The Cajun ones weren’t weak either they had a good spicy kick to them. The garlic fries were super good too! The place is family friendly and yet also a nice place to grab a beer.
Great food and great customer service! I love that they have gluten free options such as the naked buffalo wings, grilled chicken tenders, and salad. They have a large variety of yummy sauces too!
The food was pretty good. Wait for food was about 30min. They seemed to be short staffed. Big back patio with a live band that was really loud for the space.
Highly skeptical going in, I set my expectations pretty low. I was blown away at how good their chicken strips are! Now I consider myself a regular.
I always order the 5-piece, but am assured that others can get full on the 3-piece. If you are an adult male with a healthy appetite, the 5-piece will be filling, but not stuff you. There are many sauce choices - I suggest the Chipoltle for a good, flavorful sauce that does not overpower the chicken, yet provides some twang. The strips are not over-battered, letting it be about the juicy breast meat.
The "Shack" is not that big, and is more like a take-out shop, rather than a sit down place, but there are 8-10 booths and 3-4 TVs if you want to eat there.
Pros: Excellent chicken strips and sauce choices.
Cons: Can be overwhelmed with floods of business, causing people to rethink their dining choice and go elsewhere to avoid the wait. Also, the fries are hit and miss - often soggy, but sometimes perfect.
The chicken fingers were very tasty, albeit scorching hot when they came out! Once they cooled down enough to eat, the huge portions, and great sauces, satisfied our hungry crowd. The honey habanero was the hit, but the Cajun, damn hot, and blue cheese were all worthy competitors. Beer selection was great for a small establishment, though the prices for the Elysian Space Dust were admittedly high. We'll be back to try more sauces and new sides. Also, the outdoor patio was very nice, providing shade, seating, and misters to help cool down while we listened to some great cover songs from local band Nerve Centr.
Nice clean, friendly place to eat. There are too many options to list. But if you like chicken, this is a place to go.
OMG DO I LOVE CHICKEN SHACKS RANCH!!! It’s the best I’ve ever had, no doubt. The fried chicken tastes mostly how it should always taste! Service is a hit and miss, but mostly a hit. I will always be a big fan, no
matter what!
Great food live band what more can you ask for , all that and dine by 10 pm because of noise ordinance.
Liked the chicken however I will not order the macaroni there was a few flies but not bad. The macaroni salad was awful.
