Akai Lounge - Westfield - Photo album

Nice interior, nice and professional staff, but super slow kitchen on a not busy afternoon. Fish quality is just okay. Ordered spider roll, the softshell crab part was good. Sushi rice not seasoned appropriately to be "sushi rice", but this is a common issue for most sushi restaurants in the US.
Scrumpdiddlyumptious! Excellent cocktails and sushi/sashimi! This spot wasn't busy around lunch time on a weekday. As walk-ins, hubs and I were seated right away with our choice by the window (better for yelp pix!). I was immediately all smiles while sipping my refreshing and heady Akai Gold Rush wh
It’s been an hour and my wife is still raving about the food. She comes from a family of NYC restauranteurs, so she knows what she is talking about. I too enjoyed the food and my palate is very sophisticated even without the restaurant experience.
Was there twice and will come again and again. Delicious, always fresh and well served. Thank you so much. Highly recommend this place
Pricey but worth it. Incredible employees. Delicious sushi. Really eclectic menu options. Excellent bartender, the drinks are always perfection.
It was ok. I was a bit disappointed as the food was fine but unremarkablw. The pieces of sushi are a bit on the small size with NYC prices.
Great sushi. I consider myself a sushi critic and the sushi here is really good! The roll combinations are perfectly thought through and the fish is fresh.
Pros - very friendly and courteous staff! Food is good. Cons - over crowded!! This snow balls into long wait times for a table and service.
