I recently dined at this fantastic Peruvian restaurant that exceeded my expectations. The food was simply exceptional, capturing the rich and diverse flavors of Peruvian cuisine. From the tender ceviche to the perfectly grilled anticuchos, every dish was a delightful journey for the taste buds.
What truly stood out was the careful attention to detail and authenticity in every plate. The use of traditional Peruvian ingredients and spices was evident, creating an unforgettable dining experience. Moreover, the restaurant managed to strike a remarkable balance between quality and affordability. The prices were reasonable and aligned well with the portion sizes and the high quality of the food.
The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, featuring vibrant Peruvian decor that transported you to the heart of Peru itself. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and more than willing to provide recommendations based on individual preferences.
All in all, I can confidently say that this Peruvian restaurant offers an exceptional culinary journey at prices that truly reflect the value you receive. Whether you're a seasoned Peruvian cuisine enthusiast or a first-timer, this restaurant is a definite must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and delightful dining experience.
Their Lomo Saltado is very good. Most popular meal in the restaurant. The portion looks quite big for one person but managed to finish it. Mauricio is super friendly and kind. He knows some great recommendations. Haven’t got a chance to try their other foods in the menu but will do when I come back. I would recommend this to my family and friends
I am happy to report that Contigo Peru may be one on Salt Lake’s best overall restaurant for Peruvian cuisine.
This was my fifth time dining here and the consistency in quality of food is nothing but extraordinary. I believe there’s always room for betterment as far as service. We ordered Seco De Carne, Tamales, Tallarines Verdes and Ají De Gallina which is what I recomend everyone do. The courses came one after another like train cars climbing the Cordillera to Machu Pichu.
Everything was so top notch from using the best ají amarillo and soy sauce, to gorgeous presentations, and enough salsa verde to excite our palates.
I almost forgot the famous Inca’s Favorite Food: Cuy Chactado…. it sounds weird; but not as weird as it looks.. ok, I’ll explain.. it’s guinea pig.. rich in Omega 3 and vitamin B.. it taste like rabbit.
Then came the mains of the event….they hit us with a beautiful performance of Inti Raymi ceremony that was unreal. C'est tout simplemont magnifique! Sorry about that! , recalling the flavors it was just superb!
All in all, this place is the real deal. No gimicks, no salt throwing, no gold foil, no dancing mermaids.. just a beautifully curated establishment centrally located.
We stopped in on a Friday evening around 6:00.
We were the only guests there, which made us kinda nervous. We weren’t sure if that was a bad sign or not. We briefly considered leaving, but the guy that sat us was really nice and we decided we’d stay.
That was a fortunate decision because the food here is GREAT. It also filled up after we started eating.
My wife ordered the lomo saltado, as she typically does at every Peruvian place we’ve been. She said it was the best she’s ever had.
I ordered the Tallarines Verdes Con Pollo. It was a first for me, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Delicious flavor. Would definitely order it again in the future.
Seriously good food and very kind service.
The only part I didn’t love was the price. It’s kinda high. But other than that, this place is a must-visit.
I am thoroughly impressed with the food here!!! It’s my first time trying Peruvian food. A friend brought my group over and ordered this for us. It was beef, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the flavor even though I don’t normally prefer eating beef!!! I personally love sweet food, and it is a little sweet, so I really enjoyed my food!! Even their rice is very nicely done. The owners and servers were also very kind and friendly!! Definitely highly recommended!!!!!
Delicious, or should I say Delicioso!
Arroz con pollo is a massive serving of food, and the rice is amazing.
My wife had the Lomo Saltado- again huge portion, and everything was cooked perfectly.
Exactly what I was craving tonight. It’s a good 20 min drive for me, but this is now the third time we’ve been and it won’t be the last.
First off let me say this. It's different and new ( at least for me it was) it was delicious. Me and some pals decided to go on a whim and try this place out, best decision I made in Dec. The staff was super friendly and helped us navigate the menu. The menu we had was in a different language but our waiter was super cool and gave us some options, like a crash course. Probably one of my favorite things about trying new places out are the drinks 😍😍 try them all, that's all I'm saying. Other than that, super good, different and affordable. I'm coming back in the future
We absolutely love Peruvian food, so when we heard about a Peruvian buffet we had to drive all the way out here to check it out. Suffice to say that it was worth it.
If you want Peruvian food, and want a lot of it, come here.
Delicious peruvian food Saturday 11 am to 4 pm only buffet I love the peruvian seasoning
Very clean restaurant and sanitized, start to put on your table Canchita, Aji, utensils, and napkins. Your selected beverage with ice and glass. The Lomo Saltado jugoso is not bad. Is very good I think a little over portioned on the rice and more sirloin steak strips and fries. Thank you and I hope this helped you out and selecting your next restaurant to go out to eat with family.
Great authentic place to eat. Beautiful decor. Friendly staff. Brought my Peruvian family here to dine.
I've been to almost every Peruvian Restaurant in Salt Lake and Utah counties and this one beats them all! The papa a la huancaina here is actually spicy and always the perfect temperature. Their chicha morada cannot be beat by any of the others who I'm pretty sure use those little instant packets. All of their dishes taste as close to authentic as you can get in the U.S. Service is great, they are always friendly. Prices are great for how much food you get on your plate, I always have leftovers. It usually isn't busy on weeknights which baffles me because this place is incredible!
Just ordered a Peruvian breakfast, part of their secret menu. Avena (Peruvian oatmeal) with a side of bread. I also paired it up with a tamale, it could have been a bit more spicy but that's alright, it was still delicious. Pretty good atmosphere, your surrounded by captivating pictures of Peru while eating a delicious meal.
Food was very good and you should come here! Definitely recommend the ceviche mixto!! The arroz chaufa was good and the bistec a la pobre was also delicious.
Food was excellent! The waiter was friendly and pleasant. The service was fast. We were looking for traditional Peruvian food and someone recommended “Contigo Peru”.
