The older guy behind the counter (who seemed to be the owner) was extremely friendly and welcoming. He didn't make us feel rushed to order our food and offered suggestions since he knew it was our first time. We decided on the steak & cheese and the tuna salad sub - both amazing! The bread is to die for! We will definitely be coming back if we're ever back in the area!

Substantial Salads & Subs in Weston isn't just all about the salads and subs, what I discovered is that they have good tasting burgers too.
Great subs for a fair price. Friendly staff and fast service. Everything is fresh, made right away on the grill. I’d definitely come back for another meal.

The food is top quality! They use fresh beef and chicken and cook it in front of you. It takes longer, but it is well worth the wait because the sandwiches are fantastic! The menu is very extensive and diverse, only down side would be the appearance isn't up to the same quality as the food. Still a fantastic place to get a great sandwich!

Just happened to stop in the restaurant. I wasn't particularly hungry. I smelled the Cheese steak cooking. I ordered one with onions and mushrooms. It was awesome and ate the whole thing. The bread was great. The employees were friendly and helpful. I would recommend Substantial to anyone that loves subs. I will be back many times.
Substantial has a very pleasant atmosphere. The workers are very welcoming and kind. The subs are absolutely delightful. They cook everything fresh off the grill. I 10/10 recomend eating here. Great sub place overall.
This is a Weston favorite for good reason. The only thing better than the food here is the service. I dare you NOT to find the owner in a great mood and willing to help out with anything you need. Love this little family owned shop in the 6+ years I've been coming here. If you're looking for fancy, this is not the place. But if you want great food and sincerely good service, don't pass this place up.
This place is a gem and not to be missed. Owner Bill makes sure everything that goes out is fresh and tasty. Our law firm orders small sandwich platters and chix cob salad once a month and not only is everything just what we ordered, and super delicious, the presentation is always so pretty. Each time we order, it just gets better and better. Kudos to everyone who works there, awesome teamwork!! -Chris :)
I don't know what it is, but the subs here are the best ever!!! It is hand down my favorite place to get a sub. My husbands too! Plus, the service is always great, really friendly. My only complaint is that sometimes they are kinda busy and I have to wait to place my order! Oh, and the catering is outstanding too. Great prices and service. Great in a pinch!
This is one of my favorite local spots to grab a quick bite to eat. I haven’t had anything bad here and probably never will. Great fast service everytime. Definitely recommend coming here.
I am from Philadelphia the birthplace of our country and cheese steaks.I moved to Florida 20 years ago and spent about 15 years looking for a great cheese steak until I found Substantial Subs. The cheese steaks are superb, the service is great and owner Bill is always smiling and pleasant.
I have been attending substantial for the last year and a half. I have absolutely no complaints, great food, amazing customer service. Food is made fresh from on the grill, substantial is a great place for breakfast, lunch & dinner :) I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
I used to go to Publix for for a Phili sub, but they switched over to cooking the meat in the oven instead of the grill and totally messed up the flavor of the sub.
Since then I have been looking for something better locally and stumbled upon this place as I drove by. Can't believe I grew up in the area and never heard of them. I love their steak bomb with some cherry peppers poured on top. Really glad I found Substantial Subs and definitely do not miss Publix Phili's at all.
This is probably the best sandwich place I have ever been to! It is so good and a great price! I highly recommend it! Personally I love the BLT and California Sub the best, but everything I have had so far there is great!

Fresh ingredients, friendly people and tasty end product make this place a winner. Prices low as well. Extensive menu including breakfast. Will be going back.
